  1. Some type of spirituality, volunteering in a project that interests you, and family seems like the ticket for a lot of folks. Something to give them a strong sense of purpose back. Likely why so many wind up coaching HS ranks or lower, a little bit of all that wrapped into one. Hope your bro finds what hes looking for!
  2. Man so spot on. Sports can give you that fire to push yourself past what others can do and what you thought you could ever do, but this is the flip side to it. I could see how this effect would be extra potent to a retired millionaire in his mid 30s. Trying to find something that hits as hard as your career did has got to be a part of the solution, easier said than done.
  3. Enjoyed reading that post. I know it took me a few years to find my footing after h.s. school sports ended. It was my personal identity, and I didn't know what to channel that new free time into. I cant imagine how exponentially harder that would've been had I added college or made it to the pros before having that yanked from under me. Seems like the nfl makes a decent effort to help these guys prepare for it, but in that warrior mindset, they don't believe its ever going to happen to THEM.
  4. You think a permanently injured brain (from football) wouldn't make it hard to adjust back? Nobody is saying you need to donate money, it doesn't cost anything to try and put yourself in their shoes. It's a different set of problems than us with 9-5s, doesn't make it less valid
  5. You can't bump my bump, good sir! Lol
  6. There's not a team I see Josh going 4-12 on. Maybe this analogy worked for Josh coming out of the draft, but no, not after 3 years of seeing Josh.
  7. "Assistant to the assistant regional manager" comes to mind 😆
  8. I thought id be dodging this place like the plague but its been pretty reasonable around here for being within a week of the end.... well other than this being in a theoretical trade Josh thread 😆
  9. AND THERE IT IS 😆 you didnt get here till page 3... time for a tune up on that spidey sense?
  10. and even then barring the wheels completely falling off, what would anyone do with 5 picks 25-32 lol i realize youre just playing the game here, and I am too... but to me, i just dont even see that moving the needle for me, AND THAT FEELS HELLA GOOD!!!!
  11. Agreed. The game has shifted, it's no longer balanced between offense and defense. I wouldn't complain about adding to the defense, but I think offensive weapons are worth more than am equally skilled player on defense. If you wanna beat the Chiefs you gotta outscore them, because the rules are seriously stacked against a defense.
  12. Honestly that big hybrid guy you're talking about was Jeremy Chinn and (2m drive from me) Kyle Dugger in the draft this past year... and our name was mixed up with both of them. Problem is we aren't ahead of the curve on this. It's basically a brand new position, and everyone in the league is going to be trying to find their hybrid guy over the next few years. This "new position" is not going to go away... and until college ranks start regularly implementing and churning them out, it's going to be few and far between, and you're gunna see reaches for them. Someone hop in a time machine and bring George Wilson back 😆😆
  13. Decided to bump this rather than start a new thread. What are some of everyones fav mock draft sites. Not looking for simulator, just different "expert" mocks. Im sure most have used this but i prefer Walter football https://walterfootball.com/draft2021.php
  14. He hurt our feelings, so now hes not an NFL caliber player?
  15. I get letting milano walk here, but thats leaves almost zero excuse to let Williams walk too. He was a stud this year, NO REASON AT ALL TO CREATE NEW HOLES. You can only plug so many holes w/ the draft and id rather use them to actually upgrade then spin our tires, and get less production at the same time
  16. I'd think Watson is smart enough to avoid that. The skill positions suck and for a guy that has openly disliked his coaching, understandably so, would make sure to go to a place he can he happy. Even when they were winning I dont think anyone was happy, just something you put up with for the rings.
  17. Snead uses draft picks the way I'd spend money If terminally ill lol i kinda like it... fun to watch when it's not your worry
  18. Lol you read that too quick. Some guy I never saw before was 💩ING on josh saying the same stuff we always hear. Mel's fun though, caffeine chugging certified Martian 😆😆 hard to dislike him with always having joshs back. Thank God 6 other teams didn't listen!
  19. Felton w/ a nice td in sr bowl just now
  20. Biggest weakness this year is pass rusher.... SO LETS CUT OUR BEST PASS RUSHER TO SAVE 7M 🙄🙄🙄
  21. Tannehill???????????? dude watttttttttttttttt That dude could change this offense, and be a redzone monster. 5 years ago i wouldve said we need to add to the D to keep up with the Chiefs.... and it wouldnt hurt, but i dont think thats how we beat them. We need more firepower, keep the chains moving and improve in RZ. Not to mention having another pass catcher wouldve helped with our receivers banged up. You cant predict it happening, but still passing was 80% of our offense, hard to over invest at the position
  22. Good for them! They deserve it. Also, Wade seems like a really popular guy on the team! That's cool
  23. Annoying but w/e. I would've liked to see him have limited snaps or be depth for when someone else gets hurt. He could plug in for a few games a year very well
  24. so can we safely take a sigh of relief, or are we so used to bad things that Josh MUST be having liver failure?!
