  1. The Bills wanted Marvin Harrison in that draft, but weren’t in position to get him. However, I do think Moulds could have ended up a HOFer if he had been with the Colts and Peyton Manning his whole career. He got all of one season with a declining Kelly at QB and didn’t play much. Moulds was the last great WR the Bills had. I hope they can land the next one soon.
  2. But whatever he “ did” does not disqualify him for the office. I do not share your opinion that this “ sustained and widespread effort” made any significant difference. Just what difference did it make, then? Did it mobilize voters that supported Trump? Russians didn’t cast any votes. I doubt they changed anyone’s mind. A few memes on Facebook doesn’t change anyone’s mind. Well, perhaps a few feeble ones. Candidates state their positions and voters vote based on that. You seem to think winning an election happens through manipulation, sorcery and magic. I don’t.
  3. Russia has been involved in attempting to influence elections and political opinion before. No crime was committed by Trump or his campaign. It didn’t rise to that level. Oh well. I simply don’t believe that Russia had any effect here, and you do. Fine. The demographics needed to win certain states is information widely available. Trump clearly understood the electoral college and where he needed to win to take the election. It’s no secret, everyone knows that that are just a few key swing states that decide the election as all the others are firmly entrenched. No mystery here, if you aren’t too busy to pay attention.
  4. They certainly can do it. Just more expensive, and more expensive to maintain. As an aside, I believe most of the complaints about the field are about footing, slipping on the turf. Maybe it’s a drainage issue? Has the product been updated or improved in any way ? I’m not sure on either of those things.
  5. Okay, now it’s about obstruction of justice. Did that help win the election ? Nope. It was already over. You are the one being silly, as per usual. As I stated, many secrets about the Donald came out . Even in the critical period just before the general election. You are mad that Hillary lost, and are more focused on the fact that some emails were stolen than you are about the content of those emails. No fair! you say. Sorry but the vast majority of Trump voters weren’t converted Hillary supporters. The emails only cemented their choice, it didn’t change anything. Say what you want to about obstruction, but the election was already lost.
  6. Haven’t yet read it. Read the varying “ interpretations” but that’s about it. Your terms , “ playbook, secrets, strategies..” are meaningless jargon. These two candidates could not have been more different from one another. You act as though winning an election is some deep mystery, shrouded in secrecy , to be won in a way that isn’t understood by the common man. Polling is widely available and what is the value of internal polling ? There is so much media coverage preceding an election that very little is truly “ unknown “. Isn’t an election won or lost on “ the issues” ? While I understand the need for passwords, are they the key to winning the Presidency. Personally, I don’t care about Trumps taxes and neither did many others. Many “ secrets” came out about the Donald, and he still won.
  7. When it influences passing on a QB that turns out to be successful, it’s the wrong order. As I pointed out, Allen was forced into service early anyway, and Tyrod Taylor was in place in 2017. That would allow Mahomes to sit for a year in Buffalo as he did in KC. While KCs roster was obviously more talented than Buffalo’s the issue is which QB is more talented ( I e better) ? Since your judgement standard of whether the Bills end up consistenly among the league’s best is most largely influenced by the QB, it seems one and the same.
  8. While Carr’s struggles are well documented, Mahomes wouldn’t have been forced to play in 2017 as the Bills had Tyrod Taylor. That roster made the playoffs at 9-7 fwiw. They were less talented in 2018 for sure, but Allen was pressed into service early on a bad roster, so no difference there. Time will tell, but Mahomes has the edge right now to be certain.
  9. While I stated that Mahomes was a top prospect that year, I did not say he was viewed as a sure thing. To be certain, neither was the player they ended up drafting in Josh Allen. He was probably held in a lower regard than Mahomes was in the 2017 draft, actually. Cap space / situation has nothing to do with drafting a QB, as that player will be cost controlled for up to five years. If you believe in a QB, you go get him when the chance is there. There would have been nothing wrong with taking Mahomes in 2017 and beginning a rebuild. The move was made because the Pegulas hired a HC and GM in the wrong order. If Josh Allen turns out to be as good or better than Mahomes, then it’s a wash. Depicting the trade down as some kind of great strategy only holds up if the players are comparable. If they’re not, what was so great about it?
  10. While Trump may very well be an idiot, he’ll have a few things going for him. The economy ( whomever’s you choose to call it) will probably be the same to slightly improving. The Dems will nominate a radical, far left candidate out of touch with American ideals and with reality in general. This will bolster Trumps support from independents. If 51% of Americans “ approve” of the ACA, it’s likely that most don’t understand how bad and expensive it actually is for what it claims to accomplish.
  11. Ridiculous. Voters didn’t make their choice on the basis of Russia or anything Russia “ did”. The Republicans nominated Donald Trump. That alone might have been enough for the Dems to win if they had a respectable, moderate candidate. Trump could know everything down to what Hillary was having for breakfast that day and he’d still be Trump. This shouldn’t be hard to understand. Just what advantage in winning the election did Trump get from this Russian “ meddling” ?
  12. Nonsense. You truly believe a few Facebook ads/ memes seen by a minimal number of people influenced voters to back Trump? You clearly have a dim view of the voting public’s intelligence. On the other hand, perhaps this is justified..lol. Anyway, this election simply came down to folks not being able to stomach voting for Hillary Clinton. Biased media outlets such as CNN just turned more voters to Trump. Far more than anything Russia did, in my view. Blame your Dems for not putting up a moderate and electable candidate that was capable of fending off the flawed Donald Trump.
  13. I could see this. Jets move down from 3, recoup some of their sacrificed picks from last year, then make a move for Clark with a not so high first rounder.
  14. For 2019 they pay homage to Russ Brandon... “ Go run first all in balls deep...it’s our time”
  15. I did like Mayock on NFLN, but for the most part they are far too focused on the Pats and ex Pats as commentators. Mostly can’t stand the analysts / personalities on NFLN.I prefer ESPN and their analysts. Rich Eisen is good, but he’s former ESPN as well.
  16. Very good player, great character guy and absolutely seems like a process- type presence that McD covets. However, I don’t see much evidence that the Bills have shown interest with visits whether private or combine meetings etc. pretty much off their radar screen as far as I can tell. 9th overall is probably too high, but he will be gone by their second round selection.
  17. Inter-division trade for the 3rd pick ? The Jets may trade down, but in won’t be with the Bills or any other AFCE team.
  18. Hmmm pretty certain this will not happen, even if White was till on the board.
  19. You can measure many things, but you still cannot measure the heart of a player. In some way, it always comes back to that.
  20. This topic is well worn on this forum, but Mahomes most certainly was a top QB prospect that year. While it’s true that he wouldn’t likely have been the MVP if on the Bills , he’s still a great player. Mahomes is probably better than the player the Bills ended up with at QB. Trying to paint the trade down as a smart play is an overly rosy scenario clouded by Bills-colored lenses. The move was made because the Bills had a lame duck GM in place for that draft who should have already been fired. The Pegulas waited, and hired a HC before they had a new GM. McD thought it best to skip taking a QB ,so the new GM would have a say in the pick. While that makes sense, the whole scenario was created by Pegulas unwillingness to make a move in a timely fashion. It may work out, but Mahomes would still be an excellent player if he was in Buffalo.
  21. Exactly. 12 wins is uncommon, and really the domain of the league’s elite. Can the Bills make the playoffs as currently constructed ? Sure, but there is a signicant leap from “ playoff team” to 12 win division champion. When the Bills have a proven superior QB, a proven stud WR and top OL to go with a strong defense 12 wins could be realistic. Right now, it’s a long shot.
  22. I think the Thanksgiving game is just a cyclical thing where their “ number was up”. Last appearance was ‘94 and then mid 70’s OJ era before that. It just shows that the NFLschedule makers ( and possibly the networks) hold the Bills in extremely low regard as a national TV draw. They are a pariah right now. Only winning and or an actual star QB will change this.
  23. It sure is. I believe even the Kelly led Bills reached 12 wins only 3 or 4 times in his 11 seasons at QB.
  24. What did NE score in the SB. 13 points? The Rams D was fine, their QB was exposed by CHI and PHL. Use the Rams or CHI as a standard on defensive drafting, not the Pats. Goff makes 3 decent throws and the Rams are champs. Heck, a healthy Gurley may have done it.
  25. What a choad...glad this idiot is gone.
