  1. I think its a schtick. A satire of his real personality, and a need to be liked especially when facing the media. Not HC material, but thats OK. Id freaking love to get him on staff somehow. Hes had just about the worlds hardest job the last few years, with a collection of the worst kids at school in his classroom. Id bet coming here with good structure in place, a chip on his back to show he belongs and the ability to just get back to X's and O's. We've seen some of the better coordinators cement themselves as great at their jobs after a demotion on the league. They are the guys that made them good enough coordinators to get hired, with new skills and revamped ability to handle stress/workload. I think he hates HC and loved being a coordinator, and hes proved to himself hes not HC material. That means an offensive minded guy on staff, you dont have to start thinking about losing after 4 games under Josh Allen. Sign me all the way the **** up!
  2. I'd say you might be able to get an interim guy to cooperate on making sure you don't screw up your draft positioning! ... but honestly those dudes almost always end up fired too. trying to remember the last guy promoted to interim, who got the reigns the next year??? any of these guys active today get their HC job that way? I know coordinators do a decent amount, IF, HC is staying on
  3. If this happened, Id magically find myself rooting for a full Tyreek comeback LOL we need all the tannerite in the boat we can get if we want to see the best show. Sign Antonio Brown too!! Lesssssgooooo
  4. We need to get Hairston a few kits of GH and a fridge full of BPC-157 lol kidding... sort of. I fixed my old arse rickety knees with bpc157 in like 6 weeks. NFL claims to have a good program for HGH testing, but it we never see anyone pop for it... so its intentionally a poor program LOL I am surprised to see bpc157 as a banned substance, but seemed almost impossible to pop for with its half life. Pretty whack some of the things that are out there that can make an enormous difference for these guys healing times, not even talking any performance enhancement... strictly injury recovery. 0 side effects. Yet these guys can gobble opiates to play through general discomfort... and BYOTTW, bring your own toradol to work Think it'd be illegal for Hairston to swap them knees out with me for my freshly minted ones? LOL
  5. The culture better be able to absorb one rough around the edges guy. Addison isnt to the same level as Diggs from what we've seen. More bone headed than volatile, could absolutely see a strong locker room helping to get the best outta him. Hell, 3-4 years is a decent run and we got that from Diggs... thats gotta be about league average anyways. If you take emotion out of it, and look at full body of work, Diggs deal was amazing. Investment was 1st and 3rd. ..... We got 2 all-pro seasons, 1 pro bowl, 1 schizo ....... then flipped him for a 2nd rder. We got all that production at the depreciation cost of moving down 1 round, and giving up a 3rd. Thats like buying used car, driving it 200k miles, and being able to sell it for $10k LOL lotta bang for the buck.... and a Diggs is pretty much the worst case scenario I can live with that if it means adding an elite pass rusher! Just not many out there. I'd f'n barf at a big swing at CB/S. Its just not impact enough for the 2025 season. Especially when you need an 8yr engineering doctorate to play in this defense..... Address those in offseason
  6. As far as an allin and getting a big piece, I have no interest in anyone except for Hendrickson (barring a similar candidate shaking loose) on the defensive side of ball. defense is what it is, and i dont trust a single player upgrade to have any effect. its a flawed secondary, if we fix a link in the chain, their are other links unable to support their weight. adding more legit pass rush would serve a greater effect than anything else IMO. from there we can hope the other young players grow the rest of the season. All-In Move Rank: 1. Hendrickson 2a. Jordan Addison (could easily be 1a) 2b. DJ Moore 3a. Olave 3b. Shaheed 4. Deandre Hopkins - I know hes not what he once was, but the positive he'd have over Shaheed IMO, is veteran experience, plug n play. Not going to press him at the line during playoff football. Hes a dog, and wants a ring, and who doesnt want to play with Josh. For this season alone in a vacuum, I think I actually prefer Hopkins by a smidge. But a chance to preview Shaheed in person, and possibly get a first crack at signing in offseason squeaks him ahead.
  7. Im all about Addison, but one of these need to be the move. Figure out the fit and make an offer they cant say no to. Addison team controlled for 2 years after this year, $2.5M cap hit if acquired this week. Full route tree, plays like Diggs. Hes proli ready to be a #1 and not play second fiddle, and get a real QB. Theres a little diva kicking around but nowhere near the amount thats untenable. Addison can pair up with Josh the rest of his career pretty much, im absolutely fine paying him whatever he wants when its time. Kid has been a stud at Pitt, USC and Minny. Let the guy help us get a ring!! Minny might not be ready now, but theyve already kicked it around last year, they cant pay him, and a few more weeks closer to deadline with Wentz and theyll be ready to move some pieces. We should all be rooting against Minnesota every week!!!
  8. Did you (or anyone else here) notice if hes taken any snaps out of the slot at all? Would love to see some sets where Keon moves in slot.... he can spell Shakir here and there, or line up with 4 WR, both Shakir & Keon in the slot. This feels like it could be especially lethal if we can swing a trade for a real outside WR. Keon feels like a few guys we've had in here recently. Brutal and hated as a #1/#2, very nice surprise and better contributing as a #4. Dude needs to be easier to get the ball to, vs a teams lower tiered CB, but getting the ball in space, already on the move where he can crank up to his top-end speed and physicality after the run. Its so easy right now to remember him as being slow... but its really an acceleration/suddenness problem. While it takes him a while to get there, he looks fast af once hes had time to get to speed. It really frustrates me to not be able to play into that strength of his. Maybe a thunder/lightning duo in the slot could be really fun. I dunno. *Sigh*
  9. In quotes below that: Jordan Addison (2023) 36 games 142 rec 1,941 yards 20 TDs This is the wet dream here folks 💦 THE guy to lock up and play the back 9 of Josh's career with him
  10. Its actually even less than that when you consider its TWO cars moving towards each other. Average reaction time is about 1.5 secs for a driver to START a reactive action. Dude quad passed in no passing zone, in a Dodge Charger, small 2 lane road with no shoulders... An oncoming driver is not at fault for a reactive action to a car doing TWICE the speed, head on. Its a small 2 lane road too, no shoulders on either side
  11. I hope he takes EVERY LAST PENNY HE HAS EVER MADE AND WILL MAKE. Barring something even more bonkers than what we know now, theres no reason for this. What maybe the truck driver said to stfu and mind his business?! Called him a bust?! Complimented his mothers ***** talents?! EVERY. PENNY.
  12. Good. Drunk/high/spoiled rich guy, dont matter! What a POS. Thankfully that guy had a knife. Imagine carrying a weapon thinking you'll need it in the hood, and Mark Sanchez of all people assaults you, at what Im sure has to be the nicest hotel in town!! If youre legal, and in a state legal to do so, make sure you're carrying!
  13. Recovering addict coming up on 6 years here.... Ive done alotta blow. Have made the mistake of doing blow on a work night, and having to work in the morning: both on no sleep and little sleep (even if you get 4 hours, its the most unrestful type that equates to no sleep). Man, few times I did that ALLLLL I wanted to do was be productive as to not draw attention and hide. Last thing on earth you want is to talk to anyone with your jaw going sideways and having to consciously blink your red, desert dry eyes!!!! Its the worst. Doing coke and then jumping on Nat'l TV would be a nightmare, especially on camera intro we see at like 12:57pm of 2 guys talking!!! You basically have it written on your forehead. If this is how dude was rolling, I bet if somebody went back through and looked at footage they'd find him very obviously "uncomfortable" during that segment. Side note: in my head its so easy to remember "fun" and feeling good. After a few months clean I developed this ability that anytime I had a craving or errant thought (they still come today), to start replaying the worst moments... like a backwards mental Pavlov's Dog
  14. They ain't parting with both. I dunno how that'd work unless they wanted someone sent back. And nobody say "Samuel" lol dude has 280yds and 2 tds in a Bills jersey @ $10M. If somebody takes Samuel well be pitching in extra draft capital to absorb bad cash.... and most certainly wont be the saints Where you hearing thst though? Anywhere credible or message board fodder lol id love it and it makes sense just havent seen it anywhere at all
  15. Aikman has actually been dogging the refs/league a decent amount this year. Hes either disgruntled or absolutely sick of towing the company line. Ive respected it!
  16. Any GM that thinks like this needs to get out of the business lol my goodness, no offense, but that's such a weak take within your reasoning. Von Miller got hurt, so we can never bring in an established FA Def. End! Diggs was a jerk (after 3 all pro quality seasons), Amari Cooper was mentally already retired. Zack Wilson busted for the Jets, now they cant draft QB's..... oh wait, maybe you're right cause they signed a FA RB to play QB 🤣🤣🤣
  17. Lone bright spot i was able to recall (through the fog of frustration/anger) from the game last night. I know and am glad hes becoming a good blocker, i understand the value of an inline TE.... my question is will we line him up in the Big Slot role? Is that not a thought anymore? Is he just THAT much more valuable inline, that its hard to pull him away from there? Im down for whatever gets him the ball more. ESPECIALLY bc I expect him to see a ton more coverage rolled his way. Man if we ever needed it its right now
  18. For those fantasizing as well about Addison. I was under impression he spent a slight edge in the slot more than outside. Its closer to 75% outside, 25% slot from best i can tell. Its said here but I think these are usually behind a pay wall as I can never find it (And what i found is too large to upload 🙄🙄🙄)
  19. IMO theres a few moving parts here. Just saying CB2 isnt totally fair. You can add CB2 and get some improved play, but a safety can still slip up and let plays burn you. That is to say; a defense is only as strong as it's weakest link... we could fix CB2, and the difference in weakness, and the new floor of the defense (between CB2 and S), is not that much improved. At trade deadline, we arent and cant fix multiple positions, and thats what it'd take to shut down even a 31yr old Diggs. We also have Hairston returning, and should get strong back. Also, while Im sure to hear bellyaches, Dane Jackson is absolutely an upgrade over Tre White right now. In summary, we have reinforcements and roster shuffling that can/will improve CB2 in-house already. Jackson can fill in till Max is ready, and Id feel better. Additionally, we have some pass rush and run help on the way back between Hoecht and Ogbonjuni. These were not small offseason investments/afterthoughts. They should be huge for us, and fits our plan. To answer "What one area won that game for the Patriots?" The easiest, simplest, most likely to have an effect move is a real #1 WR who can get open, and unlock the 50% of the field we dont use now (outsides and less importantly, but still relevant, deep part of field). Offense does not face the same "as good as weakest link" dilemma as a defense.... even if it did, we are fully ready to go on offense, just needing a finishing touch.
  20. Underwhelming Palmer/Samuel or that other guy from Saints 2 years ago type guy IMO. Sure id try it if no other options presented, but really do NOT want half measures on a "projected" guy again. Thats absolutely slaughtered us. With that said, the ask shouldnt be too bananas or restrictive for future moves in off-season, so I could come around to it. I like the player, but not sold he changes us enough this year. At this point, and at his age, maybe Baltimore would deal D-Hop? Were competition with each other, but not this year, and hes rounded 3rd base of his career. More of an established ready to go guy for this season than Shaheed 100%. I know he mostly takes snaps in slot, but he could lineup outside opposite Keon sooooo nicely IMO
  21. Addison is more well rounded guy, with untapped potential. Hes ~$2.5M against cap this year prorated, as of today. We had interest in him the Kincaid year. They cant afford to pay another WR. 2 years cost controlled left. Season imploding. They were possibly shopping him last year. They gave solid resources to get Thielen back (LOL), they may be looking to recoup some of that and more for next year. Apparently they've spent the most cash of any team on 2025 season. They may not be ready to deal, but I think they willl be. He should be target 1.1. It's so perfect. I'd absolutely be willing to give a 1st + something more reasonable
  22. Anybody who is a specialist for a living can tell you this. If you have something you know you're good at... you will almost always do better investing resources (your time in this example) into something you already do well, than something you don't. Surgeons dont go pick up Ear, Nose, Throat Degrees... they niche down to heart surgeons or whatever. Investing in a Josh Allen offense, especially when their are deficiencies, is the way to go. I trust Josh, Josh knows what to do with them as hes shown. Investing in McD defense/Babich defense is a complete question mark. We've poured into that side of the ball with no results. Do we need to allocate every resources into the defense to MAYBE find out that it works? Its already cost too much. Chasing sunken costs. OR Spend a top notch resource, one freaking time, to see how much it pays off. You know it will pay out. Will it payout huge-ly, or just the appropriate amount? It kinda doesnt matter which. Its a known quantity. Until we show that we know how to turn a profit on defensive side of the ball, I'm not comfortable investing anything over there!
  23. FIRSTTTTT THING THEY TEACH AT POP WARNER. Not to mention there was zero to be gained even if he did pick it up. I still hate it but can wrap my head around a DE trying to scoop a ball after a FF strip on a QB, this was certainly not that scenario. Very very dumb in traffic. Zero upside
  24. Absolutely not in camp of moving on from Beane under any circumstances. McD is a defensive minded HC. You want Beane in sync with what that guy wants... a GM going rogue is a bad GM. We are a very good drafting team by every metric. We havent hit as many HRs as id like but Spencer Brown, Cook, Bernard, Shakir have all been HRs relative to where they've been picked. 1st rd has been really solid-very good for the most part (in comparison to the best GMs). 2nd rd has been a weird boogieman a bunch. 3rd and later has been excellent. I dont want McD gone, I want a bonafide top tier DC here. And Sean to be hands off that side. Time for Terry to put up or shut up, "dig a well", and pay whatever to get a serious DC in house. It makes no sense to pay into a roster what we do, build new stadium, state of art facility, be this close, and then be scared to drop a bag on someone to help get us over the top. Especially without a salary cap for coaches.
  25. I am not a fire McD guy, but his coordinator hires have not been enough. We've allocated a lot to the defense. No matter what we dump into the DL, we've seen no improvement! I don't know who that falls on... but anything short of a SB appearance and im at: 1A. Keep McD, hire a baller DC. Can't believe Fangio was floating around and we missed out, inexcusable. 1B. If that cant happen, then I'm finally ready for a change. Id so much rather #1 for the continuity and the high floor ceiling McD gives us. Its just glaringly obvious the defense and young d- Coordinator is not going to be enough. There's too much talent and resources on that side, and what feels like absolutely piss poor player development on the DL. Big Ed took forever to ball out. Rousseau has plateaud below his true ceiling. Epenesa has been solid, but unspectacular. We've had a billion DTs underperform here, and constantly shuffled. Dwayne Carter looking unrosterable as a 3rd rd pick. That wake forest 2nd rder im forgetting. Von Miller i chalk up to chit happens with that injury. Not ragging on them about any one player on DL as much as I am the entirety of the performance of the groups. Here's more: Mario Addison Vernon Butler Quinton Jefferson Javon Solomon Ill give all the rookies slack here, its 4 games in. Walker looks like a home run (but I worry about not being able to get him or other guys to their ceiling via development). Landon Jackson was always going to be a redshirt IMO, but again, i worry about his development here with our history at building these guys up. Where is our Kromer from the defense?!
