  1. While normally I might go 8, but it was an extremely close contest imo, so I went 4.
  2. It could easily be a smokescreen. All it takes is one player willing to burn a bridge with a reporter. Although I doubt it. As has been pointed out quite often there's really not that much incentive to doing so. Let me ask you though, if your Indy are you really not even going to entertain the possibility that we have another qb behind center in game 1?
  3. I can't recall seeing so much concensus before.
  4. Keeping a bunch of players who don't want to be here is an obvious blunder. I'm really sad he didn't want to be here.
  5. That list just made me realize how bad our qbs have been lately. I keep hearing people talk about average qb play, but I can add 5 to that list pretty easy . . .
  6. that's about it. better that we're sitting here bitching then all the other 31 teams if we were the best.
  7. Found this -- pretty interesting http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/article-5/Percy-Harvin-as-Punt-Returner-Well-See/3361add1-ab3a-46a8-a3e1-4aace3009719 From last year -- Comment on this article was pretty funny, text to follow: In the first half Greeno Smith is 6 of 30 for 2 yards and 3 pick sixes... one of which is thrown to a Bills fan sitting in the first row who then runs it back for a TD... the refs allow TD because they knew Greeno would just throw another pick six on the next play anyway... Jets fans agree. Puzzy Harvin fumbles his only two kick returns in end zone which gives the Bills 14 points within a span of 5 seconds... Harvin then leaves game because of a migraine headache due to a broken fingernail... when Harvin arrives in the locker room he starts a fight with Mark Sanchez (who shows up every game to plead for his job back) ...Harvins boo boos put him on the bench for the rest of the season until he is traded to the CFL in exchange for a pound of canadian back bacon.. Canadian newspapers proclaim that Rex Ryan is a masterfully shrewd negotiator... CFL fans agree. In the second half Michael "beat a dog with a stick" Vick is 9 of 45 for -50 yards and sacked 26 times... but is still named the Jets starting Quarter Back over Greeno Smith ... Jets fans agree After the blow out loss to the Bills, Rex "foot sex" Ryan gets a migraine headache of his own because his defense was made to look like five year old school girls by Sammy Watkins and Bryce Brown... in the post game news conference Rex asks Doug Moron if they could switch teams for the remainder of the season... Doug thinks about the offer for a few days because... well lets face it... Doug Marrone isnt very smart... but Rex Ryans decides to stay with the Jets because his new Geno Smith tattoo could still pass as a Michael Vick tattoo... A week later Doug Marrone is forced by Terry Pegula to remove his EJ Manuel tattoo... Buffalo fans agree.
  8. I probably would have voted for Harvin but I wonder if he's not a little too fragile for punts. He was so good at kick offs that punt returning must be a big problem or he would have done it before. I voted Williams.
  9. It's Rex's call. No question. He IS the head coach. The buck stops at Rex. Rex isn't giving input, he's receiving it and if he's good he will probably realize that the input he is receiving is more valuable than the input he might give.
  10. Yep, He's just too good to let go for less. That said I don't know what the remainder of his contract is like, how much value is there for another team? I'd love to stock up on some cheap talent with an extra first.
  11. I kind of think your right. But I've been thinking that for awhile and at a certain point I just assumed I was crazy, like when he said EJ would play with the 3s (which didn't exactly happen, most of his work came with the twos). I also think Rex really wants Taylor, and I think his performance against the Browns did a lot for him. No way is the media in on it though. But the Bills can do a lot to manipulate the media. I'm sure you know what Kim does.
  12. I think the buck stops at Rex, offense or not.Obviously he needs to trust his oc
  13. Think we might see if anyone actually wanted Goodwin, hogan, brown, whoever the staff feels the third qb is, thigpen, easely,. But I'm not sure how much anybody really cares . . .
  14. My other is that Meh is a known equation and we need to make a decision. We've seen him with the first team, we've seen a ton of film starting in the nfl. We've seen him all training camp. It's not great, its just meh. Could he start? sure. Could he get cut? Yep, but it would take a lot more strong performances from our other qbs.
  15. Exactly, extensions often come with a discount too. There's a huge difference between the lions situation and the bills and that does effect value. I think MT really is just upset because he thinks the bills are saying he's not the best at his position with their offer. One big problem is that the only reason to sign him to an extension is to keep him happy and that doesn't sound like that is going to happen easily . . .
  16. That's really not surprising. I think there's two big factors in that number being low. One is that NFL players are just trained not to say anything bad about the league or teams or players or anything. With so much of what they say getting blown way out of proportion its not surprising that many players just play it safe. The other is where do you draw the line at cheating? I think players are much less likely to use that word because so much behavior that is against the rules is part of the game. If you know other teams are trying to record you, do you consider that behavior cheating? If you know a player is going to hold you is that behavior cheating? Are using PEDs cheating? I think players are less likely to answer in the affirmative.
  17. I read Jackson thought he was all good, just waiting to be cleared. No idea if they would play him if he is cleared. I just had the sense that he was ready and waiting.
  18. Seems like there's a reasonable chance Woods and Jackson will play. That seems pretty reasonable for any given week in the NFL.
  19. I think its hilarious. If you can't tell that he's joking I wonder how much your paying attention.
