Watch Tua play. He’s not very mobile & puts up many 50/50 balls which can lead to turnovers and WRs getting blown up. The key to beating Miami however, will be how well our offense performs against their defense. Our defense is built to take out Tua who by all metrics is a poor man’s Mahomes. It’s lucky for us our coaches have the Baltimore game tape to prepare. I suspect they will bait Tua into many poor decisions and totally shut down their running game.

I’m reminded by the shear size of Herbert’s WRs. The speed of Kelce, and formerly Hill and offense genius of Andy Reid. Allen has never thrown to a WR who had any remarkable metrics. Nor does Allen have a HC who is an offensive genius. Allen makes up for it with his unique skillset and will to win.

It all comes down to the Dline, shutting down the run early. Make a team one dimensional. Then it’s about the quality of the pass rush. If you can get pressure sending 3 or 4 men great. The more pressure then you can play more zone and attack the short routes by jumping the routes. No need to take too many risks. I’m interested in facing a run heavy play action offense like the Titans offer.

Allen should be forced to not throw a pass till the 2nd half to make things interesting.

If he rolled it to the inside he’s good (back by next game or misses worse case 3 games). If it bent outward that’s the dreaded high ankle. 4-6 weeks & likely returns after bye week w/ Tre.
