Is it me, or does Klein not seem like surest tackler of the three? He might not have the wheels those guys have, but it seems like he often gets his arms around the guy and brings him to the ground. That being the case, maybe he helps our Run D.

Eagles HC Pederson on the hot seat with job status

Did Jauron win a SB, over the Pats? And no, as we well know QBs don't grow on trees, firing coaches for it is a great way to get in the toilet circle. -
NFL Power Rankings Week 13

I think without Brees the order should be as follows, mine is based on POWER not RECORD. 1. KC 2. Steelers 3. GB 4. TN 5. Buff 6. NO (moves to 3 or 4 with Brees) 7. CLE (Wow, in top 10!) 8. SEA 9. Mia 10. TB -
Is the NFL Better than Ever Today?
foreboding replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand the violent sentiment of the ole' gridiron, I am 52 and remember it well. But the game is far more fun to watch when the star QBs can play. I once bemoaned the changes to defensive rules. Now, as the OP is suggesting, I think the game is faster, they score more points and the guys do not get as grossly injured. With their size and speed today, were it combined with yesterdays rules, we would see people dying out there, not interested in that. It is good that Brady and Brees can still get out there. Just not in the AFCE I think the game is actually better now, while there are wayyy less TO's without the crushing hits, the game is more precise, replay has helped as well. -
Eagles HC Pederson on the hot seat with job status

Yep. Pederson wouldn't last a day on the job market, Lurie has to know that. I think the GM is as good as gone. Pederson won them a SB in 2017 and that afterglow hasn't completely faded. -
Seems like Leslie and Sean realized we do not have the DLine to sit back and apply four man fronts effectively. We are blitzing a lot now and from several angles. Much more aggressive... and while the propensity to give up some big plays is likely as a result, it seems we are seeing a much more effective defense. I suspect the TO's and sacks will continue to sharply climb and we will end up top 5 in both, cause we know there are playmakers in that secondary.

Eagles HC Pederson on the hot seat with job status

They won't fire him, if they do he's probably a HC somewhere else, this year. I think they have a talent problem (maybe QB) and he is not the GM and it wasn't that long ago he was toast of the league. -

Impact of Bad Coaching on Good Talent

What is the obsession with Harbaugh? He is a tyrant and he ruined the niners after a brief run of success and now sucks at Michigan. Might as well get Chip Kelly. Same sad resume. More likely to lose Daboll to them. I think he is as good as gone. If you have a young 6'6" QB, who better than Brian Daboll? Sad but true. -
Can't figure out Devin Singletary.

Can either of them become Austin Ekeler? Cause that is what this offense could use. AKA: Thurman Thomas. -

Hahaha, perfect response. If you don't get it, you don't get it. -
No chance, I think we like our young guys. As someone else said, trust comes with reps, Stills cannot get that at this point in our complex offense.

Well, clearly Mahomes it worth any number of number one overall picks it takes to get him. Thank God we got a damn fine QB as well, and I think it entirely possible Josh and Mahomes will be the #1 and #2 QBs in this league for years to come.

I remember he and Romo talking about how critical it was that Josh move his torso properly as well. The torso needs to follow the head, even when he cannot step into his throws or get the feet in the right spot, the head and torso are now connected and it makes every single throw better. Also, you guys mentioned flicking the ball. To me Aaron Rogers is the prototype for that. Seems like at least half his throws are those tight little flicks and he ends up with his hand pointing toward the target, like playing darts. Josh has certainly developed that throw.

Me as well, his will and physical strength always give him a chance, you aren't getting a fluky arm sack on Josh Allen to end a game. -
