Our injuries in the secondary are killing us
LABILLBACKER replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Injuries all over this team are killing us. Linebackers, cornerbacks, safeties, Dlineman, OL, wrs, Qb...... -
It's a combination of both. Also Josh is definitely pressing. The whole world has already anointed the Bills SB winners. Now with injuries and mistakes we're coming back to earth.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

I think they realized it last year but it's getting validated this season. -
He's definitely dropped a few inuendos gushing over McVey and not so much McD.

What good does a selfish 4th down int accomplish when a knock down wins the game. Nothing obviously was taught to these guys after the Hail Murray. When a team makes the same mistakes that's 100% coaching.

This is exactly what's going on. Well said Process. Coaches expect their Superman to be 100% of our offense. Josh is trying too hard to meet these unrealistic expectations without the OL, RB, OC, 2nd half adjustments to help him. He's pressing and the INT's are a byproduct of this. Josh also has some blame because he's neglected the checkdowns that we're successful before. The coaches have to intervene delicately without giving Josh the illusion that they're "neutering" him.

NFL Week 10 - Vikings at Bills post game thread

It's like the league needs us for exciting games. We just don't get to win any. Just as bad as the first one. And just as bad as the 2 last week. -
What coach plus Allen would be the most successful?
LABILLBACKER replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daboll or Payton. I'm done waiting around for our Defensive HC to acknowledge the benefits of enhancing this offense around Josh. -
At this point we could lose to the Browns or Lions without blinking an eye.

Why is any reaction considered an over- reaction? Some, actually many of these reactions I've read over the last few hours are pretty accurate. We need to calm Josh down and coach him up again on the value of the checkdown. Maybe it opens up deeper stuff later. Honestly I have no clue what to do with our run game until the offseason. This is not a top 5 defense with all these injuries. And the coaches have to do better. That's all I have, today was exhausting.

Nyheim Hines: Why did we bother trading for him?
LABILLBACKER replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually I started worrying way back in Houston. -
Then why wasn't a more polished Dean Marlowe in there rather than a ST guy making his first ever safety start????? Poor coaching

The final play the 3 primary receivers all just ran to the endzone and actually they were all pretty close to each other. I think McK went short left to the 16 but was guarded. By the time Singletary released, Josh was already winding up for the endzone. Even if he does dump it off to motor, he probably barely makes it inside the 15. No one ran a mid field route to the 10. -
Devin didn't do squat in the 2nd half. And I dont care anymore who's to blame. We've had a deficient OL for 3 years. We've had mediocre RB's for 3 years. Devin got 47 today which is his exact yearly avg. Nothing changes....JoshCentric.....

Yes, all 3 wanted a shot at that interception. It's in the NFL DNA instincts. The taller wr will always catch that ball if no one tries to knock it down. And yes it's gotta get coached out. -
Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
LABILLBACKER replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Perfectly said. We gave clappy a pass for the 16-0 lead loss in Houston. We saw our defense get shredded by KC in 2020. We chalked up not pooching with 13s to poor communication....poor execution blah blah. Now as many Bills fans have accurately acknowledged, he's over corrected from conservative to aggressive by not kicking that 4th quarter fg. Josh Allen’s athleticism gets us in the playoffs but great coaches help win Lombardis. -
Yup Less Keriokie Less commercials Less injuries Less stupid coaching decisions Less heroball

LABILLBACKER replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wasting this very good players skills is just another stupid decision by these knucklehead coaches. They're smart enough to acquire him yet terrified to believe in them. Hines over McK, Marlowe over Lewis, Shakir anytime?.....makes no sense. -
They've created this monster. They're asking him to be 92% of the offense. This includes both running & passing. For a very short yet successful time, Josh took the checkdowns and it worked. Now he's found himself in more closer games and he's starting to press and return to heroball. Only these coaches can turn his thought process around. That early 4th quarter fg that never was would've helped. You've created this, now they have to sit him down and change the narrative.
-
He probably didn't know this. I think Schottenheimer would be a better comparison.
-
It wasn't Josh's or Dorsey's decision to not kick the fg and extend the lead. This game is 50% on Josh and 50% on the 3 headed monster. McD, Frazier, Dorsey.

I lost track of how many 3rd & 8, 3rd & 12, 3rd & 19 type downs being converted today. And with Cousins we're not talking about a mobile qb. Pathetic
