  1. Have you looked at the per game numbers? Totals might obscure the truth given that more games are played now in the regular season than in the recent past.
  2. My son is selling some sort of Funko Pop thing on ebay right now. I am clueless, but it seems to be a miniature figurine sort of thing (his is Gravity Falls/Dipper Pines whatever that is) Hobbies: Skiing, walking, hiking, fishing, coin collecting, platform tennis, poker (and unsuccessfully trying to learn how to play acoustic guitar).
  3. For f@ck's sake, you guys are all a bunch of ferries! Not that there's anything wrong with that!
  4. We lost the last playoff game we played last year for 4-5 main reasons, of which injuries were one. We did the same 4th and short play over and over, so we were too predictable. We didn't adjust well enough to their key plays. We were on the wrong end of some calls. Keeping Cook out of our final drive also wasn't ideal. These are from memory but injuries, while important, were not the only problem. That said, injury to Benford was a big factor in the loss for sure!
  5. Did you guys hear that he went to Yale? : )
  6. Is it unusual that 6 of the top 10 have first names starting with "J"?! In all seriousness, top 10 list seems fine - I'd maybe put Herbert lower and CJ higher (in top 10)
  7. Good points and generally agree - There are also some new faces in the WR room this year whose targets/catches are difficult to predict. We'll see. Can't wait. Go Bills!
  8. 50 for Coleman and 55-60 for Kincaid (Knox will cannibalize his targets a bit, which might be a good thing). The ball will be spread around.
  9. Thanks so much! Thank you for your service!
  10. Hey, how were you able to input the information re being a veteran? As an existing subscriber, I didn't see any way to enter info re being a veteran, teacher, etc. Thanks!
  11. This is a good start - Maybe also ban the mining of personal data that optimizes the amount a person gambles and also marketing tactics designed toward putting people on the path toward addiction? I was playing live poker at a casino recently and the person to my immediate right was on his phone the whole time sports betting - He wasn't even remotely engaged in the poker game at hand. It's the 24/7 remote/internet access to sports betting that's really scary. I used to play poker online but eventually stopped because it was so depressing and boring.
  12. There are a whole bunch of terms and jargon in the antitrust law and economics space (I am an economist who consults on antitrust issues in mergers and antitrust litigation, among other things). Generally, people don't say amongst themselves "let's collude!" and it's even rare for people to explicitly collude (think of a smoke filled room where business leaders in an industry agree to set prices or divide territories/customers). And as someone noted, a league is a different sort of animal than Coke vs. Pepsi. The league I am sure has argued over the years that they have rules in place to make sure there is in theory a level playing field among teams and that the real competition they face is other forms of entertainment, such as college football, etc. Here, the issue is monopsony (basically, monopoly from the standpoint of a buyer rather than a seller) which is the power to decrease wages or other terms as a buyer of labor . . . Sorry for the digression . . .
  13. I don't disagree with you at all. Just pointing out that certain stats tend to favor current players and can be misleading. Not taking anything away from Josh. I think if he retired tomorrow, he'd still have an excellent chance of getting into the hall. If he continues to play at current level for several more years, then it's not even a debate (SB(s) or not).
  14. My only quibble with alot of the above is that they play more games now that in the past, so "first 7 seasons" stats are skewed in favor of current players. I believe Allen is better than Kelly, but Kelly played fewer games per season (no fault of his own) so he is handicapped vs. Allen.
  15. House seems pretty classy and not ostentatious - I approve!
  16. I am stunned there has been NO discussion of Hailee's dress and potential floral arrangements - Come on, folks, get your priorities straight!
  17. The first game of the season can be more of a crapshoot than later in the season, but I don't think that necessarily favors one team over the other. This game is similar to playing KC in that we've played them so much recently it feels almost like a divisional game. A bit concerned that Henry will be fresh since it's the start of the season, but I suppose our guys will be fresh too! Should be an excellent game. Go Bills!
  18. And I guess you are not an English professor . . . : )
  19. By the same token, if it does come down to the last few minutes in a tight game, maybe we'll be in a better position to get that one key stop on defense? One can hope! I agree past history isn't very encouraging but we did seem to really load up on D this draft.
  20. I can totally understand this line of thinking and am sympathetic to it and concerned about it as well. But my hope is that we've made enough incremental improvements on D (including a speedy CB) that it won't come down to needing to score ourselves at the end. Many factors explain why we lost to KC - Sure there were offensive reasons but make no mistake, when Benford went out and Elam came in, that was a huge factor/issue.
  21. Less than 0.00000000000000000000000000000001 of a QB
  22. If you have 2 QBs, you have none - If you have 4 QBs, you have none + none = none!
  23. TheWei44

    RIP flaz

RIP (didn't know him at all but feel like I do now, a bit, from the obit) - Clearly one of us.
  24. Sell it to Tre!
  25. Upstanding citizen . . . on the Chiefs roster!
