  1. The Texans had to be extremely bad for a year following their former weirdo QB taking a year off from assaulting women. The ONLY reason they’re bouncing back now is that the only team dumber than them gave up an absolute fortune to relieve Houston of their weirdo QB. With those pieces they managed to get a very promising looking QB (after a team in front of them didn’t pick the right guy, it would seem) and they also hit on late draft picks. Sounds familiar… Despite the recent struggles, we have a generational QB who, admittedly, is in a slump. 90% of teams would kill to have JA, and we have talent on the team who just needs to clean a few things up. 5-5 isn’t great, but we are not out of the picture yet. I wouldn’t trade with Houston because we’ve already been down that road. Good teams struggle sometimes, great teams overcome them. We will find out which we are over the next few weeks. I am in no way too much of a homer to say we are perfectly fine, but I also don’t believe it’s the end of the world just yet. Go Bills.
  2. We wanted to make him look good so NE keeps him another season or two. Makes sure Williams doesn’t end up in NE
  3. This was exactly my first thought. Chan was asked why he was playing an ineffective Spiller instead of Jackson, and that was the best he could come up with… I’m usually willing to give McD a little rope but comments like that are just not good at all. “why did we stop doing the thing that worked?” ”because reasons.”
  4. Lol well it looks like it’s us vs the Bengals, 12th man, and the refs. Wonderful. LFG.
  5. Hell yes Diggs. He’s gonna keep that fire stoked tonight.
  6. If anyone hires this clown after this for a head coaching position they deserve everything they get. His broncos stint should have been enough, then the Colts debacle. Sorry Raiders but this is what you get. Hopefully nobody else makes the same mistake
  7. 7-9, just the way Dick Jauron would love it.
  8. Neither of these teams looked all that great today. This is a good start to Sunday.
  9. Don’t know that they have enough to overturn though
  10. This season has been crazy with all the injuries we have seen for QBs. I know backup QB isn’t a glamorous acquisition but I can think of 8 teams that could really use one right now. 1: Danny Dimes missed a few weeks. Giants are 2-6 and the season is all but over for them. Even with Tyrod as a backup they only did ok and then HE got hurt. 2. Justin Fields missed 2 weeks. Bears are 2-6 and relying on a rookie from a small school to kee them afloat. Given their upcoming picks if they stay the course it would likely be best if they punt on this season and gear up for next year. 3. Kirk Cousins is done for the year and the Vikings are unlikely to salvage their season now. They got Dobbs who is a good backup but had to trade for him and he now needs to learn a new system to get caught up. Jefferson also being hurt doesn’t help either. 4. Jimmy G looks to be sunsetting and their backup QB is rookie Aiden O’Connell. They have Hoyer as well but given their record and their front office chaos, the rook makes more sense to see what they have. The days of Jimmy G getting an obscene amount of money are nearly over, and he could transition to a serviceable backup once again. Season is toast but the coaching was a bigger culprit than anything. 5. Jets got 4 snaps out of Rodgers before his Achilles snapped. Zack Wilson is playing once again and the Jets success has not been due to him (thank you defense). If they had someone like Dobbs I think they’d be very competitive, but they’ve been lucky to get by without their QB. 6. The Colts have probably the best backup in the league with Minshew. That being said they are in the middle of a 3-way suck fest (phrasing) with Houston and Tennessee and the division is all but assured for the Jags. 7. Speaking of Tennessee, they’re down 2 QBs and may have actually gotten lucky for it by getting Levis some meaningful snaps. That being said, they’re not winning anything right now and waste another year of Henry being their bellcow. 8.The Browns are starting PJ Walker because DeSean Watson is “injured” and can’t possibly play football with all that guaranteed money weighing him down. The defense is carrying the team, but Watson has sucked and a decent backup might keep them in WC conversation at least. PJ hasn’t been bad honestly, but they traded Dobbs to AZ and likely regret that decision.
  11. Lost that bet. I thought Staley would be first to go this year 😂
  12. Jets about to line up with 8 lineman, Breece hall, Garret Wilson, and whomever is capable of throwing the ball. thoughts and prayers.
  13. I love Tom Grossi, which means his sadness is our gain in this case lol.
  14. I saw the compensation was a 6th. I’d have done that trade just for the insurance he would bring lol
  15. Wallace to Washington for a late pick. some of you can breathe a sigh of relief
  16. The Bears, who are 2-6, adding players instead of selling right now (also in line to have 2 top-5 picks):
  17. Yeah, great player but not worth the price in my eyes. Sucks, but it is what it is. Good haul for a (now suddenly) rebuilding Giants
  18. omg Broncos are blasting “Shake it Off” in the stands right now 😂😂😂
  19. “WHAT A BUM” ”TURNOVER MACHINE” ”YOU TAKE THE GOOD PATRICK WITH THE BAD PATRICK” ”HE’S MID-TIER AT BEST” ”LITERALLY GAVE THE GAME AWAY” ”GARBAGE PLAYER, GARBAGE TEAM!” …am I doing this right? Just following what some people said about Josh
  20. 1. Pat had a little cold 2. Taylor didn’t make jt 3. Pat got a boo-boo on his hand 4. Broncos prayed to Satan or Cthulhu to curse KC 5. Travis Kelce’s legs are getting weaker these days 6. Broncos stole KC playbook pick one or all lol
  21. Pats this week, jets next week. It’s sad but true
  22. Here’s my thoughts after sleeping on it. Not worth yet another review thread so it’s going here: 1. Josh Allen seemed a bit looser than previous weeks. He was able to run when it was called for, effective at getting the ball out, and looked way more comfortable and in control tonight. This was very good to see 2. I think the O-Line may have done some of its best work all season. Right side was being challenged again (as per usual it seems) but they gave Josh a few standout plays where he could let a play develop before pressure got too much. Not perfect, but a good showing against a decent defensive front. 3. Running was mostly good too, and the bad was more the fault of the playcall than execution. No more shotgun runs on 3rd/4th and short, please. Cook ran well, and while King Henry wouldn’t hurt, I don’t see exactly how he would help much either. Better plays are needed, not better players. 4. Kincaid is gonna be really special. Last week he put the league on notice, this week he was trusted and executed. I e said a few times the Knox injury was going to be his opportunity to become TE1 and he is showing that already. Knox still has a place on this team for sure, but Kincaid needs to be out there catching passes. 5. Shakir had a nice game. He seems to be getting more used to catching passes from Josh and is earning more trust and reps. He’s not taking over for Gabe yet, but with running 11 personnel he’s going to see more opportunities. 6. Offensive playcalling seemed mostly good. Uptempo works and you could easily see Josh making adjustments as needed when he had time to see what was in front of him. As I mentioned earlier we need to throw shotgun runs on short downs into the trash because I literally think it worked one time in the last 7 games maybe? 7. Coaching through the first 3 quarters I thought was solid. I didn’t have too many issues leading up to that without being nit-picky, but the last quarter sucked and shows obvious room for improvement. Also, I think 1 of the 2 punts we did at midfield should have been gone for. Our D had smacked them around leading up to the 4th quarter and should have been trusted to keep stopping them. On that same note, the offense was clicking and should have been trusted to get 2 yards. We went from trying to get points to trying to avoid mistakes, which I get sometimes but to that point we should have been willing to drive a dagger into their heart. 8. Timeouts on 4th down sure do seem to not ever go in our favor… maybe we should stop trying that. 9. Sam Martin was a beast. I know how nervous we all were with Araiza getting booted and not knowing who we could get on short notice, but thankfully the Broncos were as inept then as they are now. One of our best FA pickups that’s doesn’t get recognized often enough. He definitely kept us in it by pinning them back deep 3 times, and should have been 4 if we get to the ball on the last kick. Perfect execution on his side. 10. Refs were all over the place last night and made some boneheaded calls. There are a few examples I could point out but the absolute worst was the 4th down face mask call on Phillips. Yes, he did have a face mask but the whistle should have been blown before that even happened as Mayfield was getting pushed further and further back and was left out there to be brought down. Forward progress was not a factor and he was gonna go down hard, so the play should have been stopped. Phillips did a good job up to that point and we likely would have been singing his praises had the refs done their job. overall I say the game was a 7.5/10. Mostly good game with some areas of improvement. A dub is a dub and at 5-3 we are doing pretty good. A couple tough games coming up with Cincy and Jets but we hopefully get a game or two we can dominate (looking at you Broncos).
