  1. This should be studied!! Workhorse backs used to average 25-30, 35 carries per game and play till they were old. Emmitt, Jamal Lewis, Eddie george etc etc They were seeing double the carries and double the effective years in the nfl. WTF happened to them? I don't buy any 'kids are getting softer' bs. Its strange!!!
  2. Thurman is 2 years behind the ball here, or at least the article is, maybe hes been chiming in. Its all part of the cyclical nature if the league. 2018-2021 passing really exploded. As a result we saw LB's in the Edmunds grow popular draft time. Guys that were essentially an extra DB on the field first and foremost and if the LB could thump in the run game (obv tremaine couldnt) that was a "bonus". Defensive backfields started loading up on these guys that were harder to toss the rock against, but weren't exceptional in the run game, but they were enough to stop the major threat, the pass. A Bunch of teams around 2020-2021 were in qb purgatory, so they started leaning back into the run game as their advantage against these smaller LBs. NE did it with Mac Jones, I forget the backs. Colts were doing it with Jonathan Taylor. Browns with Chubb and Hunt. It worked! Even though those teams were lower seeded they were teams we didnt want to bump into in 1st rd. Not cause they were powerhouse franchises, but a mismatch for the way the top teams were built. 2022 tides started shifting, heck we've even seen it here. Eagles drafted jihad Campbell this year in 1st rd!!! I know he brings some pass rush and is a good player... but he seems like a skill set that wouldn't have been a premier demand even 2-3 years ago. Leo Chennel might be a better example too. He hasn't exactly lit the world on fire, but he went late 3rd rd. I think if he came out this year, he would've went late first early 2nd as a thumper in the run game. Tl:dr it's all cyclical. As beefy LBers start to fill up team rooms, in a few years, we'll probably see a REnaissance of the pass game like we did.
  3. Depends on the money. If hes in a tight spot, a one year prove it deal coulda make a ton of sense.... but depends on the amount and his willingness to take it Puns intended
  4. We got a decent slate of games today too!
  5. #8 Bama vs FL St. 3pm #9 LSU v #4 Clemson tonight. Tomorrow night could be a fun one in a bounce back hopeful TCU vs UNC (Beli's first game)
  6. 3-0 🔥🔥🔥 Plus hit on a +650 King 'Next TD' once Buffaloes tied it at 20-20. 4-0. Huge night, damn GT is going to be a fun team to follow this year
  7. When you say in circles, do you mean buffalo leagues or nationwide? There's big $$ in fantasy that kinda creates a sharp line for predictions. That'd be interesting
  8. I was happy to read about all the praise hes been getting... wish we'd all been able to see it more. Im pretty optimistic all thing Buffalo, and wouldve been really happy having him as a serviceable outside WR... I've raised my expectations a bit, but not too much, prepare for the worst hope for the best seems to serve me well with a polarizing player like Keon. Man what an absolute shot in the arm it'd be to get last years offense with Kincaid snatching bodies and Keon being even a top 20-30 kinda guy in the NFL. I gotta say the absolute silence on the team since TC ended has been tough!!! Ready for real games to get back to flying around!!!
  9. CAN WE GET THIS BAD BOY ROLLIN' AGAIN THIS YEAR PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE????? Tonight I like Georgia Tech @ Colorado 8pm (ET) : 1. GTech ML --I think -3.5 feels like a trap in hostile environment, and early season offenses sputtering a bit 2. Haynes King over 44 yards -- really like this. Kid is all guts, its going to be loud, and when communication breaks down he'll take off. Plenty of designed runs 3. Parlay - Sprinkled GT ML & King Rushing for 2 TD's (.2 units, other two got 1u)
  10. Based on? They've been saying his whole family, who has mentored him heavily are telling him take no shortcuts. As of today hes started 2 total games since HS. He sat there and ate his red-shirt, and sat there and watched Sarkasian let them blow a chance at a Natty, while Ewers imploded and he rode pine. He never hit the transfer portal when he could've done so and not only started, but secured the biggest NIL bag to be had. Itd seem incredibly short sided for him to rush his development IMO (and his HOF royalty football family). S*** changes fast in college, but I just cannot see it
  11. In 2027? Maybe? We've seen two games of Arch.... so NFL franchises are making 2025 decisions about 2027, based on high school recruits LOL Not to mention if Arch is the type of NFL prospect (2 seasons away) we think he will be, whos moving out of that #1 overall spot? Nobody!!!
  12. This is a dumb kid not knowing how to spend his allowance problem. I absolutely wouldnt have paid black Kirk Cousins what they did... especially when they could've got a haul like this by trading Dak. That lowers cap hit, gets you return resources, and gets you out of QB purgatory. Lamb I can wrap my head around paying, but they screwed themselves waiting till last minute. Two dumb financial decisions, doesnt make a third one a smart call LOL
  13. "I'd rather have Peyton Manning at 7years & $98m" I agree with the sentiment, but how many biga$$ DL contracts have been handed out since then? That market is long and gone, even in a year... which is why the $47m is just another regular contract
  14. Crazy to think there weren't multiple contending teams willing to spend on a 26yr old at the 2nd most premium position in football. Most contending teams already have a franchise QB.... none of these already contending teams ever have a realistic chance to draft a pass rusher like this because A- they're rare and B- they're off the board within the first 10 picks. Salary cap is exploding exponentially year to year. The money is a tough pill to swallow, but its fine
  15. Theyre tanking in 2025 for the 2027 draft? Sounds like a Jerry Jones move!
  16. Two 1sts and potentially a player/other pick per Rapaport. Ughhhhh G-D!!!
  17. Man Im gunna puke when I see the trade compensation. If this was possible, we shouldve beat it
  18. Nope lol cause thats too easy!!! Id part with all 3 variations of Shakir + [Oliver or Rousseau or Bernard], admitting Rousseau would hurt the most out of the bunch... just because it improves both DE1 & DE2, and the skillsets contrast/compliment each other nicely IMO. Man lets get this thing done. It'll hurt, but the cap is exploding year 2 year, and Id be really stoked about the group of core players we'd have locked up. 3 Firsts (or two 1's & a 2nd) is not the end of the world... I think I'd almost rather eat the three 1's because they'd all be different years, but could live with it either way. Lessssgooooooo!!!! Buffalo Denver LAC LAR thats the order of places I'd like to see him end up at, in order of preference I hope so!!! Im not eager to get rid of him, but my hope for an elite player has diminished from what it once was. G'Dambbb, would I love to swallow crow on that!!
  19. General question to the board:::: Complete theoretical thought experiment...... its unlikely to the highest degree but (ignore the cap stuff for a sec) In a play 4 player are you giving up a combination of Shakir + [Oliver or Rousseau or Bernard] to land Parsons? Are any, some or none of those options you'd consider??
  20. Also LAC or DENVER landing him would be a giant Win in my book. I get it, its in the AFC, but I think some extra heat in that division helps us more than it hampers us. Put it this way, if they can help push KC out of the #1 spot and give us a buy, I'll gladly play one of those teams + Parsons in the 2nd round if it means Chiefs @ Home + Bye Week
  21. Its steep but that means its realistic. Im saying this the first time ever -- Josh isnt getting any younger, we're in as good of shape as ever to go all-in. I still believe Josh brings us multiple Lombardi's, but that first one is the most pesky. Get that experience of winning for him and the rest of the roster & coaching staff, and i truly believe it becomes contagious to all stepping in the locker room afterwards.... even if theyre 3rd rd picks bc we got Parsons!!! Unload $$, and gotta give something to get it. Which is going to give us a better chance in playoffs? Micah or 'Mr. September"? Im fine with it, let them feel like they got their win too. Regular season W's still mean more to JJ as Playoffs anyways
  22. Yep, thats huge^^^. Not to mention a full extra week to gameplan YOUR scheme, and against the team(s) you're most likely to play. Even in the 2 years we went to AFCCG, we were massively banged up; 2021 Beasley was the huge one, but IIRC it was also Diggs and Jon Brown (this one im least confident on). Last year ive blocked out, but I know there were a boatload including Bernard (Benford got hurt in game, so no help there). Not only is it an extra week to rest up, but avoiding a game of potential injuries, and reducing wear and tear (effects availability and performance even when avail) when everyone on all teams is dealing with something, after already expanding to 17 games regular season. Theres also morale boost. Its enormous. With how narrow the margin of error is, a week of and playing in Buff vs in KC, id feel pretty damn safe saying we would've got over KC in one of those games, had we had the 1 seed.
  23. Im not a fan, but i cant say i hate them. Theres some cool details with the inscription inside the collar and the flaky/metallic grey stripe on helmet. Theres a huge demand for these, and obv the diehard fans arent going to quit watching because of it, so its all 'up$ide' for the NFL. I like the idea, just needs some better execution. Kind of excited to see some of the bad ones that come out lol
  24. Gotta Nair them badboizzz!!! Smooth as eggs
  25. Hawes made him pretty expendable IMO. One can block & catch, the other def cant block and was brutal at catching the ball. Really freaking stoked to have LeeSmith2.0 (now includes hands & route running!!!)
