  1. But did you hear that Brandt went to Princeton?!
  2. I'm sure that's true - Even now, I get more stressed watching my 12-yr old son play in a tennis tournament vs watching a nail-biter Bills game - Blood is indeed thicker than water for sure!
  3. Congrats on your son's graduation!! A big Bills win could make for a perfect weekend for you and your family!!
  4. He's healthy presumably and will be highly motivated to show he can still play at a high level - And he's a "safety blanket" kind of player for Josh. The more I chew on it, the more I like it. Little downside but plenty of upside.
  5. Interesting move - At a minimum, it'll shake up the WR locker room. Hope it doesn't create friction, but it obviously sends a message that the team is a meritocracy: you'll only see the field if you play competently. Go Bills! And I can quickly forget all the non-football BS
  6. I actually think the lack of time made it a more egregious error to not go for the 8 points in that spot. Not much time to get that close again - Need to trust the offense to get 1 or more yards there - And find out sooner than later whether the 2-pointer is going to work. I mean, the outcome of a L is highly likely no matter what but seems like a golden opportunity to go for the 8 points there was squandered.
  7. They're doing what it takes to win. Their mantra is to go "1-0" every week - That's the right mindset. Lots of positives yesterday, including no turnovers and minimal, if any, injuries. Defense was on fire and offense scored 20 (with crappy weather 1st half and against an elite D) and played conservatively at the end to protect the lead. And looking back at recent games, the Lions are a much better team than given credit for, and we played them at their house on a 4-game winning streak IIRC. All that said, complementary (notice the spelling) football will mean the O stepping up if the D lets a team like the Chiefs roll on O. So the concerns expressed about the recent O performance make sense in the context of a game like that. Go Bills!!
  8. Sloppy at times but no turnovers, pretty much no injuries on our side (which is huge!), and we won by 8 (partially due to prevent/conservative play calling at the end). Defense made tons of plays and literally beat the crap out of White (and frankly kudos to him - took a lot and kept playing - I'd take him as a backup any day). Josh's numbers look worse b/c of some drops and maybe a pass or two impacted by the weather. Objectively, a fairly solid win all around.
  9. The Jets can go FU@K themselves! GO BILLS!
  10. Kind of bugged me too (can't help it!) . . .
  11. My daughter (Kate) is now 14, and she texted me this on Wednesday during school: "Oh no I heard about von miller" - She's not even a huge fan but broke the news to me!
  12. Welcome to parenthood! I still remember cupping my hands to receive my daughter's puke - What a lovely experience!
  13. Not the end of the world but definitely sucks. He did help us beat the Chiefs e.g., which could assist us in getting the #1 seed. That, in turn, would give us a huge advantage in the playoffs. Plus, it seems like he's helped the progression of Groot and others. So my "glass half full" perspective is that he's already helped us a lot and we'll be fine . . . which may in fact be true!
  14. FWIW, my cousin is a die-hard Pats fan and goes to every home game - He texted me last night that he thinks the "Bills are going to crush us" - Hope he's right!
  15. Very big game for sure!! Huge swing for the good or bad if things line up just right . . . Let's get this one tonight and sit back and enjoy the other games this weekend!!
  16. O - Knox, both blocking and catching (honorable mention to Cook) D - Hard to pick one person, but I'll go with Oliver
  17. Much better THAN last time - Go CBS, I guess
  18. Von Miller Time!! On O (indulge me with another pick), Cook for sure!
  19. Cool chart! When Josh rolls to his right, he's deadly. And in general, he does very well on broken plays improvising. But this chart doesn't say we have the best QB in the NFL - It says we have the best QB under pressure in the NFL. And a QB around average with a clean pocket. If you trade off some under pressure success for some clean pocket success, he'd move toward Mahomes et al. So basically this chart is saying he's more "feast or famine", but on average, he is in the top small group of QBs. That's my interpretation, at least FWIW!
  20. Agree, I think the same play with Cook gives us the two points there.
  21. Totally agree - People kept saying all week "no heroball Josh" and "run the damn ball" and then when we do just that, there are some that are still displeased. Games was not perfect by any stretch, but tons of positives and the final score makes the game look closer than it was
  22. It was a solid win in my book with a final score that makes it look closer than it really was. Sure, we had a lot of field goals and the secondary gave up a lot of yards through the air BUT Josh had a decent, conservative, turnover free game, Cook really Cook-ed, Knox showed what he can do, Milano on fire, Poyer solid, etc. Add in the issues with the snow storm, and the win feels even better.
  23. Couldn't quite motivate my son to make the trip from Cincinnati - We were VERY close to joining you! Enjoy!
  24. Great dude (saw him last month - clearly I'm puny compared to him!!)
