  1. Still have mine too. Brought it out for good luck on Thanksgiving.
  2. Awarded the Sabres? Is that like a participation trophy? JK
  3. Cause I was born lonely down by the riverside Learned to spin fortune wheels, and throw dice And I was just thirteen when I had to leave home Knew I couldn't stick around, had to roam Ain't good lookin', but you know I ain't shy Ain't afraid to look a girl, in the eye So if you need some lovin, and you need it right away Take a little time out, and maybe I'll stay Then I got to ramble (ramblin' man) Lord I got to gamble (gamblin' man)
  4. So many to choose from and La Grange is as good a choice as any. Fun ZZ fact. On their 1976 World Wide Texas Tour: "The band’s mission was to “bring Texas to the people”, and they certainly succeeded in that: as well as a 35-ton stage in the shape of the Lone Star State, they also took along a veritable menagerie of Texan critters including a buffalo, a Longhorn steer, several venomous rattlesnakes, some tarantulas, and six vultures all called Oscar." https://www.loudersound.com/features/fly-on-the-wall-29-may-1976-zz-top-take-texas-on-the-road
  5. I drank Dallas whiskey and lost my mind Had high-balls in Houston, three for a dime Everything starts to spin, loaded on gin I fell out the door, what I said is I'm blind in Texas, the lone star is hot tonight I'm blind in Texas, the cowboys have taken my eyes
  6. I like to roughly categorize teams as: Super Bowl contenders: teams that I think have a real shot at making it that far Playoff teams: teams I expect to make the playoffs and probably win one or more playoff games Playoff hopefuls: teams that have a shot at making the playoffs but probably wouldn't win more than one playoff game, if any Everyone else For me the Bills went from a playoff hopeful to a playoff team after the Cowboys win. A win or strong showing against the Ravens would nudge them closer to being a SB contender in my eyes.
  7. Minute left in the half, Brady throws one deep left with no Pats receiver in sight: Me: Who was he throwing it to, the back judge? My 13 year old son: at least he threw it to someone on his team.
  8. You are way too kind.
  9. Bengals game was never in doubt, amirite?
  10. Why not win out and go for the division? Or make the playoffs and knock the Pats out?
  11. Don't know whether this had anything to do with scent, but a few years back our neighbors went on vacation. My wife was supposed to keep tabs on tabby. All good until the nut job mother-in-law decided the cat would be better off at her home for the rest of the week. Cat got to nut jobs home a few miles away and immediately bolted. Somehow found it's way back home days later.
  12. Strong call. Boxing was must see TV for me - up until it became blatantly obvious it was fixed. The fact that we have an ex-ref as part of every broadcast team is a sad indictment of the current state. I think the biggest problem with NFL officiating is inconsistency. Which could be either incompetence or the 'fix is in'. Either way, it's made the sport tougher to watch. ------ But games like yesterday and 9-3 starts make NFL officiating much more palatable! Go Bills!
  13. Nice to see a crowd shot with a Bills fan front and center rocking a standing buffalo knit hat.
  14. Supposedly the balloons are flying. Hope they don't run into any issues. We're hoping that in the next few years my boys high school marching band gets invited. Looks like it won't happen for my eldest, holding out hope for his younger brother.
  15. The 6 Pack was great, that's how I got introduced to those albums. But do yourself a favor and get a hold of the 2006 re-release of Tres Hombres with the original mix. It's noticeably better than the remixed version on 6 Pack.
  16. Is it just me, or could anyone else see Cleveland extend their win streak to 7 only to lose to an 0-15 Bengals team?
  17. Di'Anno: Remember Tomorrow Dickinson: Hallowed Be Thy Name
  18. In my time of dying, want nobody to mourn All I want for you to do is take my body home Well, well, well, so I can die easy
  19. Queensryche was a favorite of mine. I bought their EP on a whim when it first came out and it blew me away. Eventually their career arc led them to Silent Lucidity, but before that they were much better. Including a cringe-worthy video of the song that started it all for me:
  20. The Post went with Broadway Sam in the title so at least they were paying attention.
  21. I'm a huge fan of ZZ. Gotsta Get Paid and Head In Mississippi are examples of greatness shining through after their best days were past. Here's a lesser known ZZ song worth a listen:
  22. Who changes your light bulbs for you?
  23. Lying? Only you would know that. I'm on the side that you're wrong. I didn't see a gimmick offense at all. I saw an offense with a mindset to dominate. Which they did.
  24. Jesus Just Left Chicago ...cause taking care of business is his name
