Name one player you hope you are wrong about...
Augie replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Has OJ been mentioned yet? -
It’s one of those things that is so terribly sad. Guys lose wealth in all kinds of ways, sometimes after they earn it and piss it away, and sometimes before they can earn it. I hope he at least gets a chance to piss it away, because that would be good news for everyone!

According to PFF Connor McGovern is good

You could be describing our future center as well. How soon? Hard to say, but it just feels like it will be his job eventually. *Yeah, I didn’t even want to try to spell his name. 😂 -

Kelci is 35 years old. If he was our guy we’d be worried about when age (and distraction) will overtake him. Kincaid is young and I hope a future star. Maybe we can kinda swap roles here. That is my hope. 😋 Still, as has been said, it’s tough for anyone to beat Mahomes and Reid. It’s not that the Bills are bad, we just haven’t been quite good enough when we needed it. Yet. -

I hope his good stuff is saved for the playoffs. Pace the old guy thru the regular season. -

We should just have him run a 35 yard dash and that problem is solved. Coleman probably concerns me the most, but I am strangely intrigued by his body control. Is that enough? Hard to say, but his rout running is easier to improve than his speed. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
Augie replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I expect that the Bills will make WR a high priority next year as well, whether it be free agency or the draft. (I’d prefer a cheaper, younger player.) I’m hoping for the best, and thinking they are out of great options for now. Let’s see how it plays out. We may be surprised, or we may be exposed. There is always the trade deadline if we have injuries or clearly need help. A 3rd rounder for a CB was the only path to the playoffs last year due to injury. . -
Raiders HC Antonio Pierce faces civil judgements totaling 28 million
Augie replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
According to whom? It is what it you, you guarantee the debt and you are responsible. For all of it, even if there are other guarantors you personally are jointly and severally liable for the entire amount. There is no “reasonable” limitation. That’s why you don’t take it lightly. -
Until he strings together a few healthy and successful seasons that may very well be his best path. Don’t guarantee too much money to a china doll, then wonder how things went so terribly wrong.

Some of these games, college or NFL, make the crowd noise so loud it’s almost impossible to distinguish the voice of the commentators. They just become part of the background noise. I turn it up a bit to hear the voices, but the crowd just gets louder! I’m not sure if this varies by network or venue or what, but sometimes it’s fine and sometimes it’s very annoying to me.

Throw in Super Bowl MVP and we have a deal!!!
-
Is it fair to hope you are kidding?
-
Sure, so let’s start over by replacing the winningest coach in team history (by %) and 2nd in wins in the last 4-5 years. THAT makes sense. We’ve been decimated by unfortunate injuries at inopportune times. Not making excuses, but it’s a fact. And I’m not excusing McD, because he’s played a part in the gaffes. But almost every fanbase in ther league would be thrilled to see him in charge. Wasting years, IMO, is what you do by starting over. .
-
I’m sorry, but you’re being serious, right? Sometimes it’s hard to tell.
-
Fair enough. Maybe not healthy, but certainly fair. I thought dangling a dome would soften you. I know it would warm my heart.
-
This is a roster built to do what McD does on defense, so once again maybe an oversimplification. Change in coaching staffs generally leads to changes in schemes, leading to having to re-work the roster. Sure, let’s start over again. Be careful what you wish for.

I’m sorry, it’s not just your post but the entire thread that is forgetting what a complicated thing an NFL football team is. There are hundreds of people working to put out the best team we can. Josh is great, but the rest of the team helps a helluva lot too. The oversimplification gets out of control.
-
Would you forgive him if he bought you a dome???
-
He’s earned Hasn’t Done Jack! I think it’s kinda catchy! 😋

According to some guy named Gordon…… 🤷♂️

Raiders HC Antonio Pierce faces civil judgements totaling 28 million

Everybody failed here, the lender and investor. Not all businesses are driven into the ground. I’d honestly love to know how this was structured, because it’s not as simple as the headlines make it sound. We generally also required that the spouse provided a guarantee as well to prevent any shell games. If it’s a really strong deal the borrower can shop it for the best terms, and maybe someone will cave and skip the full guarantee to get the deal. Obviously this was not foolproof, and the lender was smart to ask for the guarantee. They took a gamble and provided it to get the financing. I’m curious how many other people are on the hook but don’t have the pockets or name recognition to get included in an article like this. Or was it just him? Did it include the spouse? Other investors? There are a lot of unknowns here. -

They had Gruden running the show not too long ago on a CRAZY 10 year deal. They sure can pick ‘em!
