  1. A question is, will the modern rules permit defenses to adapt to that style of play. Can't hit "defenseless" receivers, can't hit QBs really at all, more difficult to tackle people from behind at all since you can't grab anything near the neck or shoulders or land on people's legs, etc.
  2. DeJean would be very good on this defense. Versatile guy, makes a lot of plays. Gives you a lot of options in coverage.
  3. And also because he was relatively unproductive over 3 years at two different, very successful, college programs. He had one good year. He's far from a slam dunk choice.
  4. It's pretty widely discussed. Other than the kid coming out and saying it IDK how to provide what you ask for.
  5. You're right. It is easier to manage. That's why if it's currently poorly managed it begs the question why.
  6. If he's not managing that given what he does, with the resources of two different major football programs with all the resources a player could ask for that speaks to a lack of maturity as much as anything else. It's not about the Bills managing his diabetes, it's about him managing his diabetes. Could he start? Sure. Why would he begin now if he hasn't already?
  7. I mean, we didn't get a ton, but it's more than zero and Beane clearly had a hardon for that 3rd the league boned us out of.
  8. We already own two second round picks now so, yes? I don't think that's what you meant though.
  9. He did? "Shakir averaged 36 yards per game last year, so I wouldn't point to him as this major coup of a pick. Buffalo's best draft pick used on a WR in 6 drafts is a 4th on Davis. And he was so good they let him walk in UFA. McBeane have found most of their production from UFA or trades at the position in a league which prioritizes them in the draft."
  10. I know what they have. They have 3 more choices than the minimum and they didn't acquire any of the extras today. It's a deep draft in certain positions. WR being one of them. Overall it's not. I doubt they use all of those 5ths on players, I'd expect them to be packaged up to move up and I doubt they keep the 6th or especially 7th. They will try to flip them for picks next year or include them in other trades as in a 5th to get up into the 4th. Something like that.
  11. I don't dislike the player. I have a Kevin Bacon style connection to him and it would be nice to have him. Backs are scary though.
  12. They might try to package up some 5s or move that 4 up, but they will keep the 3. I also think they flip any 6s or 7s they have left by that point into futures next year.
  13. That's pretty crap, but the man does have a job to do and I'd imagine they are still pretty busy right now.
  14. Plus we are still working through the COVID bonus year stuff.
  15. I read that post with you bursting through a door all out of breath. It gave me a giggle.
  16. I have no idea where the money comes from for something like this. That tweet honestly feels like copium to keep Bills fans from losing their minds. I agree they have all day to work out a trade, but it's not for Higgins or Aiyuk or Samuel. I hope it's not anyway. Higgins is good, but he's not Batman. He's Robin. You don't pay Robin. Chase is Batman. Aiyuk is a nice player, but stud #1? I don't think so. Samuel? He's a fun player, but does he give them what they need on the outside? Plus all of these guys will be insanely expensive to keep onboard which is why they are available in the first place. They'll take a WR or two still, have them on cheap deals for 4 years and move forward.
