  1. Earliest memories of eating in the Buffalo area I have was my dad taking me to Anderson's on Main Street in Williamsville then later to Alethea's Chocolate down the road. I was around 6 or 7 (early 90's). Still remember thinking the food was real good. I was at multiple Anderson's not that long ago and the food is still very good. Good service as well. Alethea's was just how I remembered it as well. Old school chocolate shop with ice cream. Delicious. Still a very pleasant/charming place
  2. I watched Heathers recently. While in no way can the movie ever be made today it's pretty timeless considering what was happening in schools pre Covid. It was satire back in the day but holds up very well
  3. I used to love Dr Pepper Is it just me or has the taste changed on the product over the last few years?
  4. Which do you prefer? I’m told diet is “healthier”. But it increases your appetite and has phenylalanine in it
  5. Contrary to the other thread here this is a song I think that still holds up very well despite the 80s/new age sound to it. It was written about politicians but it’s meaning imo can be ambiguous
  6. No didn’t know it existed. I do remember Fred’s performance of Break Stuff the crowd started getting out of hand. That and In Together Now were my jams back then
  7. Congrats on the newborn! I actually envy the position you’re in in a way. I don’t necessarily agree with the saying the best time to look for a job is when you’re employed. I’m sure it looks better but you have more time to emotionally invest in interviews if you’re home. Plus the awkward try to leave work early/not raise suspicion thing. In a way you have the best of both worlds. As other said here my advise is to trust you’re gut and think what’s best for you long term
  8. Fred Durst/Limp Bizkit They had some good aggressive songs I liked as an angry teen. But I’d never listen to them even for nostalgia purposes PEZ was a favorite of mine. Haven’t seen that in ages
  9. I mean even from 10 years ago when Fitz signed his extension for 6 years/ $59 million here. Or Super Mario's record deal at the time. it is crazy
  10. Outside of The Wedding Singer, most Adam Sandler comedy films
  11. I’m at the same point with sports. I’d add as well understanding the business side to it more. John Starks was never my favorite basketball player but as a kid I thought how messed up it was when he got traded. Plus per the post above I miss a good sports section in a newspaper. That being said I’d still contend sports in general were better 15-30 years ago
  12. I still remember this commercial! But yes sadly newspapers I actually liked following all sports standings on a paper versus the Internet
  13. I would add as well 2015 was the year The Four Falls of Buffalo premiered on ESPN. While I was getting to the point the 90's nostalgia was all but dead in me, I thought that special was done well and it put a little battery in my back as a fan. Unfortunately the next week was the loss to the Eagles which more or less cancelled the playoffs. Then an embarrassing loss to Washington where even Murphy & Kelso were calling out the team for quitting. But beating the Cowboys/Jets ended the year on a slight high note. Like Rex is worth another year lol
  14. Couple things that stand out to me about that year: I remember Week 2 against the Patriots the fans tried to set a Book of World Records for crowd noise. The day turned to be a fail in more ways than one. It was great to finally beat the Titans. The Bills lost like 10 prior games or something like that, often in times in heart breaking fashion I kind of regret it now but it was like really really fun at the time to laugh at giddy Jets fans that last day of the season. Unfortunately though that helped the Steelers get in the playoffs. Whenever people talked about the importance in the Wonderlic score in the NFL I will always point out the last game of the year against the Jets. In arguably the biggest game/drive of his life Ryan Fitzpatrick got outsmarted by Leodis McKelvin. I still think Ryan had like the highest reported score on it? It's enough for me to conclude the test is BS. I still enjoyed beating the Cowboys that year even though the game was meaningless. Hey it improved the all time standings against them LOL. In the end it was a disappointing year over all but it did have some fun moments
  15. I think someone mentioned it before but MTV. It's 40th anniversary is actually today but it's been irrelevant in my life the past 20 years. I'd add TV as well as most series I watch are on Amazon/Netflix/Hulu, etc... While it makes me sound like a spoiled kid I realize I don't have much attention span anymore for commercials
  16. As a kid I loved the DARE program in school. It was cool to me hearing a cop talk about all the dangers in drugs, just say no….. He was a cool guy from what I recall. I’ll just leave it as I think the program was a bust overall looking back. But i still think fondly of it. Anyone could relate?
  17. The last song on A Wizard A True Star. It used to be played at the end of Indian games. One of his best but not necessarily viewed as a classic song
  18. I forgotten how poor of a game Miami played that day
  19. Yes it’s a favorite. To be fair Im sure there’s a number of Bills fans as well that would follow Josh Allen driving and have him autograph their you know what as Paul alluded…. Well you’ve seen the movie 🤣
  20. As a kid growing up in the 90s Tiffani Thiessen was mine and pretty standard I think for boys then. But for someone lesser known it was Kassie DePaiva from Days of Our Lives as I got older. Soaps weren’t exactly my thing but she was pretty enough to notice channel surfing. If her character came on I’d watch. How about yours?
  21. Team should still be greatful to the Bengals. If Buffalo don’t make the playoffs in 2017, I think 2018 and beyond would have played out very differently. For one thing that playoff game in 17 I think showed Tyrod definitely wasn’t a long term solution for growth. Nothing personal, just saying. Not so sure they’d of drafted a QB that year otherwise. To sum it up it was a lot easier for McDerrmott to sell The Process after breaking the drought his first year coaching versus if he hadn’t.
  22. I see no need to apologize for winning the division at only 85 games per say. I’m sure the team has been unlucky more often than not over the years that way. Yeah assuming starting pitching stays healthy how can you not like the Mets in a best of 5 with Jake.
  23. Die Hard With A Vengeance. It's easily my favorite one in the series. In the opening shot there's a business that has a Back To School Sale sign on it. Plus Summer In The City is the opening song. The banter between McClane and Samuel Jackson in that movie is top notch
  24. @Gugny@SinceThe70s I caught the game from the 7th inning on today at the gym. Needless to say I don't need to say what happened. Does Cohen just eat Diaz's contract if he keeps showing untrustworthy?
  25. People in general as I'm often uncomfortable in social situations. I've had one for dogs as well since I was little. I think it stemmed from living next door to a mean German Shepard that was always barking violently in the backyard more often than not and at me a good number of times. Wasn't just me, our mailman at the time said it tried to bite him a few times as it got older. A few weeks ago a dog jumped all over me walking and I just let it without engaging with him. It's like I still never know kind of thing
