  1. I can see what you're saying, but I just doubt Tua has a string of nearly perfect games in him this year. And he's one hit away from maybe being in concussion protocol.
  2. I admittedly underestimated what a Tua-led offense could do last week - This week is a lot different - A QB who is a worse version of A Rodgers (lacks mobility but can make some throws and has tons of experience); a running attack that is likely a step down from last week's; a DL that is maybe a hair better, especially on the interior. Just stop the run and get after Flacco. We should be good - Maybe not a blowout but a comfortable win assuming we get some key guys back like Cooper and Benford.
  3. If everybody eats, this dude is starving!! Like surviving on crumbs and a stale, moldy slice of bread once in awhile.
  4. But he dropped an easy catch - No way Davis (or Johnson) drops that catch. They're a good 1-2-3 (?) punch but I think we've seen enough to conclude Cook does not have great hands. He offers alot in other dimensions, though, thankfully.
  5. And if Cook doesn't drop an easy catch . . . Josh had a very good game overall.
  6. and we'll have the bye prior to SF. We'll see.
  7. I'd book Lions as a loss, but we'll win one or both of KC and 49ers playing at home . . . hopefully!
  8. Thanks for sharing the intel - Totally sucks for him and the team!!
  9. I'll be there too so also interested in what's going on pre-game.
  10. So cool to see that given my kids go to Wyoming H.S. here is Cincinnati (and they are the Wyoming Cowboys too)!! And of course my son dressed up as Josh for Halloween . . .
  11. Go Bills! I agree Fish are desperate and will throw everything at us but c'mon, what does that really mean with all their injuries and a QB that must get rid of the ball quickly for his own health? We are the better team, we're playing at home, we're healthier - Any given Sunday is true, but I'll be shocked if we don't win by 10+ today. Go Bills!
  12. Being healthy, rest, and home field are all important but probably ranked in that order (healthy being the most important and also somewhat correlated to rest/resting players, of course). That said, I wouldn't say home field is meaningless or irrelevant. We generally have better results at home vs. away, and I get the sense noise impacts Josh perhaps a bit more than other QBs.
  13. On defense, Groot (honorable mention to Von) and on offense, Cook.
  14. I understand the comparisons to Beasley, but I think Shakir is much, much better - Beasley was great with clutch catches, finding soft spots in the zone, moving the chains, tough as nails (especially for his size), but offered very little YAC IIRC. Shakir shares some of those valuable traits, but he is so much more explosive/dangerous after he catches the ball.
  15. Unlikely but possible we get the #1 seed (win the next three and let's talk then!). But as others have said, rest at the end of the regular season is critical, so having division/seeding locked up before Week 18 would be pretty awesome too!
  16. True, there's no "bad" outcome. And a tie would be perfect!
  17. Why are we assuming the benching will last more than one week? It probably will but who knows?
  18. Totally agree - And Fitz is a family guy who raised kids in Buffalo. A much, much deeper connection to the city than Diggs will ever have.
  19. Tops Never Stops!
  20. Cooper on offense (honorable mention to Davis) and Groot on defense. Go Bills!
  21. They are different style runners with different physical attributes - I don't expect Cook to slam into defenders and muscle his way through them. So I think McGovern's quote is a nothing burger. Plus it's OK to pay someone a compliment without any ulterior motive or implications for others.
  22. And the Chiefs have won some rings coming out of a weak division - Maybe an easier path to the playoffs isn't such a bad thing (better seeding, rest key players late in season).
