  1. Awesome. Would be a great addition to my youngest son's 'man cave'. But he's off to college next year so hope you find someone younger.
  2. Just to be clear I think there's a strong argument that McD should be fired solely on his merits as a coach. I also think that the way he attempted to use 9/11 as a motivational tactic was a serious lapse in judgement. I don't take that lightly, my sister-in-law lost her father that day. My nothing burger comment had to do with relating Sean's firing to the 2019 incident. I see no relationship between the two - particularly since he supposedly addressed the 2019 incident shortly after it happened.
  3. Presumably everyone on the board sees Sean's choice of motivational tactic back in 2019 in a negative light. But does anyone see this as a true reflection of the man or was it just a seriously misguided lapse in judgement? My current thinking is it's a big fat nothing burger and nothing to do with his ability to bring us a championship the past few years. On the other hand I do question whether his coaching ability will keep us from winning a championship - but that topic has been debated ad nauseum.
  4. Better yet, serve it to an unwelcome guest.
  5. It's been awhile since It's been on the shelves - rumor was that the lawsuits from injuries due to flaming shots became too much - and I have nothing to back that up except rumor. I always thought it was funny that the bottle had a screen on it. A local store had 151 Cruzan for awhile but I haven't seen that in at least a year or two.
  6. If this ends up being McD's undoing my comparison is Capone getting put away due to tax evasion.
  7. LOL - I just texted the same thought to my Jet fan friend (before seeing your comment). Ironically he's a guy that told me recently he thought McD is a good coach.
  8. Send the 151 my way. Pretty sure they stopped making that years ago. Haven't found a consistent replacement since - and who doesn't need a floater on their summer rum drinks!
  9. Said this earlier, but listening to NYC sports radio guys getting hot and bothered about this on my way home from work was an eye opener. I tune in to bask in the latest Zach/Saleh/Jets bashing and instead I get this?
  10. Left the office around 5 PM down here on Long Island, flipped on sports radio and all they were talking about was McD. Someone was incredulous that he coached at MetLife on 9/11. Has it come out when the comments were made? I was following this thread earlier today but haven't seen that. On a separate note, Sean owned up to the comments so I guess he has some level of accountability, lol. EDIT: just saw elsewhere that it was 2019 training camp
  11. Good for him. A class act and a guy I'd have been more than happy to manage my team.
  12. It's beyond me why anyone would give up on the season given the talent we have. I'm not overly optimistic - I see the warts we all see - just seems like some folks are more interested in the hope of the offseason (when no games/championships can be won) over what's possible and right in front of us.
  13. I wouldn't spend any time on Off The Wall if it weren't for The Stadium Wall. I come to the site predominantly for Bills news and opinions. But I post far more on OTW. Topics and posters tend to me lighter and more humorous. More often than not any opinion I have on the Bills has already posted in TSW by the time I see a thread. Plus I'm not interested in the 'mine is bigger than yours' mentality of posters convinced their opinion is right and everyone else is an idiot that I see more on TSW than on OTW. I love opposing opinions but have no time for know-it-alls when it comes to opinions.
  14. I watched the better part of both of those games and I really made no assertion as to which teams I think were as good as Bama or Georgia. What I took exception to was your comments about past SEC champions. My assumption was that you were using that as justification for an SEC team being included this year. Were you? If so, why? If not, why bring it up? IMO it's irrelevant - and it makes me question whether it was a factor in excluding FSU. BTW, I find the missing their QB argument exceedingly weak - although from what I gather in this thread it is a selection criteria - which tells me it's more about TV ratings than rewarding regular season success.
  15. lmfao - I have a close friend who moved away years ago, never went to college, ended up connecting with some Michigan fans, had a great time at a game in the Big House and now I get the Go Blue texts from him. Which are countered by another close friend who is a fan of OSU despite probably never setting foot in the state of Ohio. As an out of market Bills fan I have no issue with anyone rooting for any team for any reason (as long as their loyal). Myself? I went to a school that was an NCAA D-1 hockey champion when I attended which was really cool - but I feel no real allegiance to the school that I paid to attend. Long story longer- it's funny how we choose and defend our allegiances to sports teams.
  16. It's indicative of past performance. Shouldn't be considered at all when choosing the 2023 top 4 imo.
  17. My favorite restaurants are the ones where I have no reluctance ordering something different off the menu. I also have restaurants where I pretty much order the same thing every time. As a general rule, any time I see short rib, swordfish or (local caught) striped bass it's a safe bet that's what I'll order.
  18. Bills and Jets both win out, other things happen and both make the playoffs (as per the ESPN playoff machine this is possible). Rodgers returns for a Bills/Jets playoff game - blows his Achilles again and Zach leads the Jets to victory.
  19. Cool! If it's any consolation he's the one band member I didn't poke fun at in my Bad Religion post - he looked the part of a rocker more than the rest of the band. Regardless my silly observations the entire band rocked - had the relentless vibe of a Ramones show which is high praise from where I type.
  20. That's awesome, thanks for the info! Apologies for the punk/pop reference - it's one of my quirks that I only label bands as punk if they came from that late 70's Sex Pistols era. Plus I also think that bands like Bad Religion are a bit more accessible than some of the hardcore punk bands so punk/pop is not intended to be derogatory, just the opposite. As an aside, that concert was #$%#& loud. I've had tinnitus on and off ever since. Headed to get my ears checked out next week. We always used to say "if it's too loud, you're too old" - I may have hit that stage lol.
  21. Grey would be the color if I had a heart
