  1. Slow start for sure but the bulk of this post, and its tone, sounds like you don't take much solace in the final score of this game, which indicates it was a thrashing. And the "full game" body of work was rather outstanding taken as a whole. The score reflects the better team imposing its will on an inferior team. Come on, man - Be happier!
  2. totally agree - also a contract year so who knows
  3. And also let's see how "late season" Diggs looks - Curious whether it was mostly scheme here or injuries/apathy
  4. It's only long when the lake effect snow is in full force!
  5. The trade speaks volumes about how our potential is viewed THIS YEAR. Shakir dinged up and our pre-Cooper stable of WRs left obvious room for improvement but it's not like we had to swing a big trade. So we go out and get a guy of similar caliber to Diggs minus the drama. Von coming back in 3 weeks, Milano possibly late in the season. Cooper should be fully acclimated by the time we hit the really tough games like KC and SF. PLUS we get the bonus of a Cooper test drive for the rest of this year.
  6. Such a bad move - It's like getting a Ferrari with a history of repairs when you only have half of a garage . . .
  7. Respectfully disagree - Context matters and Rogers is not very mobile, and we were getting to him with pressure. And as you said, there was a sea of blue in EZ - There still would have been a lot of blue down there even if we rushed a couple more guys. We'll never know how it would have played out, but I like our chances a lot more not giving him an automatic shot to the EZ.
  8. In that same interview, he basically said we needed to knock the ball down in the end zone - This is key because he views the result as a lack of execution by the players rather than a huge gaffe by him and/or the defensive coordinator!! Blitz or at least have 4/5 guys on the line rushing the passer - Way, way too conservative and dumb in a key moment of the game. Totally unrelated to the above, I agree with the game balls per the other thread but also want to note that Samuel got going a bit and also Knox, so some signs of life from some of our quieter offensive players. While unwatchable at times due to penalties, it was a satisfying win in my book with a lot of great plays!
  9. Get a lead and hammer the crap out of Rodgers - Simple!!
  10. Agreed - Think I'd like to see a pass for our first offensive play of the game (short/simple).
  11. Johnson on O and Carter on D (i.e., I'm going with the presidential names!)
  12. That's actually my biggest concern for Monday night: Will Josh get abused to the point where it threatens this season (and beyond)? In a way, for different reasons, both teams' fans should be very worried about the health of their QBs Monday night.
  13. Anything can happen but I expect a relatively low-scoring slugfest with a lot of big plays on defense by both teams. Concerned Allen won't get into a comfortable groove. But the Jets aren't a very good team overall. So I'm going with Bills 23 Jets 16 [lots of field goals!]
  14. He has every right not to share the details of his health with the world.
  15. He came extremely close to throwing one or two against Houston - He/we got very lucky.
  16. And he should rightfully be pissed off at the coaches for putting him in that position - A lot of woe can be traced back to that one play!
  17. When you're throwing from your own end zone and facing a lot of pressure all day, I can understand not throwing deep balls b/c you risk a sack. And even a hand off running play could be risky (given we'd been stuffed a number of times). That's why at least one QB sneak (on first down) to burn time/force timeout would have been a good start. And maybe we gain 2-3 yards and get more breathing room? And then either another QB sneak or play action pass on 2nd down? And to be clear, my philosophy at that point in the game is to get to OT. We were on our own 3 yard line! No need to try to win the game from that spot/situation. No need to do anything fancy. Just try to move the ball a bit and either get a first down or at least kill clock//make them use multiple time outs.
  18. He's been so bad (in his rare opportunities). Very disappointed with his play. Thought he was supposed to be a dynamic playmaker? He's done nothing at all.
  19. OK, then don't play him at all. Just weird to me that the rare instances when he's in a play, it's a completely worthless play. And he doesn't look to have anything of value to add.
  20. Samuels, e.g., has been a complete disaster - He has had zero impact. He looks slow and crappy.
  21. If the Jets lose in the morning, I'll be much more relaxed for our game @ 1!
  22. Off: Cook; Def: Von - Oops, I meant Oliver, Oops, I meant T. Johnson, Oops, I really meant Rousseau?!?!
