  1. This is probably my all-time fave hard rock female vocal performance.
  2. Never heard them, definitely rocker chicks! Unlike many of the uber-talented, uber-successful, uber-whatever performers mentioned upstream that I would never consider to be rocker chicks. Love the first side of that album and this is the crown jewel imo.
  3. Back to the early 80's. At that point in my life Rock Goddess were my favorite Rocker Chicks.
  4. I have a healthy sports hatred for the Jets but it's mitigated by the fact that I have close friends and family that are fans of the team. With regard to Mets/Jets, a number of years ago I was at a Mets game and some fans tried to start a M-E-T-S! Mets! Mets! Mets! chant and I was thoroughly nauseated - told my friend in no uncertain terms not to contaminate the Mets with that sh!t. With all of that said one of my guilty pleasures in life is listening to NYC sports radio the day after a Jets loss.
  5. Finally found time for a dive into the Kyuss pool. Right up my alley, here's one that hit me:
  6. I wouldn't call her a favorite, but Wendy O Williams deserves to be mentioned.
  7. I hear ya. I try to separate the music from the politics too.
  8. Came across that song a few years ago shortly after hearing the following. Two other Kid Rock faves of mine:
  9. The above applies to every decision made in my household. Growing up I had a Black Lab-German Shepherd mix named Pepper - basically a Black Lab with Shepherd ears. Either me, my sister or both lobbied for Peppy but there wasn't consensus. Mom came up with Pepper because he was black with a small white stripe on his chest. Best name ever for a fish is Gil (with acknowledgements to the movie What About Bob?)
  10. Fer sure. Thinking we're going to lose and thinking we have a chance to win are two things that I can think at the same time. And for the record the Tuh-ROD era was nowhere near as bad as some of the other Bills eras that I've endured.
  11. Two interesting plays in the Mets/Dodgers game tonight. 1) Mets bobble a catch in CF when Soto and Tyrod Taylor collide, runners on 1st and 2nd advance on the SF. Mets lose challenge that the runner on 2nd left early before the ball was caught. By rule runner can leave as soon as the ball is touched, not when it's caught. Never knew that rule. 2) Met is thrown out at the plate on a SF but call is overturned because Dodger 3B intentionally obstructed with the runners view of the catch.
  12. I haven't felt this way about any game we've played since I became a fan.
  13. Both characters didn't stray too far from their Cheers personae. Couldn't find a video clip of George Wendt, but you can imagine Norm as Harold. Harold: Hey, it's great to have a new neighbor. Woman lived here before you was nuts. Biggest B word under the sun. Just a senile old hag really. Wouldn't be surprised if someone just got fed up and offed her. Know what I mean? Roger: She was my aunt. Harold: Heart of gold though. Just uh, a saint really. And uh such a beautiful woman, for her age.
  14. An interesting tidbit about Norm and Cliff: George Wendt had a small part in the 1985 horror/comedy House. In the the 1987 sequel House II John Ratzenberger had a small part.
  15. "What's going on, Mr. Peterson?" "The question is what's going in Mr. Peterson? A beer please, Woody." RIP
  16. LMAO at Yankees fans twisting themselves into pretzels over Soto. Delicious. With that said the bleacher creatures turning their back to him when he went out to RF was great. As to Soto himself, we've seen players struggle after signing big contracts with the Mets before, Beltran and Lindor recovered, Jason Bay never did. I fully expect Soto to look like Soto at the plate but when I watch him in RF I get concerned about the long contract.
  17. Nor do any of the negative or positive opinions on this board, but from where I'm sitting it's nice to see the sports books trying to get folks to bet against the Bills.
  18. That's awesome! Reminded me of Cleveland's Dog Pound. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/417030-six-points-before-the-dawg-pound-was-neutered The most inventive smuggling in the history of the Pound may have been the dog house. Painted orange, brown and white to resemble a Browns helmet, it sat in the end zone on top of the hill in front of the Pound for years before security noticed it took six men to carry the dog house in and only two to carry it out. Every Sunday, the dog house was home to a keg of beer. The men who brought it in had lines running to their seats in Section 60.
  19. Heard this with a friend in the past year and his immediate reaction/question/statement was whether this was the best cover ever?
  20. Comparing your Tom House quote "As research showed up, guys stopped" with the likes of baseballs steroid era guys is disingenuous to me. Is that what you think happened with the likes of Bonds, Clemens, et. al? Fun fact: Tom House had a nice career as a MLB pitcher but went on to coach throwing including to a number of NFL QB's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_House
  21. I'm married but unless we're gonna finish it off the next day - which is rare - we wrap and freeze.
