  1. No offense, but why on earth would Mills starting @ RT be part of your plan A?
  2. PFF rated Collins as the top FA LB, with the clarification that he's not officially a LB "yet": He was pretty much a safety by name only this past season in New York though, as Collins lined up deep on only 109 of his 804 snaps in 2018, while 549 of them came either in the box or along the line of scrimmage. While it wasn’t quite the same role as your run-of-the-mill three-down linebacker, Collins flashed all the traits necessary to play in the box full-time. Listed at 6-0, 222 pounds, Collins is no stranger to taking on blocks... https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-landon-collins-is-the-best-off-ball-linebacker-entering-free-agency They listed Jordan Hicks as the top LB who's officially a LB: https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-jordan-hicks-stands-at-the-top-of-the-free-agent-linebacker-class I'd take either of them over Barron.
  3. If the Bills did the right thing in FA & filled the OL, I'd love this draft (even though there's not a chance Haskins would be there @ 40) 9: LB Devin White, LSU (where to play Edmunds, White, & Milano would be a nice problem to have) 40: QB Dwayne Haskins, OSU (I know, I know) 74: WR JJ Arcega Whiteside 112: RB David Montgomery, Iowa State 131: RB Devin Singletary, FAU (value was too good to pass up) 147: TE Josh Oliver, San Jose State 158: DL Isaiah Buggs, Alabama 181: OT Max Scharping, Northern Illinois 225: DE Austin Bryant, Clemson 228: WR Miles Boykin, Notre Dame
  4. Most of Brown's salary is guaranteed for the next 2 years, so it's unlikely that what he blabs about in the offseason will cost him a dime. What's more likely is that he drives down his trade value, thereby screwing over the Steelers & possibly forcing them to trade him to a better team (with a later draft pick). It could be pure genius.
  5. Well said. Making it in the NFL is more than running fast, jumping far, and having a good shirtless pic, as countless teams have learned over the years. Having missed large chunks of 2 of his 3 college seasons, durability should be a huge concern. It's fun to think of what Metcalf might've done had he been able to stay on the field, but he didn't. However, he does fit the "athletic freak" profile that McBeane seems to favor in the 1st, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's the pick.
  6. IMO, Carr is an average starter at best. If the Raiders are in rebuilding mode (which they clearly are), then it makes sense to move Carr & address several other areas of need. Having coaxed all-pro seasons out of Rich Gannon & a Super Bowl victory out of Brad Johnson, Gruden would likely think he could get at least similar production from someone cheaper.
  7. I'd like to see the Bills draft two WRs, and for this guy to be one of them.
  8. Never heard of this guy, but it makes sense: Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline reports the Redskins have "openly spoken" about trading for Cardinals QB Josh Rosen. SOURCE: Tony Pauline on Twitter Mar 2, 2019, 4:38 PM
  9. I once took Dorsey as the Bills' QB in Madden franchise mode and developed him into the top QB in the league. It would be fitting for him to return the favor with Allen, but in real life. Get it done, Dorsey!
  10. With a list like that, how could you not have a "None of the above"? I might bring back Marrone over any of those guys. If forced to pick from the list, I'd say Mularkey, who always got the short end of the HC stick. After leaving Buffalo, he waited 7 years to get another HC gig. Unfortunately, it was the injury-riddled, Blaine Gabbert led Jaguars, and Mularkey was canned after one season. 3 years later, he got another shot with the Titans, producing two 9-7 seasons. He was canned after the second, despite winning @ KC in the playoffs before losing to the Pats. And, if I remember correctly, there were a couple of questionable calls that helped turn that game in the Pats' favor. Does anyone remember thinking the 2017 Titans were stacked with talent & should've beaten the Patriots? Me neither. Mularkey didn't deserve to get fired. Also, in contrast to the many bums who've trotted into OBD for paychecks over the years, I always respected Mularkey for walking away when he saw things were headed in the wrong direction.
  11. Looking at the Eagles' negative cap space, Agholor's $9.4M salary (with no dead cap) seems like the most obvious cut of all. I wouldn't trade a thing for him.
  12. Biletnikoff & Johnson both played in the CFL after their careers in the NFL had ended. That means it's just Joe Horn.
  13. Signing Antonio Brown could go a long way toward restoring the Bills to national brand status. Just imagine Brown walking around the NFL combine, wearing an Andre Reed jersey. That's all you've got to say.
  14. High floor, low ceiling. It may be a moot point anyway. Steelers GM Kevin Colbert said free agent Jesse James is likely to be re-signed. James took a backseat to Vance McDonald last year but still managed a career high in yards (432) and yards-per-reception (14.1). He also graded as a top-30 run blocker and is one of the best pass-protecting tight ends in the league. James would have a clearer path to snaps outside of Pittsburgh, but he could be back at the right price. SOURCE: Chris Adamski on Twitter Feb 23, 2019, 1:04 PM
  15. The old "happy ending" is considered prostitution, and offering to pay for it is considered soliciting prostitution (what Kraft is being charged with). I know more about this than I should, though not from personal experience. Anywho, it could be that. It's probably worse, but I guess we'll soon find out.
  16. First of all, referring to Logan Thomas as LT just doesn't feel right. As for resigning the aforementioned guys, meh.
  17. Just an A? Come on now... Your score is: 30947 (GRADE: A) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 9: Williams, Quinnen, DT, Alabama (A+) Round 2 Pick 15 (CAR): Metcalf, DK, WR, Mississippi (A+) Round 3 Pick 10: Adderley, Nassir, CB/FS, Delaware (A+) Round 3 Pick 13 (CAR): Montgomery, David, RB, Iowa State (A+) Round 4 Pick 10: Hockenson, T.J., TE, Iowa (A+) Round 4 Pick 14 (MIA): Ivey, Martez, OT, Florida (A+) Round 5 Pick 7 (T.B.): Bradbury, Garrett, C, North Carolina State (A+) Round 5 Pick 9: Isabella, Andy, WR, Massachusetts (A+)
  18. They traded Portis for Champ Bailey & a 2nd round pick (Tatum Bell), so it worked out for them either way. I always thought Butch Davis was a dope for not drafting Portis, having recruited & coached him at U of Miami.
  19. I can still hear Chris Berman shouting "WOOT!" whenever Dante made a cut. Yes! Tatum Bell, Mike Anderson, Olandis Gary... who am I forgetting? I would not put Portis in that group. Speaking of the Broncos: 2010- WR Brandon Lloyd, in year 8 of an injury-riddled / otherwise sub-par career, broke out to lead the league in receiving yards. 77-1448-11.
  20. I'd grade the Bills higher than an A- for this class: Your score is: 30269 (GRADE: A-) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 11 (CINN): Allen, Josh, OLB, Kentucky (A+) Round 2 Pick 8: Metcalf, DK, WR, Mississippi (A) Round 2 Pick 16 (MIA): Edwards, David, OT, Wisconsin (A) Round 3 Pick 10: Lindstrom, Chris, OG, Boston College (A) Round 3 Pick 14 (MIA): Hockenson, T.J., TE, Iowa (A+) Round 3 Pick 31 (CLE): Tillery, Jerry, DT, Notre Dame (A+) Round 5 Pick 9: Burkett, Jesse, C, Stanford (A+) Round 5 Pick 10 (DEN): Holyfield, Elijah, RB, Georgia (A+) Round 5 Pick 23 (HOU): Jackson, Tyree, QB, Buffalo (A+)
