  1. Ahh, memories of waking up thirsty in college! I kid, as far as you know.
  2. I think you are just trying to keep the IRS at bay. I don’t blame you.
  3. I’ve never seen more than a few minutes of The Shining, and that’s fine with me. (Just not my thing.) However, I’m looking at the photos and she seems like she’d be perfect for Popeye! It’s interesting how playing a role can define your legacy for so many. And those are some amazing roles. RIP
  4. Seeing this made me laugh! When we lived in Sarasota during those years we had a life size Mike Alstott cardboard cutout in the kids playroom upstairs. It just sat in a corner and it was hysterical when people would walk into the room and he would startle the %$#@ out of them! 😂 Hell, I knew he was there and even I would flinch! 😂 😂
  5. No, it’s just very complicated stuff, and the cost of not finding an optimal solution can be enormous. For the record, I don’t have any ill will toward them because they are billionaires. Good for them! I wouldn’t mind joining the club, as a matter of fact. However, money is far from everything. They have bigger bank accounts, but they are just people with more complicated pleasures and problems. .
  6. Remember when people told Terry Pegula he couldn’t make any money if he overpaid for the Bills at $1.4 Billion? He famously said something like “if I was trying to make money, I’d drill another oil well”, but I think this will turn out pretty OK for him and the generations to follow. That’s a big part of why some families are selling off a portion of ownership now, and not just in the NFL. There are some SERIOUS and COMPLICATED estate planning issues to be considered.
  7. Lynn Swan got in off of (mostly) one acrobatic catch in a Super Bowl. I know, different eras, but it sure helped to be a Steeler there.
  8. So, do we have a deal??? 🤷‍♂️
  9. I’ll give you $14 for your seat. And a beer. Deal?
  10. Kinda like….if we just win ONE? Those people will be greedy as hell at the next draft! 😂
  11. That is what they are trying to show us it seems, but that doesn’t make it false. As @Shaw66 mentioned, the roll over on the ground and catch drill looked odd, but it must help your core and it really has to sharpen your eyes and ball tracking. I saw a tennis player recently laying on the ground with someone swinging balls above their eyes to track with a still head to get them tracking and focused. I don’t care if it looks goofy, I just pray it helps! .
  12. Does Orchard Park High have a good team returning?
  13. Our family moved about 1/2 mile on the day of the blizzard. We sent the movers home with the job about 2/3 done so they didn’t get stranded with us. I was a senior in high school, with lots of time on my hands for me and all my friends….with a vacant but semi-furnished house at my disposal. It was easy for teenage kids to get there, but we knew we’d be left alone. That blizzard gave us some terrific memories!!! .
  14. ….and he does so rather indiscriminately, friend or foe matters little.
  15. ….and if he throws an interception to the other guy, the commentators can just chill out.
  16. Supply chain issues. They are just waiting for the orange slices to arrive before moving on to the next session.
  17. Ahhh, that explains it. I was thinking it was his effective age.
  18. From the beginning. I charge by the hour. 😋
  19. So…….YOU are that guy??? 😱
  20. Off topic, but “jack in the box” brought to mind a funny memory. I think it was our most recent game in Nashville, and there was a row of newbie Bills fans behind us all dressed up. They were there because it was in Nashville, and they wanted to see the town. I had to explain to them that we should shut the hell up when we were on offense, it wasn’t just about making as much noise as possible for 3-4 hours. Josh is trying to talk to our people. Ohhhh….. So, somehow he got into the habit of patting me on the head when something good happened. He was more drunk than I was, so I let it go. Eventually he said to me “Hey! Your hair is all wet!” I said, “I know! Every time you jump up like that you spill a little beer on me!” He looked very relieved when I laughed.
  21. I don’t know the answer to this, but I have to think the NFLPA protected the players from suffering if the owners have extraordinary expenses, like this lawsuit or the CTE settlement. It’s a percentage of gross revenue, I thought. But I wouldn’t be shocked if there is something that complicates this further. Again, I’m guessing that the players only get hurt if future revenue declines. This lawsuit does not come directly out of their pockets. The “old format” that got them in trouble is kind of going away (like it or not) in favor of multiple revenue sources from multiple streaming services to maximize revenue. It’s morphing into a different creature, and I’m sure the NFL has an army of attorneys ready to go to battle. One thing we know, some lawyers are going to get a bigger boat before this is all over.
  22. The salary cap is a percentage of revenue negotiated in the CBA with the NFLPA. I can’t see the players being willing to make any concessions for the sake of the owners. This sounds like an outside expense for the owners, or at least that’s the way it looks to me. Some owners can handle this more easily than others, and the league might need to be the safety net for some of the “poor teams”.
  23. The steep angle of the steps in the upper deck is my biggest concern about the new stadium. Some stadiums can be pretty treacherous. There’s nothing I can do about it, so I’ll just cross my fingers and wait.
  24. The first couple years we were building a team, and after that three out of four were against guys names Mahomes and Reid. They pretty much do that to everybody these days. I hope this year it’s our turn.
  25. What a tragedy. I remember the days when I might have been out at 3:14am. You don’t have to be the problem, just being out at that time can be dangerous, especially on a holiday weekend. RIP to all these young men and prayers to their loved ones. .
