  1. As did you with your use of the word some...or so I hope
  2. It's a Christmas song. Christmas songs are fluffy and sappy. I'm cool with that. It does not add to his downside unless you were already there.
  3. Finger waving moment: why does Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time incite such vitriol? It's a happy holiday song, sung by an icon, aimed at an audience that still believes in Santa Claus. What kid doesn't like that song? A holiday favorite of mine crushed by the HS band a few years ago.
  4. My grandpa, he's ninety five And he keeps on dancin' He's still alive My grandma, she's ninety two She loves to dance And sing some, too I don't know But I've been told If you keep on dancing You'll never grow old
  5. So when you asked me if I hated you now It's not you it's just all of the times I missed out On sleeping with your roommate every time you passed out But, That's ok
  6. Free me Can't you hear that's what I say Free me Anyhow or anyway
  7. Wabbit season!! Not so much!
  8. Focus has been on the possibility of beating the Pats to win the division. Another possibility is beating the Pats to make them play wild card weekend and lose home field advantage. Go Bills!
  9. ....an hour or so before kick-off of a win and in game. Go Bills!
  10. She's young now, she's wild now, she wants to be free She gets the magic power of the music in me
  11. And all the rest of whom for which To whensonever of partially indeterminate Bio-chemical degradation Seek the path to sudsy yellow nozzle Of their foaming nocturnal Parametric digital whole-wheat inter-faith Geothermal terpsichorean ejectamenta In Serious Leather... Serious Chains Then they work the wall 'N work the floor 'N work the pipe 'N work the wall some more In Serious Leather In Serious Chains In Serious Clothing From when they come downtown From the ruins of Studio 54 To twist 'n frugg In an arrogant gesture To the best of what the 20th Century has to offer, at the MUDD CLUB
  12. We took this trip to Garden Grove It smelled like Lou-dog inside the van, oh yeah This ain't no funky reggae party, $5 at the door
  13. I hear ya, but I never forgot him. That's a boat anchor contract for a team not willing to bury their mistakes with $$$ - unlike our crosstown rivals.
  14. I'm driving down Sunset Boulevard Sex Pistols on the radio in my car And I must be high I just saw Jesus walk by I make a hard left as the sun comes up Over Hollywood vampires pushin' their luck Baby lock your door Yeah we've seen this before And I don't know what you're doing to me But it sure feels right P.S. - I'm gonna break ranks here and post the song above. My guess is you haven't heard it, thought it might resonate with this group. For me it's about driving in your car listening to a song you like and thinking about good things in your life.
  15. I heard a great comment on my drive home today to the effect that nobody questioned Lamar's ability to be successful in the offense he ran at Louisville. What everyone questioned was whether that offense (and by extension Lamar) could be successful in the NFL.
  16. According to the NY Post the Mets had stopped paying him and filed a grievance. I don't remember hearing that before today. https://nypost.com/2019/12/13/mets-get-yoenis-cespedes-contract-break-after-injury-investigation/
  17. I went from Phoenix, Arizona All the way to Tacoma Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A. Northern California Where the girls are warm So I could hear my sweet baby say Keep on a-rock'n me, baby
  18. Saw them earlier this year and they crushed the Sentinel. Highlight of the show for me.
  19. What's fun for me is the distinction between what wifey and i consider to be 'wasting money'.
  20. It's amazing how much we get invested in this sh!t. Myself included, else I never would have responded to OP. Discourse is good. Helps to challenge and shape my thoughts.
  21. You've fallen into the trap. Why do you care whether or if it transformed her life? And yet you do. It's a freakin commercial. Could be aimed at any one. Sometimes you, sometimes not you.
  22. Commercial had that vibe. I'm neither part of the target market nor the outrage. Last year we had the car commercial where the male (I can't assume husband in this day and age - amirite?) surprises the female with trucks for each of them for Xmas. Except she demands the truck he intended for himself through multiple "I love its". I thought she was a controlling, ungrateful, me-first b!tch. I never once considered a social media campaign to raise awareness of the despicable nature of her kind . And that's all I have to say about that.
  23. No such thing as bad press? I wonder if Peloton actually p!ssed off their target market. Not saying it happened here but it would be genius if their target market was offended by all the outrage.
