  1. Anybody who is a specialist for a living can tell you this. If you have something you know you're good at... you will almost always do better investing resources (your time in this example) into something you already do well, than something you don't. Surgeons dont go pick up Ear, Nose, Throat Degrees... they niche down to heart surgeons or whatever. Investing in a Josh Allen offense, especially when their are deficiencies, is the way to go. I trust Josh, Josh knows what to do with them as hes shown. Investing in McD defense/Babich defense is a complete question mark. We've poured into that side of the ball with no results. Do we need to allocate every resources into the defense to MAYBE find out that it works? Its already cost too much. Chasing sunken costs. OR Spend a top notch resource, one freaking time, to see how much it pays off. You know it will pay out. Will it payout huge-ly, or just the appropriate amount? It kinda doesnt matter which. Its a known quantity. Until we show that we know how to turn a profit on defensive side of the ball, I'm not comfortable investing anything over there!
  2. FIRSTTTTT THING THEY TEACH AT POP WARNER. Not to mention there was zero to be gained even if he did pick it up. I still hate it but can wrap my head around a DE trying to scoop a ball after a FF strip on a QB, this was certainly not that scenario. Very very dumb in traffic. Zero upside
  3. Absolutely not in camp of moving on from Beane under any circumstances. McD is a defensive minded HC. You want Beane in sync with what that guy wants... a GM going rogue is a bad GM. We are a very good drafting team by every metric. We havent hit as many HRs as id like but Spencer Brown, Cook, Bernard, Shakir have all been HRs relative to where they've been picked. 1st rd has been really solid-very good for the most part (in comparison to the best GMs). 2nd rd has been a weird boogieman a bunch. 3rd and later has been excellent. I dont want McD gone, I want a bonafide top tier DC here. And Sean to be hands off that side. Time for Terry to put up or shut up, "dig a well", and pay whatever to get a serious DC in house. It makes no sense to pay into a roster what we do, build new stadium, state of art facility, be this close, and then be scared to drop a bag on someone to help get us over the top. Especially without a salary cap for coaches.
  4. I am not a fire McD guy, but his coordinator hires have not been enough. We've allocated a lot to the defense. No matter what we dump into the DL, we've seen no improvement! I don't know who that falls on... but anything short of a SB appearance and im at: 1A. Keep McD, hire a baller DC. Can't believe Fangio was floating around and we missed out, inexcusable. 1B. If that cant happen, then I'm finally ready for a change. Id so much rather #1 for the continuity and the high floor ceiling McD gives us. Its just glaringly obvious the defense and young d- Coordinator is not going to be enough. There's too much talent and resources on that side, and what feels like absolutely piss poor player development on the DL. Big Ed took forever to ball out. Rousseau has plateaud below his true ceiling. Epenesa has been solid, but unspectacular. We've had a billion DTs underperform here, and constantly shuffled. Dwayne Carter looking unrosterable as a 3rd rd pick. That wake forest 2nd rder im forgetting. Von Miller i chalk up to chit happens with that injury. Not ragging on them about any one player on DL as much as I am the entirety of the performance of the groups. Here's more: Mario Addison Vernon Butler Quinton Jefferson Javon Solomon Ill give all the rookies slack here, its 4 games in. Walker looks like a home run (but I worry about not being able to get him or other guys to their ceiling via development). Landon Jackson was always going to be a redshirt IMO, but again, i worry about his development here with our history at building these guys up. Where is our Kromer from the defense?!
  5. Pretty sure because nobody is getting open, has become the norm.
  6. Jordan Addison Phone call should be made today, we know youre not ready to make a decision, but were interested and hit us back first if yall are ready. They can have a 2nd + late flyer, or some kind of pick exchange as the second pick... or a player of their choosing within reason (non starter, unless its a WR, but then a 2nd rder needs renegotiation) Also his cap hit this year is $3.5M, so I believe we'd owe pro rated remainder, so ~$2.6M. Next year is $4.4m, with club option available for 2027
  7. It hasn't been mentioned this year but its really looking like Jordan Addison could use a fresh start! There were whispers last year about it after they paid Justin Jefferson. Hes target 1A if made available!!! Dj Moore could be available 1B. Olave 2A, Shaheed 2B.
  8. A. Zero chance dude comes out. At all. Even if this year had went well B. If by sweepstakes you mean "participation trophy" then right on. If Manning hit the draft right now, hed be lucky to go in top 10 QBs. He'd be picked after where Shedeur was
  9. Baffling they fired Vrabel to hire a bum lol why would anyone better want that job
  10. Open your eyes bro. We LABOR to move the ball. Completely one dimensional, and now the gameplay against us is public. Stack the box. Sell out against the run. Bracket Kincaid. Clog the middle of the field. Commit ZERO resources to defending the outside WRs All these dumb stats mean nothing. 3pts in a half to New England 🤣 But were gunna beat Spagnola, and then Fangio in the playoffs? We narrow the field soooo much. Outside - ZERO danger. Deep- when was the last time we hit anything deep??? That's 50% of the field defenses do not need to guard or account for
  11. GET US A F**** WIDE RECEIVER. THIS PLACE HAS BEEN DELUSIONAL ABOUT EVERYBODY EATS. THE GAMEPLAN IS PUBLIC. STACK THE BOX. SELL OUT AGAINST THE RUN. CONVERGE ON KINCAID. WE HAVE JOSH ALLEN AND A PITIFUL PASS GAME. COMPLETELY ONE-DIMENSIONAL!!! Totally!!! What a juggernaut!!! Completely not one-dimensional!!!
  12. Wait, acquiring him or shipping him out? Lol
  13. Did something happen with the league cracking on prepping/scrubbing the ball? The fumbles and bobbling are bananas tonight by both teams and multiple players
  14. Pfffttttttt doesn't matter. What an insane tske after watching our WRs for years, not be enough... no outside threat. No intermediate threat... absolutely ZEROOOOO deep threat. Defenses stack the box... crowd the line and dare JOSH FN ALLEN to beat them with his arm. ^^^Read that sentence again^^^ Dare JOSH FN ALLEN to beat them with his arm. Absolutely ridiculous to become this 1-D, handcuff the greatest QB ive ever seen in my life
  15. F*** HOCHELI. Hes killing us but at the same time, im more pissed off at completely ruining the game flow and the product!!! Id turn this game off if it wasn't Buff
  16. Blows my mind there are people around here so adamant the offense is fine, and combative about trying to add a WR. Yeah, im sure an alpha WR who can get open would really hurt the 'everybody eats' and this offense. Olave, DJ Moore, Shaheed. "Yeah no thanks 'everybody eats'". Welp, were playing a solid defense and nobody is hungry enough to pick up the fork. Im sure this WR room will be enough versus Spagnola or Fangio 🙄
  17. Without seeing it, im still 99% sure this was justified. Youre just trying to do your job and some crazed drunk guy (big too, ppl forget how big qbs are compared to normal people) opens your door, damages your face..... you pepper spray the guy, and he doesn't immediately retreat?!? That's scary af!! Would make me think hes on drugs, cause normal people dont eat pepper spray... also gives you an idea of how angry he had to be. Regardless of whatever words were exchanged, to be mad enough to do this AND THEN eat pepper spray and not stop... that's someone completely outta control. Sanchez is lucky dude wasn't carrying concealed!! I generally like Sanchez, but dudes got some demons, at minimum. Likely an alcohol problem, possibly drugs too.
  18. I remember he met his wife while here. Anybody know if he dropped the weight?? Or some of it? I hope so (Edit)Awww he did! That makes me happy as hell!!!
  19. Yes Hawes blocking is what makes him so money. At the same time, if we can continue to show hes a threat to sneak out the back door, get open and catch the ball, it will elevate his effectiveness blocking. The difference between him and Alec is that one is only a blocker and the other can also slip out and hurt you. Lee Smith was a beast in run game, but he almost never got the rock.... and he almost turns into a magnet for the defense. Don't get me wrong, he was incredibly effective, but ACTUALLY hurting the defense time to time makes defenders have to think, and hesitate a bit in attacking the ball. That's a plus. This is not a gripe or criticism, they're executing perfectly. I just think we're doing Hawes a huge favor if we can get him a real breakout game on film. Get him a couple grabs in a game. 50-60yds..... put him on tape doing some damage on play action. Make sure you don't slip into a habit of letting him become fully 1-D. So stoked on this dude!
  20. McDaniel is my first call if Brady gets HC job! Hes an OC not a head coach, and he wont have the cast of headcases hes dealing with now. Plus the rest of the coaching staff provides him good structure to focus on being a playbook guy. Would love to see what he can do with Cook!
  21. Daboll still might be a good OC! hes not a good HC, well find out on the OC though. Brady was stacked with weapons at LSU, but his team put up a boatload of points with the most mehhh group. And that offense was pass first, so we atleast know hes had success with different offense types. Hes a young cat figuring it out too. I don't think you'll hear anyone confusing him with Shannon or McVay, but yes I believe hes an objectively good OC! Hes built a strong offensive identity within our strengths as a team. Josh still gets to be Josh with less pounding. MISTAKE FREE** which is how the good teams always manage to win close games that feel like a coin flip. Our base offense gives us super predictable, easy to replicate results, that don't require hall of fame, low % probability type plays to eeek out a win. I think hes good, probably in the top third. I think he has what it takes to continue to grow too. Side note, not a prediction by me. Sometimes mid coordinators, can grow to be better HCs. I could see Brady being good at it with the right staff. Hes a leader of men, earns respect of his guys, so they buy in, and play hard for him. He doesn't have to dick around fighting and disciplining players, thats a distraction.
  22. I dont think thats fair. He put together a REALLLLY fun offense with rag-tag ass Carolina in 2021. With their typical dog*** OL along with Teddy B, Robbie Chosen, NO CMC, DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel. Not the worst WR room ever, but certainly was not supposed to be a room with 3 guys over or a doghair under 1k yards. Id just moved down here at that point and watched a ton of that team, nothing short of amazing what he did. Coach Rhule firing him was the most spineless cowardice move Ive ever seen LOL
  23. That number doesnt shock me. Just looked and he's 1/1 all 4 games, 100% catch rate. Beautiful stuff!!! Keep running the ball, Im 100% on board. Hopefully the targets continue, cause as long as that threat is there it makes him even more effective in the run game.
  24. Man it hurts to admit this, because going into the season I very much was 'plan to get nothing out of him & hope for the best' mentality. I knew better than to get too hyped about it, but through 4 weeks I've lost the will power. I gotta say if we can ramp him down a bit, get a healthy post season out of him, and win a Chip.... he seems like the kinda guy that would really give us every opportunity to get him back for a few years. Hes an outdoorsy/hunting kinda guy isnt he? With the southtowns so close, I could see him falling in love with the actual area of Buffalo too!! It kinda sneaks up on some of these guys
  25. Pretty awesome to see his awareness and cooperation about the injuries and staying healthy for the big moments in late/post season! Its got to be super difficult to admit. Seems like his body feels great, Id imagine it'd lie to you a bit. Try to convince you its different this time, it was a fluke before etc etc. Incredible maturity and sign of a team player to agree to a plan like this before signing a deal... and even more so to continue being on board with it. It'd eat away at so many players, only natural with their elevated competitive juices
