That was a stupid narrative put out there by some simpleton Bengals player(s) like Joe Mixon. The Bengals sold AFC Championship tickets weeks ago , as did the Chiefs, Bills and probably any team that could host. That’s how the league does it.
No indication at all that the Bills were looking past the game. That’s media driven bs. The Bills were certainly outcoached, outschemed and outplayed today though.
Yep, injuries are a losers lament. It’s on the coaches to work with what they have and make it work. The Bills failed at this in a huge way today. This was by far the worst performance the Bills had all year . Awful when a team that was such a favorite to start the year doesn’t even show up for a home playoff game.
What we’ve seen all year long .. lol . 14 wins and 3 losses by a combined 8 points. If you’re a Bills fan do you recall the drought ? It’s not like you can just pencil in home divisional round playoff games each year and the team is already in year 5 of Josh Allen. Better enjoy championship level football while it’s here. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile , you could miss it !
Nothing fitting about it. The Bills already beat the Chiefs this season. Jacksonville just played too poorly to take advantage of a great opportunity that a better team certain would have.
Bills scored 34 and easily could have been in the 40’s. Miami wasn’t exactly effective. They had some short fields that made the game closer than it should have been. Not really a defensive strategy you would look to emulate.
There was a thread for playoff tix when they went on sale. It’s just how things work, they don’t wait to sell ‘em until they know if the game is necessary or not.
Under the old rules it was not allowed. Coaches complained it was costing them opportunities to move up. A new HC needs to assemble a staff. That’s a lot harder to do the longer a candidates team remains in the playoffs. Good assistants get hired by other new HC’s. The rule was changed as coaches were being punished for their team’s success.
