  1. I think the plan all along was Beasley vs CIN - zone team , then Brown vs NE - man team. Makes sense
  2. It’s a preset formula that projects out years in advance. It goes by order of finish within a division, not by team. The home/ away portion is predetermined. Starting in 2024 the Bills have a chance to host KC 3 straight years if they finish in the same slot.
  3. The bye is still the bye - a “ free” win and pass to the next round. That’s bigger than the home field and the #1 seed is now too big an advantage with only one bye available. It actually is excessively beneficial and something should be done to change that. Almost as bad as one bye per conference…
  4. I sure hope not: love the throwback Unis.
  5. The NFL has gotten away from using College facilities to host games. It won’t be considered an option.
  6. They had a small chance at the #1 seed : I believe it was in the 15% range even if they had won on Monday night. They still would have needed a KC loss. So they had a chance at 2 , but the Bills had a chance at #1 on their own if they won their games. The MNF game was cancelled : it officially never happened. A potential BUF / CIN playoff matchup wouldn’t be on a neutral field as the teams played the same amount of games and had different records. KC made out the best getting the bye. The neutral field compensates for some of the lost opportunity.
  7. Of course they’d say “ if we knew this or that .” The fact is nobody knew at the time. The league decided that the game would not be resumed as it would require an entire rework of the playoff schedule. In the end they decide to do the least disruptive thing: change a few parameters in the AFC if certain situations came about. The Bengals or Bills didn’t have too much say either way. If the league had went with the other option they’d be making the game up next Sunday as the NFC playoffs got under way. They decided that resuming the game had “ bad mojo” and wanted to move on. Rescheduling for Tuesday and the Bills forfeiting would have been terrible optics for the NFL and they went to great lengths to avoid that situation. It wasn’t up to the teams: they were told what to do after the postponement.
  8. I think the Bengals want a self made bye this week by resting starters and don’t want Sundays result to have any bearing. I don’t think they’re worried about the opponent.
  9. I’d take either over Vegas by a mile. Atlanta and Charlotte as well
  10. Penalties killed it… bad decision by Dobbs can’t dump it off there
  11. Still think the Jags lose here …
  12. If it was Mahomes then definitely a forward pass. No doubt in my mind
  13. That was close but was a fumble … had to be expecting a blitz on that 3rd down with the time remaining. Huge mistake by Dobbs
  14. Charlotte please. Nonstop flights and not expensive from BUF. Nashville an expensive flight from Buffalo and further than I’d like to drive. I’d say restore bye to top 2 teams or go with neutral site title game. Yes, Indy turned down offer to host.
  15. Dobbs better than I thought he’d be. Not great , but good enough to win this game. These are marginal playoff teams.
  16. That’ll be for the AFC title game / Super Bowl. Afternoon playoff games in OP are just fine.
  17. I don’t think the NFL will put the Bills right back on MNF. Just a hunch
  18. Sooner than later. Perhaps the next few days .. they won’t leave this unresolved for long now that the Chiefs have won. The KC win greatly increased the chances for a neutral site AFCC game.
  19. Indy turned it down. They have some other event in town that weekend I won’t worry about the location at all: the Bills will be there and so will I. Just pointing out that location won’t favor KC so I’d be surprised if it was chosen. I would hate this. Not an inexpensive flight from BUF or a convenient one. ATL would be much better than that.
  20. Wow, I’d be shocked if true. Too close to Buffalo, too far from KC. It will be tons of Bills fans depending on how tickets are distributed
  21. Yes there were lots of Bills fans there. The Jags fans were just the trashiest humans after the game though, even the ladies. Just MF’ing the Bills fans and flipping us the bird totally unprovoked. Gutter level sewer- mouthed scum.
  22. The NFL created a problem with their stupid expansion of the playoffs : only one team earns a bye and that is just too big an advantage to be fair. Two byes was a just reward to the top teams. A neutral site championship game could remedy that. If it’s being considered they know it’s a problem. Also , one of the leagues best young QBs is in Buffalo. The NFL is probably concerned about an AFC title game in Buffalo with 35 mph winds and no passing offense.
  23. Yeah, I’d agree. Went to the Bills game there last year and it was pretty much a pit. The fans were awful and the stadium is a total dump.
