Why would they not put a spy on him. Fireable offense to not. 0 pass game. All run team. And a spy doesn't really take a defender out of the run game much, if at all, either

What WRs have we passed on that have been in elite tier? Ladd has been pretty good, and def wss the better pick... but an outside WR is a premium position to fill. A slot guy isn't, because its fillable. There are plenty of pretty good ones floating around. Its manageable to trade into a position where one's available.. teams will entertain trades for them. Their contracts in FA arent overly prohibitive. Not talking down on these guys. Saying elite QBs, LT, DE and outside WRs are guys you cant get in their prime.

Im very much a 'you are what you show you are' guy. But hes been setup for failure all year. Zero chance to get in any rhythm. No 3rd down targets. When he has gotten a hand off, theres 2mins left, were up 2 scores, 100% sold out vs run. We need to get him some real drives, not for his good, our own. Cook has never seen this type of work load and hes our most important player currently. If we wanna make a run, g2 let off the gas with him. Also a thunder lightning thing would benefit the duo and that OL. We gotta few weeks to get it going and its a worthy investment.

Correct - hes actually the opposite of the nutjob you want. Jalen Carter is a true nutjob. Highlyyyyy competitive, loud, plays through whistle and sometimes after a little bit (which i don't hate at all, situationally). Sometimes that nutjob will catch you a dumb flag, might even get you thrown out for spitting lol thats a small part of nutjob package you sign up for. Pickens is the opposite. Thompson has looked good in the limited time we've seen him. I've seen more than enough of Bernard to know the dude can barely walk, and the only reason hes suited up is been that they literally wont let him sit due to all the other injuries. If we had enough others healthy at the position, he probably wouldve got multiple weeks off. Im much more p*d at Beane for allowing this to happen, than I am Bernard pushing through an injury he 100% should not be asked to. Dude has serious guts, and is being s*** all over for it. Now, in your defense, Thompson's play has made it where you shouldn't take him off the field. Thats a compliment to him more than a knock on Bernard. The best news is Bernard will get a chance to get right, hopefully an extended one. If Thompson continues to play like he has, he needs to keep starting, and having a healthy/healthier Bernard is a great alternative should we need it. Its mind boggling how hurt everyone is though. Benford really turned on the boosters as of late, and looks back to old self. Same with Milano. Im not counting on their continued health as is, but its nice to get confirmation these guys aren't suddenly dogs***, after getting extended. As far as Milano, hes gone next year either way, so lets hope we ring the sponge out on his usefulness at least

I cant agree with the premise of this qualifying as a top defense. If you had a 'top defense' and the defense was the cause of your playoff exit (not the offense), then you never had a top defense. Amplify this across multiple years - the defense being responsible for basically 80-100% of your exit's... then you have an even better sample size. 'It could be worse' is not the same as having a top defense.

It doesnt take anywhere near as drastic of an example for this to be true, but yes you are 100% correct. Give this years team an high-end #2 (Waddle, Tee, Ladd, Zay Flowers, Addison, Devonta Smith) and even mediocre - above average OC (2021 Daboll comes to mind as a good example), and we are by far the run away odds favorite to win it all this year. I fully understand chances are we'll never have an elite #1 here with Josh ever again...... the ask is reasonable to be able to add a similar type of player)

None. Man yall have short memories lol we beat a pretty bad team. We looked decent, but Im not falling for it. Remember how we looked vs KC (who isnt their normal selves, but probably isnt as bad as they look right now either) ? Remember how they looked immediately after? At minimum we need a serious talent infusion..... but at minimum, limping into playoffs does not bode well for us making a Coaching and GM change... nor does it convince me they'll do anything drastic to try and get Super Bowl contender type coordinators in house... There's some of that, which is good. There's a larger serving of "have to play this way". One dimensional is never good. We literally dont have the ability to throw to outside WRs. Thats never good. Its better to have something that can work in a game, or a script... trying to win 4 games with one tool in the bag and no others, is not ideal... also astronomical odds of being able to do it 4xs in the playoffs lol It is what it is. We dont have the personnel to fix it. We have no way of getting it either. Even a 70/30 split like this would be awesome. We dont have that.

The girl was hammered, the towel has no special meaning to her, she repeatedly shook it directly in someone's face all game, intentionally, ignoring requests to stop. Someone "snapped" took it away.
