Such a difficult game to predict - Almost anything is possible, including a Bills blowout. I think the home crowd, weather, Bills record at home, playoff Josh tip the scale modestly in our favor. Not sure why you're getting so deeply into a discussion of draft picks/Beane's decisions/defensive line hits and misses in a thread supposedly focused on the Bills Ravens game. Whenever the offseason starts, we'll all have literally months and months to do this thoroughly!! Why now, my friend, when you likely know it's going to piss a lot of people off and is going astray from the main purpose of this thread IMHO?

But it should be closely related to the betting public's perception of who is going to win - If goal is to have 50% on each side of the bet, the line needs to be just right to convince folks on both sides that it's a reasonable bet. I'm not a sport bettor, so maybe I have this wrong, but I've always viewed the betting lines as something close to the true line (and the betting lines are often very similar to the non-betting lines like they show on ESPN NFL website).

I would definitely defer if possible unless extenuating circumstances. The crowd will be going nuts and maybe we get an early stop and set the tone? Even if they score (e.g., Broncos game), it's not the end of the world.

2 hours until game time - Let's do this! We have the horses to knock the crap out of the donkeys. Just play soundly on both sides of the ball and special teams - We are by and large a team of a lot of good/very good players that are not household names, hence not tons of accolades but who cares about that? If that can be used as extra motivation, great, but no one has beaten us in our house this year and that will continue today. Punch them in the mouth and then punch them in the mouth harder! Never relent and always go all out and crush them!! LFG!! Go Bills!!

Over our kids' winter break, we spent time in Palm Springs and then Hollywood Hills and visited the Santa Monica Pier, etc. First time spending any significant amount of time in So CA. Totally agree - Should be a league-wide hold on all head coaching interviews until after the Super Bowl. Wouldn't teams want to see how everyone does throughout the playoffs anyway?

I think we were half heartedly trying to win but also making decisions based on individual incentives/bonuses that often happened to be sort of anti-winning (e.g., punt instead of FG). The implicit message to the 2nd/3rd stringers was probably to play smart and safe and not go all out or anything like that.

And also I like how the Steelers made a game of it last night and almost pulled out a win. Let's hope for a very physical bloodbath!

Agree - If he makes some impact plays in the playoffs, and we go deep, he could be back at the right price.
