  1. Fair enough. I'm not a McD lover/apologist but I think the haters fail to acknowledge how close we were to beating the Chiefs when we fielded a defense that depended on AJ Klein to fill in. Even then, it came down to the offense not getting in the end zone.
  2. So your premise remains that the injuries the Lions sustained this year had no impact on their season? If so, does the draft, free agency and depth charts even matter for any team?
  3. So in your world the Lions giving up 45 to the Commanders had nothing to do with their injuries on defense? Um, ok. For the record I never argued that Goff's turnovers had anything to do with the injuries. Nor did I argue that the Bills season ended because their defense was a disaster - I agree with that whole heartedly. Not sure why you are hell bent on putting words in my mouth that never came out.
  4. Stupid reply, once again you're arguing a point I never made. Good for you. Have a nice day.
  5. You can point out individual failed plays by the Lions offense. I'll disagree that that the injuries they had didn't seriously compromise their chances of making it further than they did this year. TBH, it's not clear to me which statement I made you disagree with. Unless you think injuries play no part whatsoever in a teams ability to win a SB - which imo is a different statement than every team that wins a SB has to overcome injuries.
  6. So you don't think the Lions injuries had anything to do with how their season turned out?
  7. Not sure exactly what you're getting at, but on the surface this is as bad a take as the poster a few years ago who preferred Josh throwing for 300 yards over the Bills winning.
  8. Beane took his swing - and missed - with an an aging Von Miller. In the games before Von's injury the defense looked formidable. And unless you think the Lions chances of winning a SB this year wasn't seriously compromised by injuries then perhaps its just a Bills problem.
  9. The wedding ring is an interesting concept. In the past the only time I wouldn't wear it was skiing. I was worried I'd lose it in the glove and/or cuz it was cold and it would slip off. I stopped wearing it since covid when I was working from home and it seemed pointless. afaik wifey doesn't care - and I don't know and care even less whether she wears her engagement or wedding ring.
  10. By the same token you never stayed single. Not that there's virtue either way.
  11. In unrelated news, the Yankees revealed alternate jerseys for 2025 featuring horizontal pinstripes.
  12. Why do husbands usually die before their wives? Because they want to.
  13. The best unconfirmed Lasorda story is he supposedly sent Don Rickles out to the mound to make a pitching change.
  14. A favorite song from an OK band.
  15. “‘She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah. That’s $1,000 right there. You know the words – it’ll be easy."
  16. No doubt about not having to seek it out. But Dak got more national exposure out of those Chunky commercials than I recall Josh ever getting and that was without an MVP or championship. I'm guessing Josh has already passed on opportunities.
  17. I would watch an Incognito documentary. I'm actually glad he hasn't been in the news, the last I recall was reports of unhinged behavior at a funeral home.
  18. Agreed, he'd be great. And I'd watch SNL for the first time since I can remember. I'm just skeptical that's something he'd have any interest in. He's great when he's in the spotlight, but I don't get the impression he seeks it out.
  19. On the same day I saw this story there was another about 2013 Dolphins draft bust Dion Jordan. Smells like a documentary incoming.
  20. To win more? But make less money? Is that what you're hanging your hat on? Ridiculous/snarky comment on your part, why bother defending? I'll hang up and listen.
  21. SNL was must-see TV when I was growing up, but I think it ran from 11:30 PM - 1:00 AM EST so maybe a different perspective if you were on the left coast. In general, once I hit clubbing age I stopped watching SNL On topic - and I'm 100% cool with sidebars - another one I liked was Pure Massacre by Silverchair. Can't find a link, SNL seems very protective of it's content
  22. I saw that after the fact. As I recall the performance included Don Pardo and for sure the slime coming out of the TV monitors. As a huge Zappa and SNL fan that's one I wished I'd have seen live.
