  1. It is those mistakes that are cause for concern. While blowouts are not the norm, good teams don’t make a lot of mistakes. Making less mistakes is a marker of a good team, as the talent level between most teams isn’t that different. The Bills need turnover free football and practically error free execution to stay with NE for 4 quarters.
  2. This game will be a measuring stick of sorts, and even though I expect a loss I think the Bills can give them a game. I don’t think they can win at their current level of performance, but they could manage to limit Brady if they play it right defensively. You need middle pressure on Brady to do that. Offensively, I don’t think the Bills are far enough along to move the ball effectively. While I believe Daboll can scheme some things up, the Bills execution has been too sloppy to succeed vs NE. However, if the Bills manage to stay competitive in this game it may bode well for the rest of the season.
  3. And yet 3 games that didn’t look so tough were pretty close late , where a play or two here and there could have lead to different outcomes. Can’t assume anything in the NFL. I’m not predicting it, but 7-10 wins IS realistic for this team.
  4. Geez, Jones throws for over 300. What freaking gives with the Bills and this stat ? I know the QB issues, but come on it’s ridiculous.
  5. Yep, the issues on O right now look like communication issues on the OL ( missed pickups on stunts etc) , decent ( not great ) WRs , RB injury and turnovers. Allen’s INT was a product of him forcing the throw while not wanting to get called for grounding again ( earlier throwaway didn’t get to the LOS) and started with the bad protection. He’s unwilling to take a sack at times, but needs to learn to “ live to fight another down” . The Bills TO differential probably isn’t good right now and needs to improve.
  6. Thats IF Singletary stays healthy. He hasn’t , so it’s a problem. Can’t rush a hammy
  7. The Frazier D is predicated on “ keeping everything in front of you”. That gets harder to do near the goal line , and they don’t have any elite pass rushers coming off the edge to wreck plays. It’s an issue for sure.
  8. Damn, it’s crazy how good Tony Romo is at telling us what’s about to happen. Literally called the SEA play on 4th and 1 , saying the Wilson had to shift a player over to run the keeper they wanted to, otherwise his only option was a go route...snap, and Wilson throws the go...Romo is freakin uncanny
  9. Yep. They must’ve been concerned about McCoy handling a reduced role. They didn’t need the cap space.
  10. Their strategy was to lean on Singletary and Gore with contrasting styles. No Singletary hurt, as Yeldon has issues with fumbling. That was a major limitation. They used those other players because the Bengals have issues on the edges, but Gore isn’t the best guy to get on the edge.
  11. That’s a fair point and will likely be helpful. However, I’m still not sure what this team is capable of and what it isn’t. I’ll take the wins to be sure, but there are problems. We’ll see if they can overcome them.
  12. I disagree. It’s a possibility, as we’ve seen in past years. We don’t know what this team can do against a team that actually has a winning record yet. They have quite a few weaknesses right now. It’s the NFL, so you’re nuts if you think it’s not a possibility. So many things can happen between now and week 17.
  13. Well, it hasn’t been playcalling imo. They’ve simply had poor execution and definitely issues with pass protection. Bottom line, this team isn’t a finished product. They truly don’t have a consistent , reliable running game to lean on and the passing game needs another weapon. Allen has been trying to force things in each game thus far, and it has cost them with turnovers and stalled drives. This looks like a team that could win 7 games or could in ten if things fall their way. They still have a lotto work on. Lost in all this is that special teams still seems shaky as well.
  14. So , who will be the first choad to start a Kaeperdouche to the Colts thread?
  15. I have Cam Phillips, Ray Ray McCloud and Zay Jones getting visits from the Turk.
  16. While those things do happen from time to time, I don’t believe Lawson or Jones fall into that category. They were simply overdrafted for their talent level. I’d agree it would take a draft pick for the Bills to do a trade ( short of Dawkins) , I don’t think Jones or Lawson have any trade value.
  17. Sure. HOU very interested in Bills disappointing draft picks, especially in return for Clowney. I mean, why wouldn’t they ? This makes too much sense not to happen.
  18. ^This....always wonder why marginal players on this roster have any trade value. End thread.....
  19. Offensive holding is a joke in the NFL the way it’s called for some teams and not others. Brad Allen and crew sure make a game boring. I’ll have to remember to place a bet on the opponent if I see the Bills draw Allen and crew in a given week. Can add him to John Parry for title of NFLs worst.
  20. Ryan Allen should be signed, and fast. Still too many penalties. Holding on a fair catch ? Wtf
  21. The offense looks sloppy, and / consistency continuity will be an issue early. Could definitely improve if they can stay healthy.
  22. Today just shows you can’t get too high or too lo based off of preseason games. I still have no idea how this team will do when the regular season is upon us in just a couple of weeks. One can project that the offense will be better than last year, but still below average overall. The defense may be in the upper third or so in some categories but not so strong in others. I’d probably take the over on the Vegas line of 6.5 wins, but not by a lot. A serious injury at a key spot could put this team at 6 wins or fewer. Talent wise, I’d bet they end up around 8-8.
  23. This thread title should read something like “ McDermott most likely to be fired ?”.... Could be considered misleading to be fair.
  24. Oh, I despise criminals and especially the sex offenders. But again, libs love trial lawyers etc. Your selective outrage is showing ...
