  1. Yep, He's just too good to let go for less. That said I don't know what the remainder of his contract is like, how much value is there for another team? I'd love to stock up on some cheap talent with an extra first.
  2. I kind of think your right. But I've been thinking that for awhile and at a certain point I just assumed I was crazy, like when he said EJ would play with the 3s (which didn't exactly happen, most of his work came with the twos). I also think Rex really wants Taylor, and I think his performance against the Browns did a lot for him. No way is the media in on it though. But the Bills can do a lot to manipulate the media. I'm sure you know what Kim does.
  3. I think the buck stops at Rex, offense or not.Obviously he needs to trust his oc
  4. Think we might see if anyone actually wanted Goodwin, hogan, brown, whoever the staff feels the third qb is, thigpen, easely,. But I'm not sure how much anybody really cares . . .
  5. My other is that Meh is a known equation and we need to make a decision. We've seen him with the first team, we've seen a ton of film starting in the nfl. We've seen him all training camp. It's not great, its just meh. Could he start? sure. Could he get cut? Yep, but it would take a lot more strong performances from our other qbs.
  6. Exactly, extensions often come with a discount too. There's a huge difference between the lions situation and the bills and that does effect value. I think MT really is just upset because he thinks the bills are saying he's not the best at his position with their offer. One big problem is that the only reason to sign him to an extension is to keep him happy and that doesn't sound like that is going to happen easily . . .
  7. Don't forget the barrel we put them over this offseason
  8. That's really not surprising. I think there's two big factors in that number being low. One is that NFL players are just trained not to say anything bad about the league or teams or players or anything. With so much of what they say getting blown way out of proportion its not surprising that many players just play it safe. The other is where do you draw the line at cheating? I think players are much less likely to use that word because so much behavior that is against the rules is part of the game. If you know other teams are trying to record you, do you consider that behavior cheating? If you know a player is going to hold you is that behavior cheating? Are using PEDs cheating? I think players are less likely to answer in the affirmative.
  9. I read Jackson thought he was all good, just waiting to be cleared. No idea if they would play him if he is cleared. I just had the sense that he was ready and waiting.
  10. Seems like there's a reasonable chance Woods and Jackson will play. That seems pretty reasonable for any given week in the NFL.
  11. Chicken little made me smile every time I saw it
  12. I think its hilarious. If you can't tell that he's joking I wonder how much your paying attention.
  13. I don't understand anyone who doesn't think we got our money's worth out of Spiller. 5 year $25 million contract, seems like a steel for his production. I was sad we lost him, but hopefully not for too long if mccoy hits near expectations.
  14. He watched the bad throw over and over until what he saw lined up with what he wanted to see. I think that aside from saying Taylor and Manuel played well its hard to judge their performances especially against each other when they were with the 2s and 3s. Obviously we saw the drops with the 3s but I think some of those deep balls Taylor put out there would have been caught by Woods or Watkins. I wonder how much that would change peoples impression that he's running too much and not a pocket QB who defenses are gonna stack.
  15. Your right! I think one big difference this year is that the players really have high expectations for themselves and the team too. I think when you know your team is not great, you might not believe that your gonna pull it out in a tough game, or maybe some players will think about things just a little bit more selfishly. I think they've all got a bit of a chip too b/c they don't have a good/proven qb and all anyone in the national media is telling them is they would be lucky to make the playoffs. That would burn me up if people kept telling me it doesn't matter how good you are, you don't throw the ball.
  16. exactly, and it wouldn't be Dixon we need him as backup FB it would be Williams. There's only so much trust you can give a guy. Honestly was anyone thinking anything besides DON'T FUMBLE every time he got hit. I was honestly hoping he would just do a QB slide when he knew he was going down.
  17. Sometimes I think about what it would be like, after all this excitment, to be really really terrible. Like 1-15 terrible. I don't think it would make my top 5 bills disapointements. If this were to happen I know where the win would be, so as to extend the excitement as much as possible. Week two blowout agaist the pats** with brady playing. Probably wouldn't be until week 6 that we figured it out.
  18. All that cautiously optimistic stuff is garbage. Super bowl or bust!
  19. lol no I'm sure they're just sleeping a little easier.
  20. What? you don't like NFL reporting?
  21. We never went all in on ej. We've always been looking for another qb to compete for the number one spot.
  22. This. IMO Cassel is starting because he didn't do well in the scrimmage, and didn't get as many throws. Its do or die time for him, and he's being given a whole week to prep just like he would in the reg. season.
