  1. 31-24 Bills
  2. ROAD TRIP!! Driving from Cincinnati (technically, Wyoming, OH) to Pittsburgh in the morning (last minute trip to see my mom). Watching the game with son and possibly daughter at my sister's house while they are away - Will be strange watching the game at someone else's house - Luckily they have a big screen, although smaller than the crazy, projector-based TV we inherited at our place in Cincy.
  3. Living in Cincy (mostly) and being from Buffalo and a diehard Bills fan, that would be amazing! Go Bills!
  4. Earlier this year, I might agree with you. But in the last 2-3 games, I'd argue that our offense has been clicking and able to score a lot of points (through the air but also on the ground). We have the sort of team that can handle a run-first, eat clock sort of team. If we get ahead, Colts are not really built to catch up quickly. But the reverse isn't true: We are built to score a lot of points in a hurry. Sure, there are factors like weather, injuries, Covid, etc., but as things are right now, I think we'd handle the Colts in close one.
  5. On O: Singletary, Davis and Diggs with J Allen honorable mention (and Haack for another flawless game - must be extremely rare to have two punt-less games in a row!).
  6. By midnight on Monday, we'll have a much clearer picture and it will be easier to say if X (and Y) happens, we'll play Z at home, etc. A bit too complicated with two weeks left to figure it out.
  7. Maybe these two things have been mentioned before, but I'm surprised Matt Stafford is so high on the list and Fitz-magic, 9 teams (that's practically 1/3 of the entire league)!!
  8. Totally agree - Even against very good defenses, our offense has been able to get rolling. That's why I felt good about the Pats* rematch.
  9. Assuming no major COVID news/swings and decent weather, I like the Bills in this contest. The second half of the Tampa game, and most of the Carolina game, showed that our offense can get rolling against a top-tier defense. Why do we think the Pats are any different? So a key to my thinking is that the Bills at some point will start rolling and scoring TDs. And we have the sort of defense to hold them in check. They don't have the sort of offense to score a lot of points quickly. Given the above, I'm thinking something like 30-17 or 30-21 Bills.
  10. Saw an article that said punter a possibility or backup QB that kicked in high school!
  11. Such a strange year - Sounds like a non-COVID fluky thing could have a real impact on the game! GO BILLS!!
  12. I will be at the Cincy game for sure!! And maybe Vegas if played there. Thanks for sharing
  13. This is an important game, no doubt, but as others have posted, we aren't nearly out of it if we lose. To me, this feels like either a close one or we get blown out. I don't see us blowing them out. I like the fact that we're desperate and have basically shot ourselves in the foot re most of our losses (so that's within our control). I also like the favorable weather conditions. I don't understand why the line is low as it is - Bucs -7/8 seems about right to me. Hope we have the "balls out"/leave absolutely nothing on the table/take no prisoners/scorched earth approach to this game! GO BILLS! We win 34-31 in a thriller!
  14. You're wrong (50/50 coin toss was an intentional oversimplification) but oh well. No worries. And of course I think we all would like their streak to end!! GO BILLS!
  15. I am a huge Bills fan and am pumped for this game (and think we'll win despite my PTSD) but think your logic about streaks is flawed. It's the classic "gambler's fallacy" to think that if, e.g., I flip 5 heads in a row I'm more likely to flip tails on the 6th flip. If we also assume for ease of discussion that every Pats* game were a coin flip, winning 6 in a row is (1/2)^6 likely = 1/64 or less than 2%. But each of those games, and the 7th game, is still only 50/50 by assumption. It's only when we look back at the streak that we can say, wow, winning 6 in a row is pretty unlikely!! Of course, if the Pats were more than 50/50 to win some of those games, the chances of winning 6 in a row is more than ~2%.
  16. Re the Ravens, the basic story is what it has always been: L Jackson is a much better Tyrod Taylor, which is not a recipe for hoisting the Lombardy. I also hope he fully recovers from the concussion and love that we have again raised a lot of $$ for a worthy cause.
  17. I'm thinking something along those lines too - A blowout of sorts, which for us is something like 34-17 Bills. That said, weather will be a factor, so maybe shave some points off each team. I am hoping we see the defense we saw second half of Jests game.
  18. Drive with kids back from Pittsburgh to Cincy Watch game on very large projection screen TV with family (and especially with my 9-yr old who has become a serious fan). Continue my very odd tradition this year of doing a pushup and situp for every point we score//10 air squats per sack//20 air squats per Bills' turnover. Drink some beer and/or scotch throughout
  19. Extremely well articulated and thoughtful post/article. Thank you! GO BILLS!!
  20. Here's what I think's going on with both players: Tyrod: Why play him in meaningless game with the huge risk of injury (and possible large payment)? It's a sound move regardless of how strongly they feel about his play or how they might address his option EJ: If anything, this is a tryout for the backup QB role, not starter - From that perspective, it makes perfect sense - One last look to decide whether we should retain him for no. 2 or 3
  21. My sister lives in upper st Clair. So I've got that going for me, which is nice!
  22. I am thankful that most of you aren't A-H@les and that there are folks out there to share in the ups and downs of being a Bills fan. I really have too many things to be thankful for, honestly, and just hope that others are as lucky as I am. Have a terrific Thanksgiving and holiday season and GO BILLS!
  23. 135 rushing + 65 penalty = 200. Thx! Good luck!
  24. Besides injuries, I do think playing an undefeated team has a slightly different feel than one which has lost one. They'll be tough no matter what. I'm torn between having the chance to break their unbeaten streak (an extra plus if we somehow pull off the upset) vs. having them drop a game before us (unless game directly impacts us playoffs wise, I prefer that they lose). On balance, though, I think I'd prefer them to be undefeated when we go to Gillette.
