  1. It would be okay if that’s what the TEAM wanted - which may very well be the case. McD would obviously have a good read on this by talking to his players. Perhaps they would decide otherwise and that would be fine too.. if that’s what they wanted to do
  2. In such a scenario the Bills could decide to ( not “ have to” ) forfeit the game and that would be fine.
  3. Yes .. 2 seed guaranteed 2 home games and cannot meet #1 until Championship game . Fairly big difference
  4. It’s not that far. I get that the Bills wanted to return home and probably couldn’t find that many hotel rooms on such short notice
  5. Not completing the entire season = not a fair chance. If the Bills choose to not complete it through forfeit that is fair. Both teams did not want to continue last night and that is fair too. See where this is going? Any other solution will likely not be completely fair to all involved and that makes it difficult.
  6. Thank goodness their kind doesn’t play for the Bills
  7. Still football remaining to be played that would determine the outcome. Nitpicking individual plays from past games is a fools errand.
  8. You simply cannot underestimate Josh Allen
  9. Especially with the game still in the first quarter. A lot of football to be played to reach any conclusion
  10. In fairness the two are not mutually exclusive. This is the playoff solutions thread as well, not the Hamlin injury thread. It won’t be up to us fans what the decision will be , whether that is playing the game using some other method to determine a winner, or an outright forfeit by the Bills. I’d guess all are on the table right now and the NFL has to try to balance fairness with respect.
  11. Most unpalatable thing about such a scenario is that Chiefs lost head to head to both teams involved … otherwise that’s the solution. It may still be, but perhaps a different decision will be reached.
  12. I’d imagine the game resumes where it was when stopped.
  13. A coin flip is in the NFL rule book as the last tiebreaker. Hasn’t it been used to determine draft order at least once? Anyway , the time constraints and fact that this game isn’t being played in the next two days make it an option.
  14. Fortunately it’s also extremely rare on a football field. As mentioned on WGR probably one of the best places to be if it’s going to happen because of the medical staff access- there or a hospital. A terrible thing that no one wants to see occur and it almost never does.
  15. No. There were no updates made available by UC Hospital . WGR signed off on Bills coverage and went to a nationally syndicated sports talk show
  16. WGR says Carruci reporting that the Commissioner will decide on making up the game .. it would have to be done in next two days. ( not happening imo ) There’s also a possibility of adding a 19th week. We’ll see
  17. I think he means BUF/ CIN Wed, BUF / NE Mon
  18. Without some good word on Hamlin before then, I don’t believe this will happen. I could be wrong for sure but that’s how I see it.
  19. Right, but that may not happen under these circumstances. We will see what is decided but this won’t be neat and tidy. Very tough call.
  20. I understand your reasoning but it’s not correct . go to NFL.com- they are listed as 2. That’s official per the league
  21. Exactly … this guy is a total chump and a troll really. “ any given Sunday” is a mantra for inferior teams. This is / was a close matchup as the line indicated. The Bills often give up an early score then clamp down. They don’t give up a lot of points overall and are among the leagues best in that category.
  22. They’re #2 seed now though, not 1
  23. I understand your thought, but the game is not life.. This is unprecedented as far as I know and the NFL has a delicate situation to handle here. They have to be practical and rational but respect the emotions involved at the same time. I don’t envy those who have to make the decision
  24. The issue seems trivial at the moment, but since we’re in this thread … I’d argue that they shouldn’t. As others have pointed out, the Chiefs lost to both teams involved here. Who knows what will actually happen and I wouldn’t be shocked. It would be another “ just give it to ‘em”
