  1. This year I think they are doing less Allen film and adding other players. They did offense and defense specific ones for Miami. Still covered Josh, but had me excited for WFT because the offense was 4/4 in the red zone against Fins. Allen struggled in the middle of the field but got the job done when its most important.
  2. Why does it make 0 sense? It could be a logical fallacy but it seems logical that if the defense is playing well then Edmunds is. See cover 1 for video evidence to back up the claims of good in coverage. EDIT: below is video breakdown from Broncos last year. most of coverage this year has been to the twitter which i def dont know how to work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNB2n8QTfWA&t=467s
  3. Didnt they say red zone snaps? So thats just scoring on the first play every time? 50 redzone trips doesnt make sense to me, but the also those numbers you gave for seattle dont make a ton of sense either (got into FG range after coming up short on 3rd down?)
  4. No anthony has been trying to make it happen all offseason. I'm on board as a way to make him part of our team and not just a journey man. (think its sands but it sorta fades at the end.) 12 pressures is a lot. Allen had elite pocket mobility this week which prevented sacks. Allen was hitting off platform throws like last year too.
  5. Counter point, they are turning after a 1st round QB and a lot of UFA spending. Not unfair of them to expect better results than last year. But I think we agree this couldnt happen to a better fan base.
  6. Been watching these for years (since Josh was a rook) and they have been very much worth it.
  7. Yeah I heard Ford had 12 pressures allowed. He had Payne most game and he’s a handful for sure, but still gotta do better. I thought they were going iOL early anyway. I’m not sure one of mongo or Morse is here next year.
  8. Do you mean cash, salary, or cap hit? For 2022 he’s currently listed as 10th highest cap hit for ILB on spotrac. Do we need to lower hit if he is 10th in terms of cap? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2022/cap-hit/inside-linebacker/
  9. Yes by my limited understanding
  10. I think its almost all the loss. I see 104 million lost on forbes and 7 mil per game at another site. Thats 56-104 mil. https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2020/05/18/the-stadium-revenue-each-nfl-team-will-lose-if-games-are-played-without-fans/?sh=1a6417a4691a (figure at bottom) https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/062515/how-nfl-makes-money.asp (half way down they discuss money per event). Edit: Math in the second one didnt add up. I got it closer to 80. So yeah most of it was ticket loss.
  11. Spot trac has him as the 10th highest in 2022. So wow thats pretty reasonable if you think hes at number 10 like most of the board (and many posters). https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2022/inside-linebacker/cap-hit/
  12. there are three votes for pro bowl. coaches, players, fans. he did not get in by the fans (see: this board as evidence). So thats providing player and coaches (not fans) as evidence. I thought we didnt like PFF grades, but if thats how you lean then you must agree Tre White was the 19th best corner in 2019. Missed tackle percentage is a problem but also a problem for the whole defense outside Levi Wallace. Edit: his missed tackle percentage for 2020 was 9.4%. This is just on the wrong side of average (still within 1 SD I assume), so more average than bad. Again McD defenses here have been notoriously bad at tackling.
  13. Youre not really debating the merits of your point though. He's been to pro bowls (clearly not by fan vote), 3x captain, voted in top 10 at position. these all counter you position of "bad." How do you respond to these points (@alphadawg7 is probably frustrated because you seem to ignore them)? Do you have evidence to support your position of why hes bad? Do you have replacements that you seemed sure the bills would select in the draft? Please add value to the convo.
  14. Based on the schedule we will have played the same number of games. I get that we played a team we wouldnt have but whats more important is number of games which will be the same. Edit: you mention wear and tear above, thats dependent on number of games not if it was a team you wouldnt have played before
  15. For Stephenson? Maybe. I think the injury made it easier to stash him on the PS. Who wants to put an injured 6th round pick on their roster.
  16. I feel very confident beane has a path for keeping all these players (Dawkins and Poyer have been extended already) whether it includes edmunds or not.
  17. Would like some data. However, I am arguing there are things about Edmunds we’re not seeing; though I am using facts to support. I wait for PFF up to come up with a metric 😅
  18. I just don’t know that this can be proven. Is there anything to support. All the other data suggests it’s random.
  19. Think they are talking about fumble recovery which is random by my understanding. Don’t know that anyone has metrics on recovering fumbles relative to opportunities. But which team gets it is pretty much 50/50
  20. Chips in balls. They can put them in our vaccines (joke).
  21. Certainly got some things to work on. Again I have no clue on his valuation but the point I want to make is that he’s doing things well that are not obvious to us fans. This sorta doesn’t make sense. If you don’t pick up his 5th year you have to make a decision about his future after this year. By picking his 5th year up you get an extra year to evaluate. You don’t pick up the 5th year if you’ve seen enough and you don’t want to re-sign (sounds like where you are at). Some do re-sign but I think the majority don’t. Beane did NOT make any long term decisions about his future. He just gave himself more time to evaluate. the draft is super unlikely to give you similar performance and I also think a UFA would be pretty pricey (12 mil probably) for a top 10 mlb. I just don’t see them moving on from a three year captain, 2x pro bowler, ranked in top 10 at position by peers when they could get an extra year of team control. in conclusion yes it’s pretty crazy to call picking up the 5th year a mistake. It’s probably the least crazy thing on my list but sounds like you believe some of the other items on my list.
  22. That recovery is after a missed tackle so.... (also its a recovery not a forced fumble) There is so much confirmation bias in this thread its crazy. I have no idea how the front office will value Edmunds when it comes to a new contract, but talk about a mistake to pick up his 5th, he makes the defense worse, he can't play football, we would much better without him are all just not based in the real world.
  23. I think McBeane care. To point number 2 Poyer and Hyde are both getting long in the tooth. The defense may have other leaders, but Edmunds has worn the C longer than any other on that side of the ball.
