  1. I wouldn't want a GM that would accept a job without picking his guys 🤷‍♂️
  2. Is he available to come back and reinstate the curse? I dont like how its been going. Maybe we can find a witch on Etsy or Fivrr?
  3. Certain metals negatively effect ions in alcohol. I cant remember which ones, to cover your bases, make sure to get a handful of random change in your mouth and you can not fail a breathalyzer. With that said, you should never roll down your window. You are a sovereign citizen, command they treat you with respect, and you will have it. Remember- you pay their wages. Assertively remind them at every turn of conversation.
  4. Not relevant to this Indian burial ground injury cursed team. Its a 2pt swing. A. We need another week off B. We need to not suffer further injuries in wild cars because God knows we'll suffer debilitating injuries if we make a WC They need to prove to me and more importantly themselves that we aren't pretenders
  5. I. Don't. Care. Thats excuses for basement dwellers. This team needs some toughness. We need some borderline criminals on this team
  6. "KC is so good, we just gotta be ok with never getting past AFCCG because of it" That's what im hearing. Its evident to everyone under the sun, this staff is incapable of beating KC in January. It sure as heck ain't happening with a weakening roster. "McD is capable of making changes when coordinators don't live up to their standards" So why do we keep hiring bum coordinators, and letting guys learn on the job that have never done it before? Thats what you do with a young QB/team. You dont continue to lose to the Chiefs in playoffs, by getting outcoached and then promote someone from the same staff... while knowing we are in a SB window... while knowing theyre going to make rookie mistakes. You think a 35yr old rookie coordinators are suddenly going to walk in, never having done this before, and beat a staff of Reid/Spagnola? Somehow Josh is in year 9 and were further away than we were the first time we lost to them. There's nothing to be scared of. Were not hiring a HC/GM for the 17yr drought Buffalo Sabres. Were hiring for a team on the cusp of a championship... with hopefully another 5-8+ years of Josh Allen. That is going to be by far the most significant attractive opening that theres been in the NFL since literally???? 5 years at least! Could be 10+. You dont have to be brilliant to get the right guys from that pool. Its the applicants job to come in and blow you away. We will generate insane levels of interest from the top of the cream.
  7. All this is great... but look at the direction were trending. Look at the teams effort/fire Sunday. Its a sinking ship. 2021 should've been a Super Bowl winning team that year... and would've been in contention any year since then. I think they'd be a mile ahead of anybody else if you drop them in 2025. Everything has slowly gotten worse, less focused, less sharp. Talent diluted. Cap progressively getting worse. Still hiring awful coordinators. Anybody can look at this team and see the players lack of intensity. They look like they hate being at a damn game, imagine practice vibes. If the team was still responsive and in tune with their coach, we wouldn't have seen them look like that. You cant get be this good, playing someone that bad, get blown out, look disinterested, and tell me the players still believe in their coaches. Especially when its not the first or even second time this year... and thats just counting losses... weve won games that look like that this year too
  8. Not at you specifically, but ive seen Cignetti s name a bunch... dude just signed $11m/yr deal with a billion incentives, in October. If he tries to leave he owes something like $15m back. Its an interesting complicated contract to look at, but its as ironclad that he won't be leaving anytime soon, let alone this year
  9. Genuine question, bc I dunno. What would make Reggie McKenzie a good GM? Aside from GB his resume doesn't do anything for me. Not being critical, I dont have my pulse on Front Office guys to know anything about who would make a good GM
  10. Gimme Kiffin. Id prefer to dig into the college ranks over hiring from a very limited NFL pool. Hell be available and if he can make as much $$ in the NFL as NCAA, im not sure why anybody would stay down there. It might not be less work in the NFL, but your time is allocated exclusively to X & O type work when you take recruitment outta the picture
  11. All teams could really benefit from some self reflection and trading for positions they suck at scouting and/or developing (FA's signings too). The initial costs of a trade like that suck, but not nearly as much as spinning your wheels... draft a guy, 2-3years figuring out hes not it. Then spending another pick at the position. For example: look at the money we've spent on lousy/mid WR's in FA.
  12. Interesting. By far the least sexy position to play, but if you had a kid serious about sports/school, it easily would be the easiest route to getting a scholarship. Not easy, but easiest. Bonus points for parents leary of brain injury side of the sport. Ill admit to being a hypocrite here. I played football among other sports, its my absolute fav thing, but I wont be pushing my 2year old towards it when he gets old enough. Now if he comes to me and its really his thing, and hes dying to play, im not going to tell him no. Sort of ironically, I wont be pushing him towards soccer either, for the same (same'ish LOL) reason... even though thats most typical sport for kids to start in. I will be trying to nudge him towards wrestling, baseball, basketball. For all the ball busting wrestlers take, it prepared me for real life more than any other sport. I dont think id be half the man I am without it: discipline, motivation, pushing past your comfort zone, all sorts of mental barriers destroying. Translates really well to others sports to... I dont think most people realize how many NFL'ers were high level wrestlers at some point. Especially LB, DL, and OL Absolutely hate the variable point on kicks lol so with that said, i can look forward to Goodell rolling that out shortly
  13. Yep
  14. Some of these college kickers are huge now! One Terminator sized kicker is all it will take to put kickers in the cool category with fans lol
  15. Send everyone responsible straight to jail!
  16. I know your stance on it, so not directed at you... but a bunch of people I knew from meetings back when I was getting my s*** together (coming up on 6 years) used “California sober” as a dig, mostly the old-school crowd. I get why. There’s some risk, especially for people who were totally clean for years and then decide to try green again. That can wake the compulsive stuff back up. But that group is very small. For everyone else-the people who’d never even try getting clean unless they had some kind of release valve, it can really help make transition easier. Same idea as a cheat meal keeping you from bailing on a diet fully and binging for a month lol I’m basically fall into 2nd group. Even before id ever tried quitting seriously I'd figured out if i needed a quiet night, or to not blow my paycheck, If i rolled one up when it started getting dark, it crushed any drive I had to start drinking… there'd even be nights where i tried to change my mind and try to binge drink, and couldn't even get the drinks flowing on purpose. drinking is what fired up my drive to end up in the powder too A comic kinda summed up my experience with drinking and cocaine perfectly with: “Drinking without smoking is like trying to poop without peeing.”
  17. Had to look that up. Id heard of it but didnt recall what it was by name. If were stuck with mcd next year, id very much like to see him in as OC
  18. Yeah its been out there. Good for him too! Hes easy to pick on, and an awful HC, but hes a likeable dude and likely still a very good OC. Guess we'll see... maybe more than we even realize
  19. Thats always been his flaw. You cant count on him for any type of volume. His last season here, im not looking it up, but he had like 16/17 games with 3 or less catches... and like 14 of those were 2 or less. But yes if he could increase his production by 200-250% from last time, than yes, he'd be a welcome addition 😂 This says "through 3 weeks" in 2023. I genuinely dont know what the full season would look like, maybe its this good... but cant tell anything from that graphic
  20. Shavers? Cmon. The only person who should be worried about him making the PS is his landlord. I have a hard time caring about ST's when weve continued to invest more heavily in them than the components of a real offense. I know they matter but: 1. Defense 2. ST's 3. 4. 5. Offense Its a priority list that I cant bring myself to even care about right now.
  21. 2 things: 1. Absolutely infuriating to read about Samuel. What an absolute POS. Whats his f***** deal? Got paid really well and hes standing around during scramble drill? Its embarrassing to have that guy on the roster let alone getting any meaningful snaps. Especially when Moore is better suited for these clearing routes.... and ill indications pointing to Elijah atleast "caring." ....after 15months of standing around holding his hand while hes hurt or "hurt" or whatever is going on. Im guessing ther are cap implications that prevent us from cutting him, but if there isnt hes the perfect player to "execute" in front of everyone else -- via the waiver wire. I know its not in our DNA but he should be snornfully cut in front of the whole team. Embarass him, even if he doesn't care. 2: We've seen Gabe at his peak- which leaves a lot to desire, and i still dont think were getting that player because of rust/injury. But I gotta say, even as a puff piece section of the article... I dont trust anything positive any of the DB's had to say about him or anyone else. Not that they should handle it differently- they shouldn't- but after hearing them talk Keon up all offseason, I don't trust any compliments they have for anyone. Anywhere, thanks for posting. Don't take my vitriol towards the messenger!! Its Wednesday and im as angry as I was when the game ended. Maybe angrier. I have yet to see anything indicating anybody on this team cares right now, including McD. I know everyone's piling on him, but I honestly havent EVER had the belief he didnt care before. Everything weve seen on the field, players demeanors, these articles all certainly seem to reflect it. I know its not his style, but we should've seen red face, spit flying, borderline cardiac event from him on the sidelines. Hes lost the room and knows it.
  22. Really digging Chris Bell from Louisville as a realistic target. Mostly being projected in 2nd rd, but seems like a "riser" and could end up in 1st rd by draft time, especially if he continues to play well, have a good Senior Bowl week appearance 6'2" 220lbs 4.4'ish. Currently at 62 rec, 792yds, 6 td. This is his 3rd year with good production, quiet freshman year. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Chris-Bell-WR-Louisville Here's a game from this year versus Miami, who has pretty nasty defense. They've fallen quite a bit as of recent, but thats more on offensive side of ball. @27 second mark was a play that really put him on my radar. He took over and won this game which was a pretty huge upset at the time https://youtu.be/PbsyBBvOxxs
  23. I just want to share something I saw yesterday from Cover 1 guys. Bernard is playing hurt right now. I don't think it's any shock, and its its own problem, but he didnt just become a bum overnight at least. Id been really down on that one as of recent. Im assuming theres been so many injuries they've made him push through, but he had zero explosion and clearly a limp of sorts on the play they showed.
  24. What NFL HC job has opened up, at any point recently or not, has been a better place to step into and win immediately? Im drawing a blank, I'm sure there has been, but this has g2 be at the top. Let the names roll in and see what you have. Spend some $$ and gather some top consultants. I dunno, youre a billionaire, how would he hire a different job at a company he owns, that he couldn't possibly know anything about doing, on a personal level? Do that lol
  25. Everything that could help us the most, can be done without the constraints of a salary cap. Your point is valid, and makes a potential hire scary, but it need to be done. Terry needs to hire a board of consultants to help interview/pick the right guys, that costs $$$.... but no salary cap on that. I think McD couldve done ok here IFFFF we went balls out and made sure we got top coordinators. Should've been super obvious by the end of Dorsey's tenure!! We have a Ferrari, we cant let the soberest town drunk drive the car.... def cant bank on a Rookie Coordinator with a Championship Window that open..... we learned nothing there Looking back in hindsight, I think McD likely held Frazier back more than we realize... Im not going to cry over it, he wasn't elite, might not have even been "good", but damn Babich was a crappy decision too. Anybody have a pulse for who the hot named coordinators are? We cant really afford to be this picky (probably).... but we cant go with the full on youth movement again, but I do not want some dinosaurs in here. I really dont love the idea of picking from the NFL's leftovers, too small of a pool. Are there names from college ranks we can kick the tires on?
