  1. Which has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Smith took valuable first team reps away from Mahomes in his rookie year too by your logic.
  2. By how the guys you draft perform. Try to follow along.
  3. You see how your guys did. I can nitpick every team’s drafts and make a case they did terribly because they took one guy over another. And comparing a first round pick to a fifth with Mahomes vs. Peterman is absurd. They didn’t draft Peterman to be a franchise guy.
  4. Your rantings do not negate the intent of the thread, that the 2017 draft was pretty good.
  5. Ok. Mahomes has a great year. Have it your way. It’s one year. One non championship year. And don’t give me the crap about bad calls to prop him up. Good for him. But there is is not one single individual on this board before the draft who knew he’d be that good last year. You say you did you’d be lying.
  6. One of the worst trades ever. Because one guy had one really good year? Andvthe other team got a great CB and position to draft another promising young QB? Right. Let the adults talk here sonny and quit overreacting.
  7. If it was obvious, you would not have said what you said. I wanted Watson, I think Allen will be as good as him, and anyone saying they knew before the draft that Mahomes would do what he did last year is lying.
  8. I evaluate drafts on how good the guys that were picked played, not by whom you could have drafted. Every team in the league would be lousy drafters then because every team misses out on guys that turn into stars.
  9. For the fans living in WNY that want to get rid of Schopp (and I can’t blame you, I’ve listened a couple times on line and he’s unbearable), find out who his biggest advertisers are, and don’t patronize them. And make sure they know why.
  10. Maddy, welcome to the Bills and Sabres. I wish you every success in your job, and look forward to your reports. And as the father of two daughters, I am sure you ignore some of the sexist crap posted here because you've heard it before as have my daughters, but my apologies for the Neanderthals who post that kind of nonsense. Now, as for the important stuff: Ted's (hot sauce and onions), Bocce's (pepperoni with extra cheese), Beef on Weck (you'll hear several names, try them all!!), and Wings (again you'll hear various opinions, try them all but I'm a Duff's guy myself).
  11. I wanted Watson, said so at the time. I think Allen will be as good. And anyone who says that Mahomes, a guy coming out of the single read offense at Tech, a place that had never produced an NFL level consistent starter, a guy who had a lot of questions about footwork, would have had the kind of year he had last year is lying.
  12. Why don’t you finally just have the stones to admit you want the Bills to lose so you can crow about it on a message board? Some of his predictions are puzzling (like the Jets; Gase is a good HC??) but all meaningless. No reason to get worked up about it.
  13. The big question in Browns land is whether a guy who has never been a HC on any level can deal with the personalities on the team.
  14. I practically lived at Brighton when I was a kid. Junior club champion, 1972. And I taught the kids summer program for the Rec Department for several years back in the 70's
  15. Grew up in the Town of Tonawanda, but now live in Carmel IN just north of Indy. Not many Bills fans around here but we're vocal!
  16. I think “better” and “preseason game” is an oxymoron
  17. They're both the best ever at their jobs. If you held a gun to my head and had to make me pick I'd say Belichick, since entire teams win championships and not just QBs.
  18. The D line will be integral to be sure. One of the things I like about McD is that his guys on D know how to tackle. The DBs especially use good technique. As much as Gilmore has thrived in pass coverage, when he was a Bill I got tired of watching him just throw a shoulder at a guy and not even try to bring him down.
  19. You may want to consider the concept of tackling. Where the defender does things like wrap his arms around the runner to bring him down, especially around the legs.
  20. Favre is who I thought of
  21. If you have one great #1 and a bunch of bums at #2-5 then teams will simply double team and do what they have to do to take your elite guy out of the equation. Belichick is great at this. But if you have say several good WRs then it might be better overall because teams can't focus on taking out one player.
  22. I said above it is a nuanced thing. Accuracy is how close you are to a target, precision is how well you can consistently hit a given spot. The dartboard analogy. They can overlap if you narrow down what your definition of accuracy is to a very small area. I think it was the pff guys that did the analysis and basically defined accuracy as hitting a guy in the numbers. That's a very small window, and at that point being accurate and precise are pretty much the same. I would say having it within the catch radius is accurate, and having the QB hit a spot exactly where he wants it each time (or ball placement as I mentioned above) is being both accurate and precise. Which, to me, is what the greats can do.
