Who exactly is clamoring for more regular season football? It's too long as it is. I don't want to watch playoff games where the best players are out due to the grind of the season.

It is about next year - but that means getting talent this year to be ready. We're replacing 7 important pieces on our team this year. Hopefully next year that number is 2-3, and hopefully we aren't depending on the draft for immediate impact starters. This year is just about getting the next generation of guys up to speed while we eat a bunch of bad contracts and hopefully keeping a winning culture going.

They days of FA WRs are clearly in their prime, in case you haven't noticed.

I would. Defense is where this team has fallen apart historically and it's where KC has a massive edge. They make it a lot harder for Allen to score than we make it for Mahomes.

Mahomes is in the prime of his career and won 2 Super Bowls with less weapons than the Bills had. Weapons have never been the problem for us.

The value for Cooper DeJean there is pretty insane. He's significantly better than the WRs. If they don't want him, I'd prefer they trade down again and try to compile more picks. If we could end up with 4 picks between round 2 and the end of the 3rd, I think we're in a fantastic position to address the bloodbath that we created in the offseason.

Exactly. our backfield is a mess. You lose Douglas for any length of time and it's easily the worst unit in the league.

How much does a QB actually learn from the starter? They get access to tons of film and NFL coaching regardless of who the starter is.

Why? They're getting the deals so clearly the demand is there. A lot more WRs are drafted than RBs and it's a lot harder to find decent production out of them. Jefferson wasn't part of "both of them"

Why would most agree with taking a safety in the first round being a terrible decision if an elite prospect is there? We know from firsthand experience that Rapp is not a starting caliber Safety, and Mike Edwards has been atrocious throughout his career. You may not care about it much in April, but when Mahomes is burning us deep in January, you'll sure act surprised and blame the player when the GM and fans in the know knew full well they weren't up to the task. We have three primary needs: Safety(x2), DE and WR. In a deep WR draft, it's more likely we can get good talent later than a starting caliber safety.
