NFL Attendance Hits a 15-Year Low
SinceThe70s replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL. PC Richard is an appliance/electronics dealer in the tri-state area. Years ago my brother-in-law had Jets seasons and would take me to the Bills game. After every Jets first down they'd play the notes from the PC Richard jingle and I'd look at BIL and say, "I'm not sure why, but I feel like buying a refrigerator right about now". -
Smoke vs Hopkins stats this year
SinceThe70s replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@Da webster guy Fascinating stats. Two things that stuck out to me: on 35 more targets, Hopkins had 32 more catches but only 105 more yards. The 32 catches on 35 extra targets suggests better hands or a more accurate QB (cue the Allen haters). The comparable yardage suggests a lot of 'less productive' catches. I looked up how many first down receptions they had: 53 for Brown (74% of his receptions), 68 for Hopkins (65%) which is pretty much a wash for me and suggests that my 'less productive' insinuation was wrong. Anyway, I didn't get the impression you were making the point that Brown was better then Hopkins, just that the production this year was comparable. Stats are great, the eye tests are great, but neither should be ignored. For tomorrow, I'm sure the Bills won't overlook Hopkins because of the stats. -

What Are Your Post Season Expectations?
SinceThe70s replied to SinceThe70s's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Originally I asked you "How so?" but after reviewing I assume it's because all the choices except winning the SB included "Loser" Fair criticism, wasn't my intention to be negative. If you can suggest better names for the categories I'll consider editing (if possible). -

I don't think that's out of the question. But I would consider it a pleasant surprise. My assumption is it would mean Josh took the next step. -
Meathead [Gronkowski] strikes again
SinceThe70s replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I had the same question about it being scripted. Don't think it was. Steve Harvey would have had a much better line if it was scripted. He looked pissed/incredulous. This was meathead Gronk being meathead Gronk IMO. It was one thing that he spiked it, but then he kicked the eff out of it. -
Two years ago I was thrilled the drought was over and I had no expectation that we'd make it past the Jags. Wasn't conceding the game, but expectations were low. Fast forward and I firmly believe that the current Bills team is capable of beating anyone. At the same time I don't think we're strong enough to make a run at the SB, but I hope I'm wrong. How far do you think we make it this year? One and done? All the way? Again, I'll never concede defeat for any game but my expectation is we beat Houston and lose in the divisional round. Go Bills!

Even though it's Bill related, Off The Wall is probably a better home for a tribute to this Schoolhouse Rock singer: https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/01/entertainment/jack-sheldon-dead/index.html

What was the Bill's Play-of-the-Decade?

It's Dalton/Boyd in a landslide for me. Two honorable mentions with some recency bias: -
When you feel much less good tomorrow morning take two aspirins and call yourself an idiot.

Lol. It's my sisters birthday as well. Always thought that her birthday got a bit over shadowed by NYE every year. I think it bothered me more than her. Hope you and the fam have a great night.

2 years ago today, Dalton became a folk hero!
SinceThe70s replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I forgot it was New Years Eve. But my 11th grader remembered that as well as exactly where he was sitting when Dalton hit Boyd. It was his first taste of Bills joy. Good times! More to come. Happy New Year! -

There were lot of great fan reaction videos making the rounds two years ago. I'll always remember this guy: -
No, I can't forget tomorrow When I think of all my sorrows When I had you there but then I let you go And now it's only fair that I should let you know What you should know I can't live, if living is without you

Crowd Reaction when Lorenzo's was pulled

100% From what I saw on TV, 57 was surprised and appreciative. My takeaway is that McD places a high value on veteran leadership and tries to pay it back (i.e.- the Kyle Williams TD). IMO, it's a good time to be a Bills fan. -

Around the League: Week 17
SinceThe70s replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...and how did a team that was 'tanking' win 5 games? The notion by way too many that NFL coaches/players 'tank' seasons is laughable.
