The improvement of this roster is incredible.

I'm not sure if you watched the game last night, it would seem you didn't, because Feliciano started at C with the first team. It would seem he is Morse's backup, plus Long can play C. Bodine will be playing elsewhere I suspect. -

"I want JA to make every throw as perfect as possible" Your words, not mine. -

Like other Qbs are perfect. If that is your expectation then the Bills have never had nor will ever have a QB that meets your expectations, nor will any other team in the league. -

Bull crap. Plain and simple. Several folks here broke down every single pass he threw last year and showed you're wrong. Your problem is you do not understand what the term accuracy means. I have said repeatedly around here that he needs to be more precise with his placement, and some get on me for that. But this asinine argument about one throw last night shows my point. When you hit a guy right in the hands, right in the hands, that is very accurate. But if you want to talk about, maybe, moving the ball about six inches one way or the other, then you are talking about precision. And he was both highly accurate and precise with that throw, he put it right where he needed to put it, so the safety coming up couldn't get to it. Allen needs to be more consistent, I've said that all through the off season, and a lot of that will be him taking the short pass, having more time in the pocket, and so on. All of which we saw last night. If this is going to be what we have to put up with this year, nitpicking every single throw by the guy, ignoring when he makes a good throw and just making up issues with other good throws, it's going to be a long season around here. -

How many times do people have to be told the completion percentage has nothing to do with accuracy? -

If people are going to nitpick Allen on the throw to Jones on the 2 yard line, then you might as well just say there will never be a successful QB in Buffalo in the eyes of such fans. If hitting a guy right in the hands doesn't suffice for some there's really not much to say. And spare me the he should have led him more on that throw; if he had the safety that was closing would have either knocked the ball out or knocked Jones out. Allen missed a throw or two, no question. That throw wasn't one of them I saw him going through progressions more than he did last year, going to his outlet in Beasley (who will be very busy this year it seems), throwing it away (the ball to the TE was put where only he could catch up to it, and if not then a good throw away). Things you want to see a young QB start to get. I think it's mental. The guy set an NCAA pass receiving record; it's not like he can't catch a football. But he fights it. I thought he'd catch the first TD pass of te year; I'm not so sure he makes the roster if guys like Phillips keep playing well. -

It was not behind him. It was right on him. What game were you watching? -

They are not a wash. You can’t be critical of one throw and then ignore him hitting Jones right in the hands in between two defenders. The only way that logic works is if you’re trying to pick out only negatives. The TE throw has been discussed by others and I’ll have to look back to see what you’re talking about with Brown. -

The one inaccurate pass he threw was the low ball to Jones, and he said he wanted to bring it in lo w so the defender couldn't come over the top to knock it down. Basing your disappointment on an N of 1 doesn't cut it. -

I beg to differ. They have a very good O line. They didn't use their starting LT last night, but the Bills D dominated their interior line. -
[Name Only Title] Feliciano and Ford

You can tell when a team is getting better when you cut guys that wind up going to other teams and starting. I suspect that happens with a couple of the O line guys this year. -
Try to do a limerick to summarize: An Argentine gaucho named Bruno Wait, that’s something else. Defense was very solid. O line - guys that started last year will get cut this year, and we’ll be OK at center even if Morse is our. Allen was OK, missed a couple throws but made good reads and Beasley is going to be very busy this season.

I wouldn’t say we were arguing. He used a 1932 study of IQ in Scotland to back up his point which was kind of silly. More modern research suggests men as a group may be higher at the smart and dumb extremes of the curve. The question is why and whether it would have to do with environment and not some inherent difference. I woulda still say that when one states women have to know what they’re getting into sounds misogynistic, but he clarified that a bit. So we were just discussing. Regardless of anything else I think Gase is a jerk for walking out so quick right after his child is born.

I suppose my opinion is affected by having a wife who is at the top of her profession, as well as two daughters, one of whom graduated magna ***** laude from college and one of whom is getting free ride offers from several collages because of her grades and test scores. You are correct in that men need to know what their getting into before marriage. So do women. Couples who succeed in marriage have those discussions up front, and are willing to compromise for the other. And I think a reasonable compromise would be to stick around after your wife has just given birth via C section to one of your children. But that's just me, I guess.
-
Interesting and causes me to think a bit. None of us know of course what the relationship of Gase and his wife is, what discussions they had before they got married, and such. But when it comes to having your wife having just given birth by C section, and you bail to go meet with Peyton Manning, you have to admit that seems unfeeling at the very least. I'd also ask what the hell Peyton was thinking; if he knew the guy was coming from his child 's delivery I think I'd postpone the meeting for a while, right? Regardless, I think Gase is the kind of guy that tops out as a position coach or maybe OC but flames out as a HC.

I went and researched some of this, and what the data seems to show is that, overall, there is no difference in mean IQ scores between sexes.. If one looks at top IQ scores it seems to skew towards men, and if you look at low IQ scores it skews towards men. In other words, there are more really smart and more really dumb men vs. women. Now, whether that has to do with true biologic differences, differences in educational opportunities, or what remains open to question. Why you chose to pull a Scottish study from 1932 when there is data that is more to the point and more up to date suggests you may have a poor understanding of the value of studies. I have been active in research for over 35 years with multiple peer reviewed publications. You may want to whine about understanding research elsewhere. And you may want to reconsider the statement about women needing to know what they're getting into, as that statement first of all has nothing to do with IQ scores and second is pretty much misogynistic.
-
IQ scores in one country -Scotland - in 1932. Part of my job is research and understanding statistics. This kind of data for 2019 is meaningless. To begin with, educational opportunities back then were considerably different. When you can come up with a statistically valid claim to back up what appears to be a misogynistic opinion get back to me.

Don’t quite agree. Agree there are some jobs that might demand a guy be available right after a significant family life event, like a birth. President would be one. But if a Musk or Bezoa is doing his job right they would have others who can take over for a day. And certainly a football coach is not one of those jobs. Gase is a jerk; stay with your wife. And as for women knowing what they’re getting into and claiming that there are less geniuses that are women, you’re sounding misogynistic.

First game in the Rockpile 1960. I was 4 years old so don’t have real sharp memories.

I haven't been back to town in a while, but I try to keep up with the news around town. From what I can tell, there is a resurgence in the downtown area with the expansion of the medical school the other Pegula projects, new bars/restaurants, etc. My assumption has been that the Pegulas are interested in rejuvenating the city. Hence their different projects in the city, building a new arena and such. So my assumption has been that, when they build a new stadium, it would be in the city and not in OP. I can't speak to the traffic situation that would arise, since I haven't been in the area for a while and I'm not sure where they would build. I can however share some parallels I think with what I saw here in Indy and what Is aw when the Rich was first opened in '73. When the Rich was opened, it was a nightmare. I drove my mom and little brother to the first pre-season game; left Sheridan and Sweet Home Road at3:30 for a 7:30 start and sat in our seats right before kickoff. But things got worked out; traffic flow was adjusted to have all but one lane going in to the stadium pre-game and all but one lane out post-game. Folks figured out different routes (like we went Bailey to Abbott instead of the 290/90/219). Here in Indy where the stadium is right downtown folks have figured out different routes, and there are enough parking garages, lots, etc. to fit everyone without much problem. That just would have to be accounted for when designing any new stadium downtown. As for tailgating, again looking at Indy it doesn't appear to be an issue, although tailgating is not the experience of a Bills tailgating crowd. There are designated lots, folks are seen tailgating all around the stadium. And for visiting they have a designated area right next to the stadium. My family parked near it last year when the Bills were in town, walked a bit of the ways with our coolers, and no problem . Partied with tons of other Bills fans and even drank a shot out of a bowling ball! My guess is the new place will be downtown And if it is, I think the worries about traffic, tailgates, and such will be readily answered. Maybe not the first game but if Bills fans are anything they're resourceful. .
