Nice call on Garces, I had forgotten about him. There's something about non-athletic looking players that makes them endearing. Vogelbach had that going for him, but unfortunately hasn't produced enough. As I recall Garces was pretty good.

Not to make light of extended power outages but if you don't have a generator then you're probably eating pretty good for a few days. When it comes down to deciding between the steaks or the hot dogs it's an easy choice. All the best to you and your neighbors, hope your power is restored sooner rather than later.

Funny that you mentioned the 101 wins. I saw that in the last few days and had forgotten about that. The way the last month or two of 2022 went it didn't feel liek a 101 win season. Tonights pitching matchup is interesting - two free agents who didn't see the field until recently.

@Another Fan @ExWNYer @Gugny I saw today that Guillorme went on the IL and figured it might open up an opportunity for Mauricio. Instead they called up journeyman Mendick. In fairness I don't pay attention to the minors so maybe there's a good reason but with Marte, Pham and Guillorme all on the shelf I thought we might see Mauricio. At the least I hope it opens up at bats for Vientos.
