I'm not all that sure that McCarron has pulled ahead. I think it is just as possible that McDermott is trying a different approach to see if it will smooth out the offense. Maybe 3 days McCarron, then 3 days Peterman, then ??? leading into the preseason game. The QB that improves the most within his 'set', will have a leg up. We'll know soon enough.

If Allen can't hit those short, move-the-chains passes, I doubt that he gets a start. A lot of 3 and outs are an ugly stat. I think McDermott knows that the D can be very good and keep us in games, as long as they are fresh.

This new DL is going to score some points this year. OL holding in end zone or intentional grounding in end zone = 2. Should be fun to watch.
