That's awesome! Reminded me of Cleveland's Dog Pound. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/417030-six-points-before-the-dawg-pound-was-neutered The most inventive smuggling in the history of the Pound may have been the dog house. Painted orange, brown and white to resemble a Browns helmet, it sat in the end zone on top of the hill in front of the Pound for years before security noticed it took six men to carry the dog house in and only two to carry it out. Every Sunday, the dog house was home to a keg of beer. The men who brought it in had lines running to their seats in Section 60.

Heard this with a friend in the past year and his immediate reaction/question/statement was whether this was the best cover ever?

Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson among others reinstated by MLB

Comparing your Tom House quote "As research showed up, guys stopped" with the likes of baseballs steroid era guys is disingenuous to me. Is that what you think happened with the likes of Bonds, Clemens, et. al? Fun fact: Tom House had a nice career as a MLB pitcher but went on to coach throwing including to a number of NFL QB's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_House -
I'm married but unless we're gonna finish it off the next day - which is rare - we wrap and freeze.

The wife won’t order steak when we go out because she says we make it better at home I can't justify the exorbitant price of steak when we go out when I can make something I like just as much at home for a fraction of the cost I miss a good prime rib My father attempted to cook prime rib at home and failed once or twice so I never attempted. This is a steak that I will order out.

Holy crap, lmfao, outstanding!. How have I never heard this before? EDIT: this would fit perfectly with the Repo Man soundtrack.

Fun fact: Tampa Rays had their first ever home game rainout today.

Back to this stat, wtf? Are they going to include whether the wind was blowing in or blowing out in the calculation? Relative humidity? I need to better understand what constitutes a true HR. And while we're on the topic of HR's another pet peeve of mine is the disappearance of the HR fence. It used to be a lot simpler and satisfying to know right away whether it was a HR - it was either over the fence or it wasn't. These days there are too many times where we wait on instant replay to determine whether we're happy or sad on what used to be a definitive play.

I don't hate all of the new stats but this one is remarkably bad. It was either last year or the year before Lindor was having a really bad start to the season and my son broke out some new age stat that was a measure of how hard he was hitting the ball with the premise being he was making solid contact even though his batting average was abysmal. He ended up going on a tear the rest of the year and I filed it under things that make you go hmmm. I also like WHIP for pitchers, but for the life of me I can't wrap my head around OPS. And one stat that feels totally made up is WAR.

Not only a great cover but a contender for "One Song to Listen to For the Rest of Your Life...."

Totally get your point of view wrt cloying annoying/twang. For me it was intentionally camp and a fun contribution to the early years of MTV.

Agree to disagree. Stupid awesome song and the dudes face coming out of the pot of baked beans is worth the price of admission.

Fun fact. Canadian three piece band (ala Rush) and the bass player would wear the home town hockey jersey of the arena they were playing in. JMO, they had a few great/iconic songs but a deeper dive into their albums was disappointing. Two more that I liked (and ya gotta love the two-necked guitar):

Totally got the LOU part, no clue on the rap song so thanks for that. LOU vs. Loo gave me and my son a chuckle last night. And agreed for the most part on the city connects. We actually like the Mets city connects, but many are god-awful. And while we're on topic for unis the Cardinals road blues are one of my faves.

Does this count?

@4merper4mer You're a Cardinals fan right? What's up with "The Lou" is that a thing - maybe a Brock connection? From the outside looking in gotta question the marketing guys.

What is your favorite totally random Bills game?
SinceThe70s replied to T.E.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
2017 Bills-Broncos. The third (and most recent) time I attended a Bills home game. Unless I'm mistaken it went on record as the hottest Bills home game ever. Fortunately we were on the shady side. Most memorable play was Von Miller's unsportsmanlike when he put out his hand to help Tyrod up after a third down stop in the 4th - and then pulled it back drawing a penalty. My profile pic is from that game. Good times. -
Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)

As I recall he was a malcontent that even the Jets didn't think was worth the baggage. I'll file this under high hopes but low expectations.
