Belichick was a great DEFENSIVE coach, and of course a lousy GM. A quick search of his record without Brady found this: Belichick has just two playoff appearances in the 10 full years without Brady (counting 2008 since Brady was injured in the first game of the year). He has just three winning records and is only 1-2 in the postseason -- with no division titles. Didn't help Brady won a Super Bowl in his first year post-Belichick.Jan 11, 2024

I know a lot of people like to wait until the last minute hoping to get the best possible deal. Personally, by the time I’ve paid for airfare, a car rental and a hotel for a few nights, I like to have my tickets nailed down. For under a hundred dollars I’d just ***** them up and move on with one less thing to worry about. Enjoy!

I think that was the one we went to in the late 70’s/early 80’s. I think it was near The Library bar by the UB campus, and we would stumble in very late. Instead of getting in line to order, my friends would go straight to the pickup line and grab the first order that sounded good that was ordered and paid for by someone even less alert than we were. Never had a problem with those shenanigans in the wee hours. .

Maybe it’s not the year, but the time of day? I think your problem might be that you didn’t just close a bar at 4am and stumble in for a snack. That might change your perspective a bit. I never went to the Mighty when the sun was up.

We all have choices. They know that, and they play the odds. Only I decide how far I let them push that limit, so that’s on me. …and I’m not going down the taxpayer rabbit hole. It is what it is, and I had no ability to influence that in a meaningful way. Here we are, and we make our decisions.

I paid only $12.95 for a beef on weck with fries today. With an Arnold Palmer, tax and tip it came in just under $21. I can make one I enjoy more, but this is just so easy and near my house. .

He went to significant effort to list all the bad things that have happened, while completely ignoring anything and everything good that happened over that same time. I found a lot of good entertainment and had some great times with fellow Bills fans over that same period of time. Some balance in life can be nice. .

One of the best parts of having a pool in the South is that it’s usually a visual focal point. It’s something pretty to look out at, usually from most rooms in the house. If I had to cover it for much of the year, I might look toward landscaping and/or hardscaping for my focal point. But I do enjoy a pool! I’m curious: for the WNY pool owners, about how long is your open pool season?

I don’t know the rules in OP. Or what the rules were in London, but I was in the stadium more than an hour before the game just looking around. When the gates opened it looked like that in terms of the crowd. Then everybody flooded in and it looked more like you’d expect, but still MUCH nicer than what we are used to. I guess my main takeaway was not really about the stadium space as much as the inability to pour and sell beer. I have a 27 second video where 8 people behind the counter manage to sell about 5-6 beers to 600 waiting people. It’s hysterical….NOW! They set a cup on something perforating a hole in the bottom and it very slowly fills. Then, of course, the cup with the hole in the bottom leaks, so they pour it into another cup. Unfortunately, this created too much foam so it had to be done very slowly, and sometimes they’d forget which cups had a hole in the bottom and refill that. It was insane and might have resulted in a riot in OP. We’ve all seen how you CAN sell beer to huge crowds.

More like 2-3 hours before kickoff. The Tottenham stadium actually did look like that….when I first went inside. It was spacious and you could walk right up to a bar and get a drink. Then all the people arrived, and I spent about half of the second quarter trying to get a beer. It didn’t help that their beer delivery system is completely broken. For the record, filling the cups up thru a hole in the bottom leaves you with a cup of beer….still with a small hole in the bottom. What might go wrong there? I bet some of you can guess.
