  1. Who knew that we'd get threads like this before the season started and most thought this was a reset year? Good times.
  2. Doves Dark Chocolate
  3. On one hand I agree with the sentiment that winning the SB is the ultimate goal and what matters most - well beyond any other individual accolade. However equating a league MVP award to a participation trophy is beyond stupid.
  4. What's stopping you from doing both?
  5. My favorite part of the past week is wifey's perspective. She's on edge. I've spent the better part of my life living and dying with the Bills successes and failures on my own. I didn't push the Bills on my boys (18 and 22) but was thrilled when it took. As the Bills and Josh started their ascent I think my wife felt left out and started to get invested. Now she's all in. It helps that Josh, the team and the fan base are so solid. It's been great to have the fam share my love of the Bills with all of the highs and lows that come with it. My wife would fit right in with the bi-polar game day thread posts. Good times. Go Bills!
  6. To me he was a compiler and never a truly dominant player. I want Hall of Famers to be iconic, no-doubters. It's subjective and fun to debate. Years ago there was a poster who was very knowledgeable about baseball who mocked me when I said I thought Yadier Molina would be a HOFer. Different strokes for different folks. The real tragedy to me is that I've never been to Cooperstown. Incomprehensible.
  7. I've said it before, I'm a tough grader when it comes to the HOF. I wouldn't put Wagner in and definitely not Franco. The fact that it took 10 years for Wagner to get in speaks volumes to me. Great player, just not a HOFer in my eyes.
  8. So is your opinion that the posting on that site is classy? From what I've read few if any here are disparaging the Chiefs fan base, just the posting of the fans on that site. Is that a go-to board for you?
  9. Apart from the song and video itself, what made it worse for me is that it came from a band that I liked years before it came out.
  10. To each their own - and I mean that sincerely. I have no doubt there's a lot of music I like that others can't stand.
  11. My sons high school marching band was sizable and every year the half-time show was impressive. I'll never forget my eldest coming home with the music freshman year and the closing song was Karn Evil 9. Awesome. Other years they played music I didn't care for (Pit Bull, Avicii) and it was still great. Good times. Back to the thread, here's a song that was pretty popular that I could never stomach: Shout, shout , let it all out. This is a song I could live without!
  12. RIP
  13. I'm just getting caught up on this thread and as soon as I saw @LABILLBACKER's Buddhist reference the first thing that came to mind was "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change...". It's kind of ridiculous to apply it to a football team winning or losing vs. what you went through with your son. And yet I'm 100% on board with the sentiment wrt the Bills.
  14. There are some who call you.......................Tim?
  15. Great player and I learned last night a class act too. Compare his smile/embrace to how Mahomes interacted with Josh after we beat the Chiefs in the regular season last year.
  16. We won the game in large part because we played mistake free. That's a common component to winning in the NFL and not something to be ashamed of. As to your stipulation that we could not afford to make any mistakes - that was true in large part due to the fact that we only put up 6 points in the second half. Raise your hand if you thought 6 more points would be enough to win at half time. Personally I thought we needed 7 on the first drive of the 3rd quarter. Take the w's any way you can get them, but mistake free football is a strong start.
  17. He absolutely wanted to pitch it to Cook. Glad he didn't, would've been a poor choice. On the flip side the Cooper flip to Josh was a play of the year and I don't want Josh to ever lose who he is. Good times.
  18. I can agree with this post while at the same appreciate the "know-it-all" posters who would clearly be coach of the year perennially given the opportunity.
  19. I'm still rolling with the Squirrel Winters t-shirt. The Bruce jersey hasn't made it out of the closet this year. Good times.
  20. Guess #1: the players responsible for the turnovers Guess #2: the players who dropped passes Guess #3 (sorry for not playing by your rules): the head coach who led a team that lost due to turnovers and dropped passes.
  21. I went from elation that they missed the two point conversion to dread at the thought that the game came down to covering an on-sides kick in bad conditions vs. trusting Josh to get us into FG position with 1:33 and two time outs left.
  22. If we didn't make it and the Ravens went 98/99 yards and didn't need a 2 point conversion the other y'all folks would be out in full force. It was a choice with no guarantee either way.
  23. You missed #4 imo. Take your chances in OT if 1-3 go the wrong way. The worst of the 4 but still a shot to win.
  24. The way to catch a knuckleball is to wait until it stops rolling and then pick it up. I can't count the number of times I've said "Juuuust a bit outside!" or went to a game and said "I must be in the front row!" RIP to a legend.
