  1. I’d say things are going quite well!
  2. I think it’s actually on ESPN3 now!
  3. Are you mad at her for being successful? She never said she was poor, she was just squelching the kind of people who think she lives on a mega yacht.
  4. The guide might say that, but…..
  5. ….and an even worse credit risk. 😂
  6. Let’s call it close. You know, all things considered. 🤷‍♂️
  7. I hear that game sucked. Ugh Stuff like this pisses me off. I stopped watching NBC Nightly News after they did this contract stuff last time. Sorry Lester.
  8. Good to know. I was busy and never bothered trying to switch over (several exhausting clicks of multiple controls) but I wondered if I had a safety net.
  9. I found it annoying that I couldn’t go ice fishing, snowmobiling or curling on the pond this weekend.
  10. You mean to Hawaii, right?
  11. So, my DTV Streaming is apparently having one of those little contract snits with anything Disney. That means no ESPN/ABC or US Open. I learned this as I tried to tune in to see Jess play at noon. I went to a local bar to watch and have a beef on weck. They don’t have Disney either so no tennis, and they just sold the last roll of weck. I struck out. 😢 People here are more worried about maybe missing FSU tonight. College football rules here.
  12. You have nothing to feel bad about. I record every game, but I never go back and rewatch them. Labor Day tangent here, but you’ve been to one handful of games live, and yet you are still actively here. I went to home games for about a decade as a kid, then nothing for 2-3 decades, and now I go to one or two games a year. We have people who have never been to a Bills game. And we have people here who have been going consistently for multiple decades. Very diverse group we have in terms of in person experience, but that’s who we are.
  13. But have a SWELL time! I wish I could help. My son has been and I’ve always wanted to go, but for some reason the wife doesn’t see it the way I do. .
  14. Sorry if I missed it, but what is his condition now? When might he be available again? I never really heard how serious it was.
  15. I’ve been exposed, but it feels good to have my secret out.
  16. It’s your big chance! I hear that is the newest Olympic sport!
  17. Is it at local pharmacies? Grocery stores? We moved from the lowcountry in 1993 and just make occasional visits since, maybe every other year.
  18. Good to know! I’m always looking for a better way. We were in Hilton Head in May and the anti-bug juice smell on the table took me back decades to skin so soft. Unfortunately, you can’t spray that stuff on your food or drink. I forgot how much I hated those damn no-see ‘ems!!!!
  19. I think you are probably referring to what we called “no-see ‘ems”, and they can be a pain in the butt, and in the ear, nose or eye. We used Skin So Soft as the most effective repellent when I lived in the Lowcountry. I’m pretty sure they still sell that.
  20. Finally, something I’m glad I came across!
  21. I think you may have him confused with someone else. Anyone else. EDIT: My usual caveat is to verify its current info. I’ve been burned in the past. .
  22. Nothing says welcome to our fair city like an addict with a box cutter! 😂 As I noted earlier, we were advised by the wife’s local people to just stay away from SF. And I have to agree with you about Miami. We got lost one time heading to the Orange Bowl. We got off at the wrong exit and we saw things we had never seen before. It felt like we were in another world entirely. That is about as frightened as I have ever been. Even in a “nice area” like South Beach I could only order by pointing at the menu. I was the only person around who spoke English. That just feels odd. As they say, you know what the best thing about Miami is? It’s so close to the United States! .
  23. Some neighbors have work equipment in their yard now for a project, and I think they just covered it all (driveway and yard) with plywood, but it’s not NEARY 125’. I’d hate to butcher mature trees if it can be avoided. I guess a lot depends on how that would look, and your relationship with your neighbors. We got to design our last pool in Florida. It was a BLAST! We asked the kids for input and they wanted to be able to play volleyball, so each end was just a little on the shallow side for my taste. It turned out beautiful, but I always wished for a deeper area (maybe oddly in the middle?), especially on hot days when that’s where you find the coldest water.
  24. My wife had to be at a conference at Half Moon Bay south of SF for a conference last summer. We planned to build some vacation time in at the end, and the people from her SF office said whatever you do, just avoid the city completely. It wasn’t safe, they said, so we just did wine country. Very sad because I remember how beautiful it had been in the past.
  25. Wow! Thanks for the insight. I didn’t realize you guys were that close. When did you first meet him?
