Personally think we should go big game hunting in trade market. And we should draft another as high as value makes sense in rounds 1-3. Move up a few slots if you have to make need match up with BPA correctly. I would've liked to see Keon get some shared reps in slot with Shakir, but I dont think hes remotely earned it. On paper hes the #1 on this team. Most snaps of all WR's. Josh Allen is his QB. 330 yards in a hair over half the season. Hes been disciplined several times. Brisk jogging routes. Crazy disrespectful and ignorant. Part of me genuinely thinks he should be cut as a wake up call and example to the rest of the team. I dont say that lightly.... but hes the best example of a guy with no fire. The one thing he did exceptionally well, and still has an advantage over NFL DB's is his build and 50/50 ball skills (lol!).... dude looks completely disinterested in fighting for them now. I dunno If hes a punk. Or Poyer made him realize he doesn't have it at the NFL level last year. Obviously were not in a position to cut him though. If something happens to Shakir, he'll get his chance in the slot. Im sure his confidence is shot too, which is another reason I change should've been made sooner. Probably wouldn't change anything, but doesn't mean thst wasn't the right thing to do. Crazy

Who do we want, who do we need as our next HC and, or GM?
BillsShredder83 replied to jaybeezee's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bro I hope McD lobbies for his job, like you are for his. If you require a perfect atmosphere to get your job done, youre not good at your job. Were not going to get a season with: -no injuries -the nfl rolls out a 31 team season, a Chief-less season -a draft class with no busts -a weaker division than weve had for 9 years -a #1 WR looking for league minimum Every team thats ever won it has overcome adversity in critical moments. What youre looking for is some kind of wild windstorm of good luck to get over the hump. Josh's clock is ticking, im not willing to wait on that. Im feeling greedy and its not just 'one before I die anymore'. It is 'one before Josh retires'. I didnt account for this effect on my psychology when we landed Josh, but winning one without/after Josh would not be nearly as fulfilling for me. -

I can: A. Just human nature in 99% of cases. B. If they weren't tuning the staff out, and the team still respected and believed in them. Then they wouldn't have played as spineless and disinterested as they have in more than half their games this year.... even in wins. Even if they think they respect and believe in McD, and this is how they respond, then I have no interest in this staff. -

There is a hugeeeeee area between lunatic, sh** teammate Pickens, and the BS half measure WRs weve brought in. I am NOT against bringing in a semi problematic/highly talented dude, IF the problems are off the field. I cant get on board bringing in a awful teammate and awful locker room guy. Hes post CTE Antonio Brown, without having the brain damage yet lol -

That was a historically dysfunctional ownership/FO at the time (Al had to be the worst owner in NFL at the time). Kiffin was like 34? Hes brushed shoulders with nothing but the best mentors since then. He bounced around between jobs at his choice since then, but has been successful at every stop and majorly over achieved with Ole Miss. Hes quit drinking, grown up a bunch and its shown. He'd be offensive minded HC, which is a requirement for me, and is a trend setter among modern offenses. Brings attitude and swag to a team severely lacking. He'd love to coach Josh. And would help draw major interest from top coordinators. Im confident hed bust his ass to bring in a serious DC to compliment his offensive skill set. Adding a legendary recruiter could only help in free agency. If I was a young FA that's a cool young HC id want to play for too. There are probably equally qualified candidates but hed be at the top of my list. You think Josh wouldn't be licking his chops to play under a guy like that?! -

No disrespect to anyone personally, but am a bit shocked to see such a well informed fanbase/message board, clamoring for Gruden. He hasn't won s*** in 24 years, and has been outta the league like what, 18-20 of those? A guy is good at doing YouTube breakdowns so hed be a good head coach? I can read a John Grisham book, should I go write a #1 NYT best seller? Lol -

Certain metals negatively effect ions in alcohol. I cant remember which ones, to cover your bases, make sure to get a handful of random change in your mouth and you can not fail a breathalyzer. With that said, you should never roll down your window. You are a sovereign citizen, command they treat you with respect, and you will have it. Remember- you pay their wages. Assertively remind them at every turn of conversation. -
ESPN NFL playoff machine up and running

Not relevant to this Indian burial ground injury cursed team. Its a 2pt swing. A. We need another week off B. We need to not suffer further injuries in wild cars because God knows we'll suffer debilitating injuries if we make a WC They need to prove to me and more importantly themselves that we aren't pretenders -

"KC is so good, we just gotta be ok with never getting past AFCCG because of it" That's what im hearing. Its evident to everyone under the sun, this staff is incapable of beating KC in January. It sure as heck ain't happening with a weakening roster. "McD is capable of making changes when coordinators don't live up to their standards" So why do we keep hiring bum coordinators, and letting guys learn on the job that have never done it before? Thats what you do with a young QB/team. You dont continue to lose to the Chiefs in playoffs, by getting outcoached and then promote someone from the same staff... while knowing we are in a SB window... while knowing theyre going to make rookie mistakes. You think a 35yr old rookie coordinators are suddenly going to walk in, never having done this before, and beat a staff of Reid/Spagnola? Somehow Josh is in year 9 and were further away than we were the first time we lost to them. There's nothing to be scared of. Were not hiring a HC/GM for the 17yr drought Buffalo Sabres. Were hiring for a team on the cusp of a championship... with hopefully another 5-8+ years of Josh Allen. That is going to be by far the most significant attractive opening that theres been in the NFL since literally???? 5 years at least! Could be 10+. You dont have to be brilliant to get the right guys from that pool. Its the applicants job to come in and blow you away. We will generate insane levels of interest from the top of the cream. -

All this is great... but look at the direction were trending. Look at the teams effort/fire Sunday. Its a sinking ship. 2021 should've been a Super Bowl winning team that year... and would've been in contention any year since then. I think they'd be a mile ahead of anybody else if you drop them in 2025. Everything has slowly gotten worse, less focused, less sharp. Talent diluted. Cap progressively getting worse. Still hiring awful coordinators. Anybody can look at this team and see the players lack of intensity. They look like they hate being at a damn game, imagine practice vibes. If the team was still responsive and in tune with their coach, we wouldn't have seen them look like that. You cant get be this good, playing someone that bad, get blown out, look disinterested, and tell me the players still believe in their coaches. Especially when its not the first or even second time this year... and thats just counting losses... weve won games that look like that this year too -

Not at you specifically, but ive seen Cignetti s name a bunch... dude just signed $11m/yr deal with a billion incentives, in October. If he tries to leave he owes something like $15m back. Its an interesting complicated contract to look at, but its as ironclad that he won't be leaving anytime soon, let alone this year -

Genuine question, bc I dunno. What would make Reggie McKenzie a good GM? Aside from GB his resume doesn't do anything for me. Not being critical, I dont have my pulse on Front Office guys to know anything about who would make a good GM -

Gimme Kiffin. Id prefer to dig into the college ranks over hiring from a very limited NFL pool. Hell be available and if he can make as much $$ in the NFL as NCAA, im not sure why anybody would stay down there. It might not be less work in the NFL, but your time is allocated exclusively to X & O type work when you take recruitment outta the picture -
DT T.J. Sanders and S Damar Hamlin to Injured Reseve
BillsShredder83 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
All teams could really benefit from some self reflection and trading for positions they suck at scouting and/or developing (FA's signings too). The initial costs of a trade like that suck, but not nearly as much as spinning your wheels... draft a guy, 2-3years figuring out hes not it. Then spending another pick at the position. For example: look at the money we've spent on lousy/mid WR's in FA. -
Interesting. By far the least sexy position to play, but if you had a kid serious about sports/school, it easily would be the easiest route to getting a scholarship. Not easy, but easiest. Bonus points for parents leary of brain injury side of the sport. Ill admit to being a hypocrite here. I played football among other sports, its my absolute fav thing, but I wont be pushing my 2year old towards it when he gets old enough. Now if he comes to me and its really his thing, and hes dying to play, im not going to tell him no. Sort of ironically, I wont be pushing him towards soccer either, for the same (same'ish LOL) reason... even though thats most typical sport for kids to start in. I will be trying to nudge him towards wrestling, baseball, basketball. For all the ball busting wrestlers take, it prepared me for real life more than any other sport. I dont think id be half the man I am without it: discipline, motivation, pushing past your comfort zone, all sorts of mental barriers destroying. Translates really well to others sports to... I dont think most people realize how many NFL'ers were high level wrestlers at some point. Especially LB, DL, and OL Absolutely hate the variable point on kicks lol so with that said, i can look forward to Goodell rolling that out shortly

Some of these college kickers are huge now! One Terminator sized kicker is all it will take to put kickers in the cool category with fans lol

Mike McDaniel Drinking Problem
BillsShredder83 replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know your stance on it, so not directed at you... but a bunch of people I knew from meetings back when I was getting my s*** together (coming up on 6 years) used “California sober” as a dig, mostly the old-school crowd. I get why. There’s some risk, especially for people who were totally clean for years and then decide to try green again. That can wake the compulsive stuff back up. But that group is very small. For everyone else-the people who’d never even try getting clean unless they had some kind of release valve, it can really help make transition easier. Same idea as a cheat meal keeping you from bailing on a diet fully and binging for a month lol I’m basically fall into 2nd group. Even before id ever tried quitting seriously I'd figured out if i needed a quiet night, or to not blow my paycheck, If i rolled one up when it started getting dark, it crushed any drive I had to start drinking… there'd even be nights where i tried to change my mind and try to binge drink, and couldn't even get the drinks flowing on purpose. drinking is what fired up my drive to end up in the powder too A comic kinda summed up my experience with drinking and cocaine perfectly with: “Drinking without smoking is like trying to poop without peeing.” -

BillsShredder83 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thats always been his flaw. You cant count on him for any type of volume. His last season here, im not looking it up, but he had like 16/17 games with 3 or less catches... and like 14 of those were 2 or less. But yes if he could increase his production by 200-250% from last time, than yes, he'd be a welcome addition 😂 This says "through 3 weeks" in 2023. I genuinely dont know what the full season would look like, maybe its this good... but cant tell anything from that graphic
