  1. Mike Quick developed patellar tendinitis, leading to reduced playing time & his retirement. And now you know the rest of the story.
  2. Holding grudges, chasing perceived slights on twitter, general crazinesss... is Antonio Brown laying the groundwork for his presidential campaign?
  3. ASJ offers nothing in the run after catch department, so it's only an 8 yard threat. After 9 years of Gronk, I don't believe for a second that the Pats are content to sign ASJ and call it a day.
  4. By now you know the name Deebo Samuel, but do you know where it came from? Turns out, “Deebo” isn’t the real name of South Carolina’s Heisman contender; his actual name is Tyshun. He earned the nickname “Deebo” from the neighborhood bully in the popular movie Friday because he too was the neighborhood bully growing up. Samuel’s father said in an interview, “As a kid I always took him over to people’s houses, and he always took stuff from people. Everywhere I go, I had to argue with somebody’s parent about him taking stuff from somebody’s kid. Pushing kids down. Being Deebo. Just being a bully.” https://kentuckysportsradio.com/football-2/deebo-samuel-earned-his-nickname-from-friday-bully/
  5. The Bills better sign somebody before the draft, lest they find themselves backed into a corner & forced to go BPA (Best Punter Available).
  6. I'm every bit as concerned about the continuity of our formerly horrid O-line as I was concerned about the continuity of Whaley & Brandon. Not at all.
  7. Great article. I always thought McCarthy was one of the more overrated HCs. Give Rodgers to Jauron or Gailey & you probably would've had similar results. I'm also not much of a LaFleur believer, so it will be interesting (to me) to see how this plays out. This part made me chuckle: "McCarthy loved anointing himself as a quarterback guru. The coach often bragged to players about his time with Joe Montana...in Kansas City." LOL
  8. The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot reports the Texans, Jets, and Eagles have all expressed interest in acquiring Duke Johnson. The Eagles were previously linked to Johnson, along with the Cowboys. It sounds like he has a market; the Browns just have to decide to pull the trigger on a deal. Johnson didn't report for the start of OTAs on Monday and figures to stay away from the Browns until he's dealt. It's matter of when, not if, Johnson gets traded. The Eagles and Texans would both be nice landing spots for Johnson. SOURCE: Cleveland Plain Dealer Apr 1, 2019, 6:48 PM
  9. Haha, that was a close one. Payton had to pay his dues before he got his shot. Not surprising that he'd like to see the new generation do the same.
  10. I understand & wasn't putting your idea down. I just preferred igotBILLStopay's counter to the chorus of "you're an idiot, you're not a Bills fan, stay off our board".
  11. A welcome bit of logic to the thread. At the same time, teams don't typically earn the #1 pick by making all the right decisions.
  12. Ivory is old enough, but he stll has too much tread on his tires. Maybe he'll be back in a couple of years, after he's had a bit more seasoning.
  13. AB for a 3rd & a 5th hardly seems like a fleecing to me, and Brown's contract is very similar to the one Sammy Watkins signed last year. From Spotrac: Sammy Watkins signed a 3 year, $48,000,000 contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, including a $21,000,000 signing bonus, $30,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16,000,000. Antonio Brown signed a 3 year, $50,125,000 contract with the Oakland Raiders, including a $1,000,000 signing bonus, $30,125,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16,708,333. If I was Antonio Brown, I would definitely demand to be paid more than Sammy Watkins.
  14. Nothing against Logan, but I'm tempted to sign up on a Lions board just so I can post ? Championship!!! And if that Lions board was like the old BBMB, I'd have earned myself an infraction.
  15. It does sound pretty ridiculous when you consider it from that angle.
  16. Totally remember Titus Young: The latest evidence comes from Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, who shares a conversation Young had with his high-school coach, E.C. Robinson, on Christmas Day. “He did tell me he thought he was just as good Megatron,” Robinson told Birkett. “I said, ‘Titus, come on.’ I said, ‘Come on, man. Who you talking to?’ I said, ‘Come on, you’re as good as that guy? This guy is the real deal.’ And he really believes this. And he was sincere about it. ‘Ah man, I’m better than him.’ I said, ‘No you’re not. Be real man. Come on.’ So I don’t know, I’m hoping for the best for him.” Has Maurice Clarett been mentioned?
  17. That could've been me! I wonder how much differently my life would've turned out, had I seen a Chiefs helmet instead.
  18. I was a 12 year old, captivated by a red Bills helmet on display at a South Jersey mall kiosk. Me: Wow, which team is that? Friend: The Buffalo Bills Me: That's my favorite team. And so it was.
  19. Your story started out promisingly enough, but I was disappointed when I got to the end & found that the barber/stylist hadn't trimmed your mop into a Flutie-style mullet.
  20. By popular demand, the condensed version: The Bills are headed in the right direction. Having a sure-handed slot WR like Beasley should improve Josh Allen's completion %. With the moves they've made, the Bills are in position to go BPA in the draft. Adding a top WR could make it an elite unit, and taking a DT or DE could put our already solid D over the top. OT & TE could also be solid choices in the first round. It was sad to see Kyle Williams retire, but he was a warrior who gave his all for the team. McDermott is a great leader & Beane seems like a GM with a real vision for team-building. Go Bills!
  21. Maybe Gronk, Kelce, or Ertz would be worth the #9 pick (and none of them were drafted in the 1st, btw). Hockenson is none of those guys.
