  1. As I've probably mentioned in this thread at some point, The thing that REALLY bothered me about Beltran was not the strikeout but when he signed with the Yankees years later. His first act was to say how the Mets mistreated him despite never actually leading the club to the World Series. But I mean to be fair I've said some not so kind things about other people before I wished I could take back. I suppose I can learn to forgive. However, if memory serves me correct he always had a pretty bland personality as a Met and didn't enjoy talking to the media. I can't remember any real leadership abilities as well. Carlos better realize he's the liaison between the front office and the media. The Wilsons never talk to the media. Brodie will only show up when it's convenient for him. He's gonna have to learn to be an extrovert for a quiet kind of guy or he'll get eaten alive and spit right back out. As of right now I really don't like this hire. I wish Mickey was still around if they weren't going to pursue Girardi. I hope I'm made to look like a fool but this is gonna be as bad a hire as Adam Gase for the Jets
  2. I think you got it reversed. It was a guy in a Cherebet jersey who hit the female Patriots fan. Though the video showed her heckling him. Actually I find Philly people all right as long as it doesn’t involve the Eagles
  3. Team started 5-2 as well with McDermott in 2017 before landing at 5-5 then recovering. You only have to look back to two years if you hope history repeats itself
  4. So our old pal Mickey landed the Angels pithing coach job: https://www.lonestarball.com/2019/10/27/20934947/mlb-rumors-mickey-callaway-angels-pitching-coach-los-angeles-anaheim-new-york-mets So I say good for him. Probably a role that would suit him better than Mets manager. Then again why did we the front office fire him again? Certainly not very apparent they want an upgrade at that position
  5. ^^^ This. The vibes I got from the boards before today: Josh Allen is a 4th quarter master who will always come through in the clutch. That one poll most even thought he would have led the win against the Pats if not injured. The Bills are a good team that's why other teams look bad Just trust the process. We are 5-1. "The process" guarantees wins no matter what it looks like After today: This team is trash Josh Allen sucks We were 5-1 because we had a cupcake schedule The OC should be fired Like you I think the Bills are in the middle. 2020 was really the year I had the high expectations for. 9-10 wins is still definitely doable though this year.
  6. Reading these boards the first few weeks of the year it seems discussing Allen is an emotional topic around here. Imo some fans here will go at any length to defend him. Which is understandable to me to some degree. Josh certainly has a lot of likable traits to him to say the least. Hard worker, humble, seemingly willing to improve himself, donates money to charity every TD pass, started at a junior college, hangs out at local high school games, etc... Heck even some of his negative traits on the field is trying to do too much and willing to risk injury for the betterment of the team. The twitter posts he did were dumb but hey who hasn't said stupid things when they were a kid. I'm sure if I looked in my post history here there's some stupid stuff. So I tried to make the case he's a likable/relatable dude. That being said I could separate the person from the football player. I've always been in the middle on Josh from when he got drafted. On draft night I didn't have a strong opinion on him. Saw it as time will tell if he was a smart pick. Today still in the middle, see things I like but still areas he can improve on. He may or may not be the next Jim Kelly. I've never played the game professionally and am just another fan though. Hence the user name. I'd admit there's a little of me that gets annoyed when outside fans might question his abilities. I think it's because of his personality traits.
  7. I mean of course I can’t prove it but I never thought they took Girardi seriously... he had to strong a personality
  8. Yep! You beat me too it. One of the most exciting plays in football history imo in that game. Randall turning in what looked like a Bruce Smith safety into a 100 yard Fred Barnett Touchdown. Bills still won though
  9. The balls are in her court
  10. One of the worst jobs I had in my life was in cubicles for the sole purpose of monitoring you and seeing you. There was other reasons that job was awful but that didn’t help
  11. Post here during work hours.. it keeps my sanity though and allows for me some diversion/stress relief!
  12. I remember the Jets had a Sunday or Monday night loss in the Rich Kotite era to the Raiders 41-10. It's considered the low point of those years. This one looks like it's gonna double that in depression for Jets fans
  13. lol they have to call some penalties on the Pats to not make it look to suspicious
  14. Imo humbly I think there’s certain things that go beyond normal heckling of you suck, overrated, pansy, etc... Mental disorders to me anyway is in poor taste to ride someone for Regardless why haven’t I read stories of other teams fan bases heckling Zack like that?
  15. I can’t remember a year where the schedule seemed to be this easy. I know in 2008 that 5-1 start might have been misleading but the schedule got harder. The only sure loss Id say is the Patriots game and the Cowboys game I would lean toward a loss. All the other games we have as good a shot as the opponent. I realize any given Sunday anything can happen. Heck the Dolphins decide to kick a FG in the 3rd qtr yesterday instead of going for the fake we might be having different conversations today. I mean maybe this is what it feels like though to have a solid team though? On the other hand we’ve already played against two teams without a win. Bottom line the rest of the schedule the Bills should own
  16. Actually last years final game against the Dolphins might have been that game. Imo fans here loved him here all off season as that was the last image of him all offseason. I've always been in the middle on Josh from when he got drafted. Didn't love or hate the pick, it was more like time will tell if this is a good move or not. I still remain in the middle with him. He hasn't done anything so far this year to really impress me but he's 5-1 and today had no turnovers. But I mean so be it the defense does it's thing and we keep winning that's the main thing with me
  17. https://sports.yahoo.com/yankees-fans-zack-greinke-social-anxiety-032417563.html In 2006 he had to sit out with Kansas City because his anxiety got the best of him
  18. Didn't mind when the Mets brought back Minaya as he's shown to have an eye for raw talent. This move might kill all that. Yes, and their fans of course keeping it classy along the way. Berating a guy with mental illness (Grienkie). Anxiety & depression is a road I've been down as well. I mean I realize heckling is part of it and you need tough skin to be a player. But I mean what other fanbase needs their manager to make a video telling fans to not loiter the field?
  19. Think most encouraging today imo was the 0 INT's
  20. This is the role that always stands out for me
