We're not going to get value on a trade. You simply try to maximize his production this season to equate to a #5 receiver. Especially in the redzone. Then on June 2nd, 2025 I'm saying goodbye, along with Von. It was an exorbitant and premature extension primarily based on his relationship with 17.

Bills Rookie Media Day Mic'd Up DeWayne Carter
LABILLBACKER replied to Warcodered's topic in The Stadium Wall
McCargo was a comparable 1st round bust to Maybin. He started 1 game in his terrible 6 yr career. Carter is a 3rd round rotational DT who could very well take over DQ's spot when he's gone. He's got a great personality that could easily translate to a very good player. I don’t see any comparison to McCargo. .....and for the record I wanted Franklin too but apparently Brandon had no intention of ever double dipping this draft. Carter will be fine. The same might not be said for whatever wr is supposed to step up and become the double dip? -
I see Shakir as a faster long term version of Beasley. I see him as a #3 and Coleman/Samuel as both #2 types. We don't have a true WR1, but Kincaid could fill that role eventually.

Yeah....Pryor, Williams, Carlin and Murphy are all comedic geniuses that did swear. But they sure as "hell" didn't have to drop F- bombs every 2.7 seconds to magnifying their jokes. Brady's roast had several hilarious moments but there were many "over the top" vulgar jokes that just seemed forced because the profanity was "all you can eat". I guess that was enough to avoid crypto.

Chiefs Bills Playoff Replay / Bass Kicking
LABILLBACKER replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
I totally agree but Bass still has to make that clutch kick to at least tie the game. He was 40% in the playoffs which usually gets you fired. -
Chiefs Bills Playoff Replay / Bass Kicking

There are alot of golf similarities with kicking. Tempo, foot path (club path), foot open...face open you will fade kicks right. This is 100% not a holder problem. Matt's technique is screwed up. -
Chiefs Bills Playoff Replay / Bass Kicking

And that's another problem. How can we justify keeping a kicker that your HC has no faith in beyond 49 yards. -
Chiefs Bills Playoff Replay / Bass Kicking

All I know is he has this season to redeem himself or he's gone. 82% is not going to cut it. 40% in the playoffs gets you fired. Yeah, let's wait till he misses a playoff game winning kick against the Chiefs before we do anything. Great strategy 🙄 -
At least Cam Lewis is mediocre at 3 different positions making him invaluable. I still marvel at how this guy makes the team every year.

2024 Buffalo Bills Roster - All 91 Spots filled
LABILLBACKER replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, Thompson, Johnson & Keys are basically automatic cuts. -
Yeah overall the roast was long but extremely funny and beautifully awkward. Could've used a few less incessant Gisselle/ Hernandez jokes. Bledsoe & Glazier kicked it off well. Gronk was high and appropriately stupid at the same time.

She won the night. Amazing set...

Logic, we all understand what Damar has meant to this team. His story will forever be part of what makes Buffalo a special place to play. But there comes a time when sentimentality transitions to common sense. If McDermott deems there's a better backup safety or ST player available, he'll make the cut as he should. We're not getting any picks from anyone based on the likelihood that Damar will be cut. And Bills fans will send him off with the hope of continued success.

Alot more than 56% of teams do foolish things during an NFL season. Once Von is jettisoned after this season, we'll be left with AJE (3.7 sacks/yr) and Groot (5.6 sacks/ yr). That's terrifying.....better hope Solomon blows up or BB uses some of that 25' cap on a pass rusher.

Xavier Worthy injured during 1st practice as a Chief
LABILLBACKER replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
At this point we gotta hope Maye busts, Keon shines and Worthy "breaks easily"....Tua will never consistently hit his speed guys and father time will take care of Aaron. -
The Bills should sign kicker Jake Bates from the UFL
LABILLBACKER replied to LeGOATski's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just think the Bills deserve a better kicker. McD rarely let's Bass attempt kicks beyond 50. After 4 years, Bass is a career 84% which sticks him in the middle of the pack. Now this whole argument/ discussion might seem moot considering Bass's contract. But you can't ignore last season and him missing 3 of 5 playoff kicks inside 49 yards. If he doesn't clutch up and turn it around, I'm cutting him after the season and eating this foolish extension. Bates will be long gone.... -
In a year that made the most sense to double dip at wr, Beane chose not to. And my reasoning was simply 2 factors. First, you may not see another pool of wr talent in a draft like this for several years. Second, it acts as an insurance policy in case Coleman doesn't pan out. It wouldn't of killed BB to grab Franklin or Walker in the mid rounds. No one is rooting for Keon to shine more than me. But if he struggles, it will go down in "Beane Lore" as a collasal mistake.

We don't know yet if Shakir can step up? That's an unknown. We don’t know what we're going to get from Coleman. That's another unknown. Has Cook done enough in the off season to improve his brutal td drops? Really the only 2 semi guarantees are that Kincaid and Samuel should perform well. But Kincaid is nowhere at the level of Kelce, Kittle or Andrews yet. So there is promise but also unknowns.

There won't be one receiver that they can double. Opposing D coordinators will have to adjust on the fly if Brady & Josh do a good job to spread the targets.

With the Claypool signing, I'd say there's only 3 locks at wr. Shakir, Samuel and Coleman. After those guys, anything can happen based on motivation and desire. This is not a great wr room but the battle between Shorter, Shavers, Hamler, Hollins, Cephus, Claypool and Isabella should be entertaining.
