  1. Too bad Whaley never got to choose his own HC. Or draft his own players. Or cross the street without someone holding his hand.
  2. If Jones was the Giants' guy, there was no sense getting cute. That being said, the video was hilarious. "Oh, NOOOO! Daniel Jones?!? That's the quarterback you ****ing take?!?" Which Hanna Barbera character is he, anyway?
  3. John Brown doesn't want to play for the Bills. Besides, they would never sign him after he spurned them last year.
  4. Bruce is probably my favorite player of all time. That being said, I think Reggie was slightly better.
  5. Bills rookie TE Dawson Knox has "already impressed" during spring practices. Knox (6'4/254) was the Bills' No. 96 overall pick this past draft after posting a 4.58 forty at the Combine. His speed has been on display at OTAs and Josh Allen has praised Knox's familiarity with the playbook. Historically, it's been rare for rookie tight ends to produce, but Knox should at least see a healthy amount of snaps with little ahead of him on the depth chart. 6. Had Trump purchased the Bills, a wall of shame would be long enough to seal the Mexican border.
  7. Or "best classic rock songs, chosen by casual listeners of classic rock". Same difference, I suppose.
  8. I fell for that the first time I heard that song. "This is a classic", I announced to my friends, and then it was Kid Rock. I had to call it a night.
  9. My first job out of college involved doing customer service for a satellite TV company. They hired a young single lady around the same time who was ~6 months pregnant. It wasn't a great paying job, but it was easy & came with benefits, so it seemed like a pretty good score for her to land a job where she could work a couple of months & go on maternity leave. She just couldn't/wouldn't do it. Most days she would get up and leave a few hours early, saying "that's enough for today". Not wanting to lose pay for the hours she was missing, she then started adjusting the clock on her computer to quitting time & clocking out for the day. They fired her, at which point she probably filed a discrimination / wrongful termination suit & spent her days complaining about how unfairly she had been treated. I don't think drugs were involved; I think she was just a dumbass. I heard crack & meth have chemical smells, but I don't think it's common for people to put those in cigarettes (unlike angel dust). It was definitely not K2 I was smelling.
  10. Love it, but I don't think they'd have 3 LBs on the field in that situation. Joseph would make way for an extra DB.
  11. And here I was surprised that Gase got another HC gig so quickly.
  12. I'll never understand why people still say EJ wasn't Whaley's guy, despite Whaley stating countless times & to the end that he was. He's gone; you don't have to make excuses for him anymore.
  13. I'd keep Michel or Cook over either of those QBs. Assuming you drafted Michel several rounds later & he costs much less to keep, that's your guy.
  14. No kidding. Here's a video from our 2014 war room, queued up to the part where Overdorff starts working the phones to try to make a trade. LMFAO!
  15. Respect his decision? It sounds like the Jags found out about it the same way we did. If so, that's a straight dirtbag move.
  16. Trying my best not to imagine what an unusual hard on looks like...
  17. Shame on you for trying to suck me into an argument over which of McDermott or Beane did this or that. I believe they both wanted Oliver. Unlike the joke that was Rex & Whaley completing each other's sentences, I sorta think Beane & McDermott might actually have something close to that. In addition to scouting, there was almost certainly McDermott believing what he might do with Ed Oliver, as well as Beane believing what McDermott might do with Ed Oliver. All of this, and so much more, is what McBeane means to me.
  18. I don't mind trust the process because I trust the process. I don't mind McBeane because I like having a GM & HC working together to make us a contender for the first time in 20 years. McBeane is also good for not getting sucked into arguments over which of McDermott or Beane was directly responsible for this or that. Was Ed Oliver McDermott's guy, or Beane's guy? In truth, he was McBeane's.
  19. He's an athletic freak, which is clearly something that Beane looks for in the first round (3/3). Greatest athletic ability = highest ceiling. Oliver was the perfect pick at the perfect time. He probably won't replace Kyle Williams in the locker room, but I think what he does on the field will help us get over the loss.
  20. It was definitely a cigarette, and not hand-rolled. I'm 99% sure it had been dipped in liquid pcp, aka "wet". Precisely! This wasn't the first time I encountered her; it was just the first time the smell was overwhelming enough for me to say wtf. We shall meet again.
  21. No, that's foosball. Next time! Haha, my dog wanted nothing to do with her!
  22. Late last night while walking my dog, I encountered some whacked out ~30 yo lady (who was not otherwise unattractive), smoking what looked to be a cigarette, but smelling strongly of some sort of chemical. I think a hair removal product (e.g. Nair) is the best comparison I can make to it. She lingered & smoked in front of my building as I walked my dog around the corner (the dog was totally freaked out, btw), scurrying off into the shadows when we returned. My building has outdoor stairs & terraces leading to all the units, and I smelled that crap the whole way up. Went right to bed (as was the plan), then slept through my alarm this morning for the first time in years (not the plan). So, yeah. Does anyone know what angel dust smells like?
  23. I usually don't agree with the "let's hire former Bills player X as a coach" narrative, but this one actually makes some sense. Got something better? Don't leave us hanging!
  24. Lorax seems like the most likely candidate... for this year. He's the same age as Kyle. Forgot about Hyde.
