Thats a positive IMO. I hate it, I like what he is capable of when healthy on the field.... but he never is. If someone else will take his contract, send us someone we need, and only wants a bump in compensation, than that makes it that much more appealing to me!

Steelers ownership growing frustrated with Tomlin
BillsShredder83 replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Theres no way he has this kind of sway anymore. A) Age. Dudes mid already, and realistically could/should retire at any minute B) Performance. Its actually remarkable what hes done at his age & after serious injury like that... with that said, he'd be incredibly lucky to get that team (or any other) out of the first round. No way are you letting this guy have input in the future of your franchise, especially not a well respected bunch like the Rooney's -
Baffling it hasnt happened already. Im hoping they keep him on till the end of season so that we have a chance if Brady takes a HC job in college or pros! I like getting a guy who was a good coordinator, and failed as a HC. I think that experience cant do anything but make them a better coordinator, even when it didnt work out.

I dont think anybody is asking for a deep ball attack from this team. The most impressive tool in Josh 's game is the intermediate lazers. I get defenses bottling deep stuff away from us... we cant willingly let them bottle us up to a 5yds or less pass system. Got to find a way to make teams respect more of the field
-
Yeah that didnt work out right.... g2 say what a dumb slip up whoever leaked that "we were done with Cooper" clip leak. I know its not the end of the world, but that kinda thing can hurt relationships with other teams, and more importantly gives ZERO UPSIDE to let that out. Not to mention, youre the Browns lol not exactly killing it. Pure idiocy from that FO... at all times, even the small crap

Im not being facetious when I say I hope he's learned how to catch. I want to eat a s*** sandwhich so bad. Please baby Jesus give us a miraculous reuniting story about how Gabe became Devonte Adams at 26yrs old after blowing out his knee. We need a miracle -
William Fichtner Intetview—Famous Bills Fan

I almost hit him with my car as a teenager downtown before LOL true story. Night before a season opener, near all the bars (I wasnt there for that), kept creeping up in my car as the white line was behind these 2 buildings... parked cars on side of road and busy traffic, very tricky to see, busy traffic. I krpt creeping up and was tunnel visioned on an opening. Getting ready to hit the gas and outta the corner of my eye I see something. Stomp the brake! A VERY ANNOYED FAMILIAR LOOKING FACE CROSSES IN FRONT HAHA I yelled, "I ALMOST HIT THE 'PRISON BREAK GUY!'" MY BAD WILLIAM! I'M NOW MUCH MORE AWARE WHEN CREEPING FORWARD IN THOSE SCENARIOS -

BillsShredder83 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
When you have a crap spot on a draft board, too high to reach for talents too low, you draft physical freaks. The dude is rawwwwwww if you've seen any film. The guy was always going to be a redshirt! With that said, tape of him from early college, you'd think he'd never been coached or played football... its a grand canyon sized improvement he made over his career in college... so you bank on the physical traits, and hope that he can make the jump with enough exposure at the next level. I still like the pick, and I'll be serving up s*** & crow sandwhiches to you all by this time next year -
Carson Wentz to have season ending shoulder surgery
BillsShredder83 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
He meant the literal tears and crying. Knowing what we know now, Kirk probably deserves to issue an apology; private or publicly. At the time, it very much reminded me of the Derek Carr scene, crying on the field, after getting smacked around on blitzes/sacks, and upset at a turnover or whatever it was. That was embarrassing. I'm not even a biggest meathead type personality, around this sport, and it permanently changed how I saw that dude... Now imagine this through the lens of an NFL room; containing 53 highhh T dudes. Each have 25years of always being the most alpha in any room, their entire room. Every guy banged up and hurting, they're pissed off too.... and you see a guy thats supposed to lead you crying like that. This wasnt crying during emotionally charged Natty Anthem, or Hamlin dying on the field, or death of a teammate. That was a look most here can remember seeing on a literal broken child; too soft for pop-warner/JV. They knew and everyone else knew - they didnt belong at this level, and they'd never make it. Probably wouldn't admit it, but he lost support on the team that night from players, and staff. Wentz gets a pass here (sort of) because he had a broken shoulder... if we're being honest, what we saw is what we already knew - He knew and everyone else knew - he didnt belong at this level, and he'd never make it. This is NOT criticism about his talent level anywhere near as much as, it's about his heart. Wentz has NEVER had his heart into it. He has never appeared to be a guy who loved NFL football... might have not loved college ball either. It's a career to him, and it oozes out of him talking. -
Horrible Year To Be Buyers at Trade Deadline
BillsShredder83 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think all the hooplah around here about that interview is the most overblown topic on this site that I've seen since I can't remember when. Beane was a bit prickly that day, but at the same time, he did what leaders do and stuck up for his guys. I think some personal frustration seeped into his response too. I 100% think he had the wrong delivery, and thats the only reason its noteworthy, but thats what I want a guy in management to do 100 of 100 times... Stand Up for Your Guys when they aren't around to defend themselves. Criticism (constructive or not), serves nobody when public facing in the 4 major leagues. We're not privy to all the FA's/attempted trades we've unsuccessfully attempted to lure into (Metcalf?) the building. Nor are we aware of all attempts to move around the draft board, that just didn't pan out. WR's havent exactly been falling off of trees the last few years. Beane needs to shoulder the load of having given that extension to Diggs when he did, knowing what we know now. It lead to him having to offload a toxic asset prematurely, and eating a dead cap hit to do so. In no way do I think we went into that offseason, thinking a deal needed to be made. We were going to try and tread water with it another year... Diggs blew that up. When he inked that deal, it seemed like a no-brainer, squash the one gripe the guy had... I don't think anyone saw that bipolar mental episode coming, def not at the extension, and def not at that point in the offseason when we unloaded him. It's easy to point to Minnesota and say "he did it while he was there!" That's one data point. The guy had some credible gripes too. Contract. Playing 2nd fiddle to other WR's... being on a run heavy team. We took a chance on a good WR, taking the next step, hoping he'd become great. Diggs did that. He balled out and put his heart in maybe more than anyone on those 2021 + 2022 teams. Predictably, things like that can break a guy, especially a diva. Beane deserves criticism for his part in those decisions, but he didn't make them wholly himself. That episode REALLY screwed up our timeline... and I agree overall, he hasnt done enough at the position, but I dont know how many legit chances he's had to add the fix we need either. TL:DR I'm behind Beane doing what he shouldve been doing, supporting his guys when spotlit in the media. Anything resembling criticism needs to happen behind closed doors. Justtttt Maybe next time lay-off the caffeine before sounding off B.B. and that's the real mistake here, hand serving a sound bite to the media -
Horrible Year To Be Buyers at Trade Deadline
BillsShredder83 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bingo! We are not built for catch up... which sucks with how our defense has been playing. We are a #1 WR away from being able to boat race any team we want if/as needed. I want to build early leads and play ahead too, our DL is built to stop the pass (at the expense of run stopping). What better way to lean into that then trying to get 10-14 points on the board early, and let the DL hunt. More of what they like - pass rushing... less of their weakness - the run game. I'll also add, that a team playing behind, with a ton of defensive pressure is going to make Max EXTRA dangerous. In fact, with the extra youth/athleticism we had out there, Bishop/Hancock can be a lot more dangerous vs a team forced to throw, and we know they have to. Its a formula for turnovers. I'm not asking for the '99 Rams playbook... but I think phase 1 of our game should be to get max points on the board early... play action, intermediate chunk plays. Keep Cook involved in both... As we build a lead, work towards defensive gameplan that encourages turnovers.... 2nd half, we can start leaning more heavily into the 'control the ball' plan, we love so much. You g2 be able to move the ball through the air consistently, to do any of that though -
Horrible Year To Be Buyers at Trade Deadline
BillsShredder83 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I did, and I'm spit balling maybe got overzealous. However, he's cost controlled through this year, and '26 & '27 (team option). From there you could franchise if needed for '28. That's 3 well below market years under control. A rising star. Vikes are cross conference, no issues there. Vikes are deluding themselves into being a contender this year, you g2 slap them with an offer good enough to get them out of lying to themselves, and to sell to the roster/coaches/fans. WR's are incredibly valuable/costly and impossible to obtain with a later pick. Our first round picks are late in the round. Josh is not getting younger, and this puts us a leg up on every other team, in the most wide open playoff race I can remember. Two 1's and a 3, is not that much more than the cost of trading up to get a WR in mid-rounds, missing, and then taking another shot in a different year..... when you look at our swings and misses at the position, we don't scout it well... and theres no more sunken costs in chasing half-measures. 1. $10m Samuel. 2. 2nd rd Keon (jury still out, but hes ceiling is well below a #1, with floor at a #3/#4) 3. That other Saints WR who I already forget the name of from 2 years ago 4. Josh Palmer jury is very still up in the air, it could have some legs down the road, but he wasnt/probably isnt going to be the guy this year Everything else is sort of rounding into shape with Hairston back, Hancock putting out solid tape. Hoecht looks like a massive WIN. Addison is playing 2nd fiddle to JJ, and is nowhere near his ceiling. WR and Addison puts us over the top. I'm getting dragged a bit above with the "wheres anyone hearing Addison available".... i get it, its not being reported. Hes not on the block. Theyre a little frustrated with him, they cant pay JJ & Addison... they need a QB againnnn. I think a solid offer could benefit both teams. They probably don't WANT to move him yet... but with their unsolved problems and QB play this year, could they really refuse to do it a year early? Maybe... but it just makes so much sense for both parties to me. Draftpicks are over valued, and we showed an interest before. We have relationship w/ team from previous deal. Go get some rings this year, figure the rest out next year with a pretty damn well rounded roster. I think we've all forgot what Josh looked like with a Diggs catching balls. -

Let Hancock and Bishop roll! Max in the mix is nice, i wouldn't shun a mid level corner known for durability. DT we have enough working unless something juicy comes along^^ fully agree with you!! We injected some youth, let the kids show what they got. Dumb the damn dumb defense down if you g2! Call these teams and put in SERIOUSSS offers for WR, that signal seriousness. Two 1st's + 3rd for Addison is my starting point (i want some replacement late round picks back, 6th/7th nothing crazy). Potentially willing to send Coleman back, but initial offer needs tweaking. Hes someone id want in a player for player position swap!! Minny want escalators for Addison production? SB appearance or win? Done. More than fair. Hes a high value prospect, kick their door in and show them youre more serious. Its expensive? It hurts? Look at the sunken costs we've had trying to find an answer... while still not having the answer. Im all for the "buy it once, buy it for life". If you gotta mske a cross country trip with a trunk full of drugs, are you going to trust a Daewoo Lanos Express? To keep a few extra bucks in your pocket? First, I need to make the trip. Everything else is secondary. Im not trying to get pulled over because my tints peeling, I got a dancing bears logo on my bumper, my friend gave me a $200 paint job from IG, worrying about getting towed, sleeping at Crack head motels. JUST SAY NO Priority one, safe trip. No surprises. Handle your biz. Jordan Addison helping Beane keep that Columbian pipeline rippin'... so to speak -

Yep thats my issue. Can't be a #2 without volume. Also drive killing drops. We need a #1, but i think he could be nice spelling for Coleman or whatever we have at any given time Id rather have hollins, which again tells the state of affairs -
The New Guys: Hairston, Hoecht, Ogunjobi plus Hancock
BillsShredder83 replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
For whatever he got flagged for, common sense says it was a small addition chemically. All the compounds that are going to be huge body changes, linger in the body for testing for a long time, which means hard to take, and especially to only get flagged for only late in the season. Educated guess is it was something small to help recovery on minor to mid nagging type injury. Tl:dr whatever people want to credit from his games to PEDs and think he'll lose his "pop" arent thinking about this correctly. More likely something that changed his strength/explosiveness .0005%, but aided in injury recovery. -

Honestly im in. Hes a FA. Im sure the nfl is mad and kinda black balling him but maybe he just wants to see the field. Maybe he tried to **** a dude. Is that the worst way to acquire a talent at discount. This is the way the Patriots use to cash in on a player at rock bottom value. Fixer-upper. Might even qualify us for comp pick? -

I tried to watch some of that game yesterday, team was atrocious turnover factory. Shaheed gave up an INT that felt more like a fumble in the way it happened. Olave may have fumbled too (???), dont quote me. It was 4 TO's in a half, felt like the whole team had one . It was a flurry of TO's so I zoned out. Unsure if thats uncommon for Shaheed. Im still on board, maybe someone knowqs better than me -

They did this with a CB drafted really high, traded him to Carolina, maybe 3 years back? After checking CJ Henderson (9th overall, 2020), was traded ~ week 3 of the following season: "Henderson was traded to the Carolina Panthers with a 2022 fifth-round pick in exchange for tight end Dan Arnold and a 2022 third-round pick" Im not sure how much there is to draw on that, other than their is precedence -
Titans Trade Roger McCreary to Rams
BillsShredder83 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, not high on my shopping list, and not even a trade id being looking to pay dividends this year... but if something else like this came along and we wanted to add some competition for him next year, I wouldn't hate it.... but so far down the list, im not paying a serious "in-season premium" to get it done. Not for this type of role. Save the real ammo for WR, S. Could be nice to send a flyer pick out for DT depending on Oliver/TJ Sanders outlook
