  1. I’ll agree with this. I don’t believe the same could be said if he claimed to be catholic. Anyway, it’s complicated. I voted for Trump ( and almost certainly will again) , but I’d vote for an atheist before I’d vote for a Christian , Catholic or a Democrat. Not exclusively for that reason, though.
  2. Chiefs vs Saints
  3. And that’s the problem with letting everyone in so easily. They have a sense of entitlement, and don’t want to assimilate. If it continues unabated , pretty soon you don’t have a country anymore. This is something that should concern all native born Americans, not just Trump supporters. It’s a real threat, as today’s immigrants are not the same as our great grandparents were.
  4. It’s a good question. I believe secondary market resale has been very low for 2 years now. Many season ticket buyers were subsiding their own season tickets by purchasing extras and reselling them. Perhaps this is finally impacting the box office. I’ve always questioned if the blackout had much effect , and I still don’t believe it did. Going to a game is just a different experience from watching on TV. Bills fans like to consider themselves among the most rabid fan bases in the league, but the skimpy sales suggest otherwise. Especially with the average ticket price near the bottom of the league. Perhaps complacency has set in under the Pegulas ownership, with the franchise seemingly secure for the foreseeable future. Who knows ? it’s worth pondering.
  5. These are retransmission agreements with local affiliates, similar to what a cable company would have with them. The worst case scenario IF no agreement is reached ( unlikely imo) is that you would need a Leaf ( or similar) antenna to receive those channels. However, it will not affect your Sunday Ticket package as those are out of market games only. Not a big deal and just a lot of posturing by local affiliates to squeeze the best deal out of DirecTV.
  6. I’ll agree with this. While these guys have internal motivation, I believe they constantly seek out external sources as well. It’s the way they stay on top.
  7. I wouldn’t , as it is a league network and that type of coverage is always available locally.
  8. I actually like the show and it’s hosts for the most part. My tolerance level for Pats coverage is low, so it colors my overall impressions. Most times, I switch the channel and come back to it. I don’t expect a ton of Bills related discussion, but they do put more out there than say NFL live on ESPN. Yes, and a LOT is an understatement. Regardless of their success ( and the fact that most football fans despise them outside of Boston) it is the NFL network. There are 31 other teams in the league and their focus on that one team is obsessive. Besides, their collective opinion is always something like “ event or injury X doesn’t matter, because we’ll its the Patriots” and the HC ( and by extension the players) are notoriously boring and mundane in interviews. So what’s to discuss ?
  9. I disagree. Yeah the GMFB crew gives the occasional shoutout to Bills mafia and whatever, but they’re just throwing a bone to the faithful. They quickly move on. Their obsession with the Patriots et al is undeniable to anyone watching for more than about 15 minutes.
  10. Again, the list is silly NFLN hype. I’d say most are aware it’s a player vote, ( so is the pro bowl, in part) but that often becomes a popularity contest. Players vote for their friends, those in contract years etc. The Bills are an afterthought on that network, and around the league in many ways. Bottom line, the list doesn’t mean much.
  11. Just silly NFLN hype. The Bills are afterthought in every aspect with their coverage. Doesn’t mean a thing.
  12. I think the Bills believe they know what they have in Nsekhe, as he has a lot of experience. They might want to get a good look at what Ford can do, especially early on. While Nsekhe has obvious value as a backup/ swing player , I wouldn’t close the book on him emerging as one of the starting 5 OL at all.
  13. Showing up in that Oscar Meyer “ weinermobile” would have been more appropriate for that guy.
  14. Iirc, he had a few disagreements with some high profile posters at the time and it escalated from there. Not sure of the specifics
  15. What nonsense. Where did I state that Clinton did not get more votes ? Massive Russian interference ? How many Russians voted in the election ? How many votes were changed by Russians? Oh that’s right, zero. Face it , the election was a referendum on Clinton and caused by disdain for her and the lefts policies.
  16. So pretty much Hillary slayed it in California, not so much anywhere else. That fact speaks volumes, yet the libs go on with their drivel about the electoral college.... And that’s exactly what the Dems want. Lawlessness and violence.. neuter the Cops and let the crims out of jail , do away with bail, while you’re at it. “ restorative justice “ scary stuff. Just awful...
  17. I don’t care if he never wins father of the year. As long as he doesn’t win any more playoff games or Superbowls.
  18. Likewise. The greater point of my analysis was not to discredit, but rather to state that the matchup between the NYG offense and the Bills defense had a much greater impact on the outcome of the game. Far more than the much ballyhooed B.B. led defense vs the Bills offense. In fact, the Bills offense produced exactly the same amount of points that it did in their victory over the Giants in NY several weeks prior. The defense, however was a different story. It was telling that Parcells stated “ power football wins” and cited the soft middle of the Bills D line when exalting in the win immediately after the game.
  19. That would include NYG and Belichick fans.
  20. Hmmm. The Trump thing is one of the few I actually like about Brady.
  21. Children are expensive. There’s probably a lot of folks for whom children are a fiscally irresponsible proposition. They have them anyway. Of course , the liberal view will be that they need / deserve help from the tax dollars of others.
  22. Hey, I can’t make the question any better than it is.
  23. Years of media driven conditioning to believe in the mystical powers of Belichick, rather than just believing what your eyes see. It’s overridden common sense at this point. The closest parallel in the modern passing era is the 49ers. Their success continued under a lesser HC due to the QB and an incredibly good immediate replacement. That Brady has done it without anything close to a Jerry Rice at WR is even more astounding. He’s the most consistent performer I’ve ever seen at QB. His few bad outings are the only time they lose. Other than that it takes a truly superior performance by the opposing QB , such as Foles in the SB vs Eagles. .
  24. I don’t know if Merriman is to blame, but I think he’s had a checkered past. Knowledge is power, and while we should have that expectation it al depends on who else is at that party. Obviously the perp is far more to blame than the victim in any case.
  25. He can, but the odds are probably against it.
