  1. Got it. Yes the extra game makes it a tougher task for sure.
  2. More likely, yes but I’m not sure how much more. If it was BUFvs KC I’d give the home team maybe a 5% edge or so. Close to a pick em. The QBs are just that good. Either is quite capable of walking out of the opposing stadium with a win. I’d feel more confident about a win vs the Chiefs in Orchard Park vs Arrowhead but I can’t say I’d be a LOT more confident. Good read on the situation and I’d have to agree this seems likely.
  3. Bills can still be AFC Champion regardless of Bills/ Bengals being resumed or not
  4. I’d go with 25% or so but still, point taken. That was a different looking Raiders team than we’ve seen in some time.
  5. Less likely , but still possible. I’d love to see it.
  6. Coaching a SuperBowl favorite will likely take him out of consideration. I would vote for Bryan Daboll- that turnaround has been pretty incredible with not a ton of talent.
  7. Home field is huge in the playoffs- yes a home 2nd round game is worth playing for. I was merely pointing out that the statement about the Bills having to go to KC was incorrect- they could be knocked out of it
  8. Disagree, KC could get knocked out by another team. Could still host AFC title game. 2 definitely better than 3. Bills can defeat Pats even if they’re not on their A game - no guarantee you can win any single game but home better than road.
  9. No. The 2 seed is relevant as the Bills would be guaranteed 2 home playoff games and the potential of hosting AFCC remains a realistic possibility.
  10. Bengals players reportedly did not want to continue playing game either. The league CAN do whatever they decide in this scenario and Troy Vincent already stated that the solution won’t be perfect and there might not be equity.
  11. Well the proposal floated ( or at least being considered by the NFL) involved resuming the game. So If KC wins Saturday - Bills can play to win both games vs NE, CIN with a chance to be # 1 or fall to 3 with no rest. OR rest starters both games and go in as #3 if KC loses - can play to win Vs NE and secure #2 overall seed with a chance at #1 week 19 So if I’m correct here I think I’d opt for the guaranteed rest and go in as 3 IF the Chiefs win vs LAR on Saturday
  12. What ? The week 19 vs CIN is not a lose and season over game. The Bills are in the playoffs and week 19 is AFC playoff bye. Bills vs Bengals is for seeding.
  13. Playing this week then next Vs CIN could leave us in an injury riddled situation heading into a certain playoff game the next week. Resting vs NE and CIN gives the Bills essentially a bye and a guaranteed home game plus possibly 2 road playoff games. There are 3 potential outcomes. One is very bad - 3 seed with no rest of any kind. Which would you choose? I’d take the guaranteed down time.
  14. Likewise. This scenario seems the worst all the way around for Buffalo, so it’s probably what the league will choose. I thought they wouldn’t resume the game but now I’m leaning the other way.
  15. Or a shot at limping into the playoffs. If that’s the NFLs solution I’m taking the next two weeks off if I’m the Bills. At least they’ll know if the Chiefs lost on Saturday. If KC wins I’d rest up as the 3
  16. The league cares and tries to avoid it with times etc They might not care in this case though by making Bills / Bengals after week 18. The Bills will have to play NE game like it matters to them
  17. Sure would , and the NFL wouldn’t like it because they’d have a game that is a farce mixed in with NFC playoffs. I’m not sure how the Bills would think about that scenario but my guess is they’d take the guaranteed rest.
  18. Yep. If that’s the idea and I’m the Bills , I’m resting for 2 weeks barring a KC loss to the Raiders.
  19. True but no scenario will be perfect. I just don’t think playing that game alone in its own week is going to be chosen as the solution.
  20. Agreed, that does happen. The league tries to maintain competitive balance by schedule kickoffs at the same time etc but this isn’t going to be perfect to all involved .
  21. Good point.. if that’s the case then the Bills could rest players, which may give the Pats an easy in. That probably = lack of equity for some team. In that sense NE has “ earned” the scenario they’re in.
  22. Yes, still have to win to maintain it. Agree , hence Vincent’s statement about it not being perfect.. just reading the tea leaves here but we shall see…
  23. A complete knucklehead…
  24. Bills not being penalized imo if they are awarded the #2 seed. It’s not a perfect solution, but I believe it would be the best one. Agree, but the equity thing would be the lack of ability to control it on their own. Could still happen of course.
  25. I think he means Bills don’t get chance to reclaim #1 seed, CIN doesn’t get chance to move up to #2 seed, BAL is affected , possibly some other teams I’m not aware of the exact scenarios. That’s my take on it , that it won’t be perfect but the playoffs will take place on schedule. Anything else compounds the whole situation and impacts everything that follows it. I don’t believe the NFL will want that.
