  1. So I jumped out the window And down the fire escape Broke the window, who needs car keys anyway? Climbed through the window, I thought led to your heart Thrown out the window, there was nothing there to break my fall.
  2. It's a natural feeling when I make a sound Take a regular note and mold it all around You can shake it up fast or take it nice and slow Keep it busy just listening to my vibrato
  3. She's a sensation She's a sensation She looks so sweet She's a sensation She's a sensation Good enough to eat She's a sensation Oh, oh, oh She looks a so fine She's a sensation She's a sensation I'm gonna make her mine
  4. Fun fact: Justin Jefferson has more career receiving yards (5134) than any Chicago Bear had for their career - Johnny Morris is the leader with 5059 (1958-1967).
  5. I just want to be a good boy, I don't want to be bad Now I wanna run away from home, now I wanna be on my own
  6. Just to be clear my savior comment had more to do with listening to local radio - but when you threw your support behind Stearns I was interested in why. I know next to nothing about the guy but when I look at the resume it's not obvious to me why everyone is so excited about the hire. I'm happy that they got the guy they wanted, beyond that I'll wait to see what moves he makes.
  7. You either need to buy more beer in advance - or running out of beer is your excuse to bust out the bourbon. Either way, I endorse your plan for Sunday! Go Bills.
  8. @Gugny @ExWNYer @Another Fan A lot to catch up on, I'll try to be brief. I have no interest in revisiting the past. The ship sailed on Terry and Beltran for different reasons but I see nothing good coming from bringing either back. The Collins clip that @Another Fan posted was great - would like to see some of that out of Buck instead of the 'I know better than you' scowl. I'm interested in why folks think Stearns is the savior. I'm not for or against the guy. I get that he grew up a Mets fan, I love the fact that we wanted him and got him, but he's been with the Brewers for awhile and unless I'm mistaken the Brewers have won one post season series since he was hired in 2015. And now he's in charge of a big market team where those types of results would not make him exalted. As for Buck, the interesting thing I heard about Stearns is that he inherited Craig Counsell as manager. Not sure if that means anything or not. I can't lobby to keep Buck but at the same time I'm not sure who I'd want to replace him so I'm fine with playing wait and see.
  9. True, but the flipside is that if the Jets lose I may not be able to turn off NYC sports radio.
  10. Nice deep cut. I saw The Ramones more than any other band. Always a fun, high energy show. Subterranean Jungle was a freaking great album, albeit more on the pop side compared to their first few. This song pretty much defined me and my friends around the time it came out:
  11. Four Falls of Buffalo
  12. I am happy to be stuck with you
  13. Did you miss the season ender for us last year?
  14. As someone who has worked for two companies whose business model and long term viability were both seriously challenged - and watching upper managements strategy for addressing said challenges - I love this quote as it was 100% accurate. Things got better in one of the companies when the ineffective/broken deck chairs were thrown overboard.
  15. I feel like the Bills have had the swagger the past few years - just without the mouth.
  16. 100% on Matz not being mentally strong. When the going got tough he got soft. Matz was a big deal for me cuz he was a local boy. And if you didn't know there was an epic game between him and Stroman as high-schoolers. I was oblivious to it when it went down but it was a cool story when Stroman came to the Mets and they became teammates.
  17. A few years ago I had my Bills hat on at the butcher and the guy behind the counter asked me who would be better: Sam or Josh (I live in Jet/Giant country). I went with Josh - even though by many accounts Sam projected to be better. Now when I walk in with my Bills hat on my head is held a little higher. Looking forward to the day when folks see my Bills gear and don't think of the 4 straight.
  18. I generally agree with this - except the bolded. I expect the Bills to be a formidable/competitive team week in and week out. Injuries and unforeseen circumstances notwithstanding (see last season) I don't expect to go into any game thinking we'll be lucky/fortunate to come out with a W. LOL - my Mets/Bills coffee mugs are in the midst of the transition. Same with the hats
  19. This tattoo that I outgrew, I never thought it through before like you I wish somehow I knew to listen to my missing voice of reason What would it take? don't make me beg I'm falling on my knees Could you stick around to tighten loose ends for me It's not too difficult to tighten loose ends
  20. I just noticed that they batted Dominguez third tonight. That surprised me.
  21. @ExWNYer @Gugny @Another Fan Mauricio trivia.....answers further down: 1) He had two hits in his Mets/MLB debut. Who is the last Met to do that? 2) He went 3 for 4 in his first Mets/MLB at bats? Who is the last Met to do that? 3) He went 4 for 5 in his first Mets/MLB at bats? Who is the last Met to do that? 1) Steven Matz 2) Luis Guillorme 3) Jake DeGrom
  22. I wasn't a follower, but some great tunes for sure. My lasting memory will be going to an aquarium when my kids were young on the other side of the Delaware from Philadelphia and there was a parking lot next door filled with RV's. Found out later it was for a Jimmy Buffet concert. He brought a lot of joy to a lot of people and that's a life well led in my book.
  23. @ExWNYer @Gugny @Another Fan In his first at bat Mauricio purportedly hit the hardest ball a Met has hit all year. I saw the at bat (RFer was frozen) and watched him get stranded at third. Looks like a big dude - surprised he projected as a SS let alone 2B.
