Ed O A Pipe Dream or a Dream Team Position Change ?
Trogdor replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think this is true. He and Phillips could be great as a duo. Ed is so fast off the line and creates havoc that other players can exploit. A space eater probably won't benefit from that as much. This is kind of the same story with Shaq who can set the edge and collapse, but probably won't get the sack himself. The rotation isn't working that well imo. Teams exploit it when we get our 2nd or worse string guys out there. I'm a sucker for the 2014 pin their ears back best 4 though. -
It's easy to think about that game as a coming out, but he didn't even reach 200yds passing and had 235 total. He also fumbled 3 times, but luckily none were lost or it might have been a different story. We really hit them at the right time when they were getting blown out. I think the shock of beating the Vikings has really made most of us look at that game differently.

Buffalo currently ranks 17th in pass attempts per game. 13 Carolina 35.6 14 Miami 35.4 15 Green Bay 35.4 16 Houston 34.4 17 Buffalo 34.1 18 Dallas 34.0 19 Philadelphia 33.8 20 Jacksonville 33.5 Out of the other teams around us, only Kyle Allen and Fitz have failed to hit 300 so far. Allen only broke 300 twice in college, including only once his Junior year when he had 3 current NFL players and Gentry who had time on the active roster for the Bears. That's pretty stacked for that conference. Honestly, I'm more interested in the games where Allen throws for under 200. He seems to really suck against middle of the road to good defenses. Fingers crossed that he turns it around and at least hits a better level of turnover/td ratio.

They are going to be a powerhouse if guys keep returning. I'm just pointing out that we saw them maybe not at the weakest, but pretty close.
-
He had one good season and since then has been banged up or ineffective. That is the largest dumpster fire of an O-line, but I'm not sure you can take the risk that it's not him. They could've kept Shady if they really needed a running back to spice up the offense.

The lack of Singletary is mind boggling. They run Allen like Tebow instead. Also, where is Sweeney? Why is Lee still given the opportunity to turn out penalties?
-
They put themselves in hell with their cuts. We aren't the first team to be up against the cap. I also don't think we have a franchise QB now. I just don't see it the same way as others and that's fair.
-
We played an insanely injured Philliy team. They've had spans of no tackling at practice over fear that they might get worse. They will struggle to beat any good teams as banged up as they are. Made me wish for Darby opposite White though. Worst trade that we made.

How many does he get to hire. Their failure is his responsibility too. Other teams have managed faster rebuilds. Complete teardowns might turn out to be a mistake. I don't think he loses his job, but I think some of that is because of the schedule.

Bills 13, Eagles 31 postgame thread

They made it that way though. I don't think you get points for making something horrible and then not even getting it back to where it was. He shouldn't have hired his buddy with a shoddy record. -
538's Current Projections (Bills finish at 11-5)

You mean that the majority make decisions like it's intended. It's mostly a problem because of the two party system we have. Still better than parliament, I just disagree that it works as intended. -

Texas and Florida are more populated than NY and that alone defeats your argument. More than twice as many people live in NYC now than lived in the US during the first census. The system was designed for a much smaller country and it hasn't scaled well. Regardless, op showed the proof that they were the most accurate site when predicting the election. They even pointed out polling problems that were huge in what happened. I think they probably give too much credit to NE though. We will see after Houston. -
I’m just going to come out and say it - this is the year

It's going to be turnovers in the end. We're 1-6 when he has multiple turnovers. 8-1 in 1 turnover or less games and 8-0 if he scores a TD in those games. -
I find it hard to believe that Whaley had no part in this. He was amazing with Pro-personnel and had a lot of solid finds. IMHO Bills fans generally try to find a way to downplay anything Whaley touched. I think he did a really good job for a guy that never got to pick his coach and was constantly having to cater to a new scheme. The lack of QB killed him, but we have had good defenses multiple times.
-
1 or less and at least 1 TD they are 8-0. 1-6 in games where he turns the ball over more than once. That means that he has had multiple turnovers in 7 of 16 games that he has started. He has been very lucky on fumbles so far or that might be a different stat. It's very clear what needs to happen for this team to win. I just don't want to see another wild card game like the last one. After Miami we will have played the 30th, 31st, and 32nd ranked defenses, so eventually something has to click.

Did you watch Jordan's games? That's a bad analogy. Maybe LeBron treatment is closer.

I feel like every week the All-22 comes out and proves that WRs were open. It's possible that he is just bad at deep throws. A strong arm isn't the only thing you need to be good at it.

A Few Thoughts about the Titans Game, in no particular order

Even Colton Schmidt was superior in placement. He also didn't fumble snaps, mess up holds on kicks, or shank nearly as often. -

Yeldon sits down in space when he stops there. I don't think that pass is to him either way. I don't like Yeldon, but I think maybe people are looking for a scape goat. -

I definitely didn't complete that thought when I wrote it out. My mistake and thanks for pointing it out. I was talking about towards the end with this Bills. His last year as a Bill he gave up 11.5 sacks. He looked terrible after requesting all those pay raises. -
The previous point was that he didn't get time to build up, that's what the then is for. Try reading it twice before fan boying on every single post. He looked like ***** and we didn't need an All-22 to see, but most of us appreciate the breakdown. He was actually very kind in attributing a lot of that to Daboll. Also, Ford looks ok at RG. He isn't the best we have there and that kind of questions the draft round. They absolutely have to justify drafting someone that nobody else saw as a RT and trying to force him there repeatedly.

I don't know why you bother responding. He looked bad from the first snap he had. Throwing in stats from other games isn't going to sway anyone who actually watched this game. He is a turnover machine right now and doesn't score nearly enough TDs to negate that. You draft a franchise QB to not look bad in big moments or shrink against good competition, not just put up decent stats against bottom feeders.
