  1. Thanks for the post, loves me some of that whacky ass CFL ball. Go BC!!!
  2. Saw him at Kleinhans a while back. Ridiculously hilarious, my sides hurt the next few days.
  3. I kinda had a lull in keeping up with new seasons, but what I have seen from the last 5-10 years is still on point. The newer seasons are only 10 episodes each, I believe I read they got a little burnt out doing 20+ per season. Was also reading that they stay so fresh and topical because they sometimes go right up to the day of airing with production. That’s awesome and crazy at the same time! Also nuts that SP broke out when I was in college, and now I laugh at it with my college aged nephews!
  4. My favorite Jeff Tuel memory was someone handing him a mechanical pencil to sign an autograph with at a preseason game. He said “Uh. This is a pencil.” Pretty much the highlight of this entire list.
  5. Lawl, this dude is the ‘truck nuts’ of the NFL. What a nib.
  6. I’ve never had outstanding wings at Duffs. Always “meh” to “decent”. Same for Anchor Bar. Gabriel’s Gate is where it’s at. Judi’s Lounge in NF too. Those are my top two in WNY.
  7. Can it really even be debated that the old red-faced logo was offensive? A caricature left over from a time and place where that was acceptable. I’m honestly surprised it made it this long. Even the characters name was a slang term for Natives. I am usually in the “everyone is so easily offended these days” camp, but I do have to agree it is the right thing to do to eliminate this type of imagery from pro sports. Native Americans were the original marginalized group in this country. You can’t go back and change that, but you can learn and correct things moving forward.
  8. The change makes sense, but the name could have been better. That aside, I think they did a decent job w the wordmark and logos.
  9. I’m already thisclose to not caring about pro sports in general. This might just seal it. It’s supposed to be a fun escape, and it’s all just getting so silly. Even pre-covid, it was already trending that way.
  10. Ppl take sports bologna wayyyy to personally. “Giants fan” isn’t a personality type, it’s a recreational hobby.
  11. Nicest guy, Gibran Hamdan. Biggest prick, Thurman Thomas. From my personal encounters.
  12. Empty beer ball and an empty three liter = our gravity bong in the dorms at UB. We used to keep it in a foot-locker & called it the Ark Of The Covenant. Definitely melted some faces w that bad boy.
  13. Stripped down, a beat, a piano line, and some beat-box. Pretty much the definition of old-school.
  14. Yes, but Biz was at the very front of the “golden age” of hip-hop, roughly 1986-93. One of those influential guys that had some pretty damned good albums out way before he hit the pop charts/mainstream with “Just A Friend”. “Vapors” is a great great cut, and “Nobody Beats The Biz” is also fantastic with its Steve Miller sample. Got to see Biz DJ as an opening act for Beastie Boys on their “Hello Nasty” tour in Barrie, ON. A Tribe Called Quest was supposed to open but got stopped at the border. Very fortunate that Biz got the slot, he threw down a fantastic set and rapped some too. It was amazing. RIP to a very unique talent.
